Its hard to appreciate a pilot until you realize that this one person is holding the lives of hundreds of people ON A DAILY BASIS. Cheers to the pilots, without your expertise, your professionalism, and your dedication, most of us wouldn't be able to experience the world.
I think everyone appreciates pilots. It's the one mode of transportation that people take the least often in their lives compared to other modes which makes it a bit scary and therefore highly appreciated when safe. Your comment should apply to bus drivers or something more common.
@@ChequeWriter Commercial pilots _are_ bus drivers. And no one even mentions traffic controllers and airport crews, all of them as dedicated, professional, experienced and knowledgeable. Commercial aviation safety depends as much on them as the flight crew. Airlines, manufacturers and government oversight are, too.
As someone who is scared of thunderstorms and flying, this is horrible .But the pilots are chill and even humming songs, glad to know we are in good hands with people like these
IDK about 737 but on the Embraer 175 / 190 when you turn the wipers on the same speed setting they synchronize. Looks to me like the CA has his on the lower speed and the FO higher speed so that's why
Podcast68, Adding to your thoughts, I'm impressed with Captain speaking up and Reiterating that jr.officer continuing T/O check list and finishing before going on to something else 😀!!! Don't jump around, check each other's work. I agree with you, good team's hold each other's feet to the fire. There may be hurt feelings for a while but you can get to your destination safe and alive. 😉
I'm a semi truck driver I give my hats off to yall pilots we go threw some stuff in conditions but yall take it to the next level . The professionalism an skills is astonishing .
Huge respect to you for keeping food, electronics and groceries on the shelves by driving long shifts, the world doesn't acknowledge you guys and pilots enough
@@floseatyard8063 How about me? I keep the ATM's running and full. I want some recognition too! And while I'm at it, my neighbor Larry fixes street lights in our city. He said he wants some recognition also! Uh Oh, here comes my cousin LeRoy, telling me he heard there was someone giving out adulation and praise. LeRoy is a chef so without him what would we eat? We would all starve! 😆😆😆😆
As a native Englishman I find it insane how non native english speakers who go into the flying business have to learn all the terminology and be fluent in English too! Major respect to the dedication involved in doing that!
@@dustyflair Perhaps read about the history of aviation. The French had airships in the mid 1800s, and almost-successful aircraft in the late 1800s; the French and Danish had successful aircraft by 1906; some also consider that the German Gustave Whitehead may have beaten the Wright Brothers to the first successful flight by 2 years (1901 vs 1903). So no, it's not particularly fitting, it's probably more to do with a combination of global power through the first half of the 20th century and globally agreed on languages of communication.
@@dustyflair Maspeople? Are you even a native English speaker?! Anyway, you're wrong again. Two of the first passenger planes were the French Farman F60 and the Dutch Junkers F13, both from 1919. DeHavilland did indeed create a lot of successful models during the interwar and postwar periods, but it's certainly not correct to say that "English speakers invented aviation", or even commercial aviation.
wait, you are down to going after typos? Listen bro, when you are that desperate you have LOST the argument. THE USA INVINTED THE MODERN AIR TRANPORTATION SYSTEM DIP(*&. Otherwise we would be using ENGLISH.....But yea man we can thank Germany.@@DavidTheScientist
Got respect or not, flying with such condition is dangerous. Why not delay it until good weather or not in thunderstorm like that. It makes bad turbulence in the air.
it's easy. Trust your instruments. Wings level ensuring youre in a climb once you get to where you need to Autopilot. Now you manage. That sounds easy but now that I think about it lol
Just a little information to those not familiar with jet engines. When the engines are operating in heavy rain the pilots put on a switch from cockpit that makes igniters (spark plugs) inside the engine go on "continuous fire", meaning they ignite all the time. In the extremely rare event that the engine have a flame out due to rain, it will immediately be reignited. The re-ignition are so fast, that it most often are not able to be seen on engine instruments, in the cockpit. A jet engine are actually slightly more efficient when in damp/rainy weather due to the higher expansion rate the air have inside the engine increasing EPR (Engine pressure ratio) of the engine. The engine pressure ratio are a very accurate indication of your jet engines workings. The EPR indicator in the cockpit are one of the 4 key engine instruments along with fuel flow, engine temperature, oil pressure/temperature.
@@xxjacksparrowxx6742 You are welcome. No reason for passengers to be scared of something, they with a little insight, will understand are considered and dealt with technologically many years ago. Lets hope we soon see the first hydrogen jet engine operated planes, so we also do not have to be scared flying destroys our atmosphere. I am personally embarrassed we have not had these engines/planes last decade.
@@xxjacksparrowxx6742 Not soon enough in my opinion. The North Sea summit agreement will result in 220 million people transitioned from fossil fuel made electricity to electricity from offshore windmill parks. That will not be felt by the consumers really but the REAL revolution are that same agreement will result in more green hydrogen produced daily than produced in the entire world to date. Unfortunately these amounts of green hydrogen will first hit the market in volumes around 8-10 years from now and our planets regulatory systems really are not able to wait that long. We should be at 220 Carbon PPM and are at unprecedented (2022 number) 417 PPM. Glaciology have proven that 30 PPM´s rise above the 220 have triggered long term climate changes causing the 3 largest species extinction periods we have been able to document. My insights are the reason why I left aviation to try to contribute more positively to humanity´s long term survival.
I understand what they say regardless English procedures. Are they Indonesian? Edit: yes, they are Indonesian after he said “deras banget cuy 😂”, awal nonton kira orang Malaysia.
