How do you know theyre swedish?

Scott Skadsheim You can hear the F/O speaking some swedish, and i would guess the captain also is swedish considering they are flying from Sweden.

Charts do not change dates unless there's change on the procedure, airport, runway, nav/comm frequencies, MSA, if no changes have occurred, the last current date is valid, and legal.

Age doesn't matter. I've seen FOs in their 60s, flying with a 40some captain. Sometimes a senior captain of a defunct airline takes another job as an FO to continue flying, though in most cases, most opt to rather retire that starting over. Other times a senior FO prefers not to upgrade to maintain staying home longer and often, better family life. In this case, there are two captain, so either a checkride, recent FO to captain upgrade, or a schedule swap for x reason. So many factor.

may be company procedures to do that? BA used to tell pilots flying through turbulence to leave the auto throttle on until before minimums as it could react quicker than the pilot. And the pilots were flying manually when MCAS struck or it wouldn't have been activated

I have seen loads of videos of airbus landings and hardly ever seen them use manual thrust. Anything to do with as the throttles don't move as soon as you disconnect you have to guess where to put them otherwise the engines would power up?

Just let the dude fly his plane the way he likes He knows what he has to do and can do.

Simple fact. The aircraft is of the company. Fly it the way the company asks you to. If they prefer max automation, do that. If they encourage manual flight when conditions permit, do that.
