Our pilot Gabriel captured some amazing footage whilst flying missions over Essex, Herts and into the City of London - sit back, crank up the volume and enjoy the ride.
Way cool! Thanks for capturing and posting your flying day. I was a U.S. Army helicopter Aero Scout in Germany in the late 1970s when the Cold War was in full-swing. How I loved being an aviator! Your work is crucial to a thriving and stable society. You are heroes! ❤
Loved watching this. When I had an unpleasant accident on my motorcycle in 2014 I was left with life threatening injuries. Hearing the Essex air ambulance hovering above the scene was like id been sent an angel and its a sound I will never forget. Thank you!!!!
The ONLY reason I am still here is because of the Air Ambulance service. I am in awe of what they do. They allowed my 18 month old son to grow up with a Daddy. Forever in your debt.
very very very nice video. You must be a very proud person mr pilot. Your work is greatly importand and rewarding, you are a great assets to our society! All the best.
This video gives me the opportunity to see through the eyes of a pilot, and this is such a good way to be motivated ! Nothing better than the dream itself 😊
Essex & Herts Air Ambulance: From the Netherlands i wish Gabriel and his medical assistent, and also the total staff Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Very nice video. I'm not a big fan of music in videos, especially with videos involving flight. I personally like hearing the radio chatter, the engines, and etc., but I must say this was the exception. I really enjoyed the video. Good footage puts us in the pilots seat, well done.
Awesome 👏👏 but I can only dream of what it would be like with music , better for sure. Bless all those who fly to help others in their hour of need ❤️🙏🙏👏👏
Great video and great job you guys do! Thanks for sharing. I just have a question, given that all of these flights were VMC (visual meteorological conditions). Do you ever fly missions in IMC (instrument meteorological conditions) and, if so, what are your weather minimums?
Great vid. I normally prefer to the helicopter and radio but this happens to be one of my favorite songs. I was surprised to see all the paper charts. Was that just for training? Do you usually rely on GPS?
You can always tell when the person posting the video really doesn't understand helicopter enthusiasts. They use a music soundtrack in place of the helicopter flight sound and believe it enhances the viewing experience. Might as well just post a video with no audio. Same effect.
langhammars Me too. It was great, with lovely uplifting music. So many whiny idiots every single time someone's go the _audacity_ to put music on an aviation video! There are plenty of videos out there for when we want to hear the turbine spool up...
Class 1 departures. In the event of one of the two engines failing, they can land back safely if they fly within the required envelope. Once they reach the required height they can fly away if an engine fails.
Nice video, good takes but a pity that we cannot hear the sounds we like: helicopter sounds. Please do not "enhance" with music, let it as it is in reality.
These helicopter pilots are highly trained and skilled. In future, please train them also how to keep their heads as still as possible, or move their heads much more slowly than usual, when using a helmet camera! We can do without motion sickness from the comfort of our stationary office chairs.