Pilot videos really make you appreciate pilots. I worked for an airline as a F/A. We were required to sit in the jump seat in the cockpit at least once during training. I did it multiple times during ferry flights. It was always very cool, like a video game. Although I have flown through some bad weather, hit by lightening, I have never flown in the cockpit during weather during take off or landing. Landing during minimum visibility is crazy. 737-200,300,500,700
Hi Daniel. How you pilots keep your composure while flying through wet weather and clouds without seeing what is in front of you is astounding. The trust in your instruments and nerves is amazing. Props to ya
It’s all about the training, when I learned to fly things were gone over so much that it became automatic. The training kicks in for lack of better terminology.
Recording when the aircraft is in motion is not allowed per some company rules. Captain Boeing records while the aircraft is in motion but flyingwithbigern will post videos while the aircraft is in motion
Just flew in on a 737-800. A peek in the cockpit was amazing. Couldn’t believe how small the windscreens are. Peekaboo! I see a runway. I think? Small space too. Looks more like you put it on like a pair of pants than get in and sit down. Salute to all you pilots/ copilots and crew…in the air and on the ground. Especially you aero engine mechs.
Amazingly professional and talented. My father (RIP) was an airline captain for over 40 years and this brings back so many memories for me. Thank you for your dedication and safe flying service you are appreciated. Subscribed!
Just last week flew in a 737-800 from Denver to San Jose. We backed from the gate just as a snowstorm moved in, waited for our turn to be de-iced (including some engines-off time to clear ice from the flaps), lined up on a runway with low visibility and blowing snow, took off into turbulent air, and... everything was fine. The pilots apologized for the delays, but they did it by the numbers to keep everyone safe. Kudos.
I totally admire pilots…complete respect. I love watching planes, can stare at them all day, complete fascination ever since I was a kid. Amazing. To these guys and air traffic controllers I salute you
Cheers to you sir. Thank you and your colleagues for the professionalism and rigorous attention to detail that allows the general flying public to largely fly without worry.
Very professional..I love the fact that you and your copilot check everything..I would feel very comfortable knowing your at the controls if I was on your plane..safe flying my friend 👍
they make it look so easy when in reality its anything but .what a huge responsibility it must be to have so many lives in your hand ... Pilots do an amazing job .. they make vacations and international travel possible for all of us
We had to land through something similar to that down the coast from Barcelona some years back. It was rough as anything, people were vomiting and some were praying. Thankfully we got down safely but the resort was flooded and parts of the beach had been washed away
We sit in the back with the jack and cola and the food while these folks are up the sharp end with all these buttons and switches and dials absolute legends thanks to these wonderfully talented ladies and gentlemen we get to see the world many thanks 🤙🤙🤙🤙
I watched Prometheus a couple days ago and some of the flying scenes was tense. This video is on another level! its hard to put into words the astonishment whilst viewing this level of skill in these conditions, Pilots are cool af! The views you have on a weekly basis are probably the best anybody has ever had whilst working!
It's the constant minuscule movements and adjustments on the yoke (I think that's the right word?) that you just don't appreciate until you see it because it doesn't seem to result in any discernible movement of the aircraft. Truly a skill.
@@keithkhanye1806hats because they are linked together by a cable drive system and you also actually need to move both of them anyway as each wheel is responsible for a specific set of flight controls ( for pitch control both wheels are connected to the elevators , but when it comes to roll control captain wheel has the ailerons and fo wheel controls the flight spoilers. And you need everything at the same time for a normal operation of the aircraft.
When senior pilot starts in with that quiet singing/humming we all know that’s a sign of deep thinking about options he needs to consider while taking off into that dam thunderstorm! And don’t tell me it’s not! HaHa!
Suasana bertolak belakang di kursi penumpang..kalau hujan hujan begini rasa was was dan khawatir menyelimuti diri, eh di ruang cookpit para pilot anteng anteng dan santai saja. 😁😁😁. Tayangan begini yang bikin kita makin yakin soal keamanan pesawat dan hilang rasa takut kala naik pesawat. Thanks Capten
Getting a plane into the air is the easy and hard part. The hardest are flying bc of tho, u have immaculate autopilot and interfaces; that cover almost ever single thing an AIRCRAFT ENGINEER COULD THINK OF IS ABSOLUTELY TRUE. The amount of physical and mental inputs and outtakes during a flight are staggering. Next time u have a blessed complete flight thank ur Flight Crew.
I'm impressed how the Captain stopped the co-pilot from moving on with the check-list, until he finished the takeoff check list 👍. You have to speak up in the cockpit, when you're unsure of something. 😕 It can keep you from having major problems later on. He did and even emphasized doing takeoff check list 👍 😉. Great job!
i flew from Bali to jakarta and Jakarta to Dubai last year you could've been my pilot and so i say terimikasi sir you and all your colleagues deserve every rupiah you're paid and more🙏🙏🙏
Im old, so when i see a young man like this captain land a plane im impressed. He has a very cool demeanor and i appreciate that plus i get to age myself with the fonz
@@DHU11 who's worshipping? what pilots do takes a lot of training, skill, and pressure... we pay people to chase a ball billions of dollars. Professionals like doctors, pilots, etc. don't get that kind of appreciation. Being a commercial pilot comes with a lot of responsibility that you clearly don't understand.
Having to trust your equipment when you can't see anything in front of you when you know (in theory) there should be nothing there but not being able to see would be the worst for me. Like when you get the downpour white out when driving a car instinct says pull over and stop. Pilots are amazing
Every time I see an airplane video, as real as it is, I can't help thinking, "This can't be real..There is NO WAY that something that big and heavy can fly!"
