Autbelli the memes are good but the music is high key so much better. Even in the span of 4 years, Achievement aged beautifully. It’s what I needed going into 2020, a nostalgic eerie MIDI experience :)
The entity turned to me with an otherworldly yet calming aura and spoke into my mind: “Come get some grains, friend.” And somehow I knew everything was going to be okay.
For some reason, this song makes me feel emotional in a way I can't describe. It makes me feel feelings of nostalgia and reminiscence on my past. I feel happy everytime I listen to it. God bless PilotRedSun.
Reminds me of the little peace and innocence I once had. Waking up on a cloudy day, seeing the grey sky reminding me "hey, it's ok buddy, there's not much to do today. Relax and do what you want." I feel like I see stuff through music. Pilotredsun has created music that allows me to see interesting things that remind me of peace and tranquility but, a little bit of melancholy.
Pilotredsun is actually an amazing composer in music. His music gives me so many different feels at once and it's incredible how effective he is at it.
It just really makes me... appreciate the current moment. Like, I feel thankful for being alive, for being able to listen to music, thankful for the fact that, even if the world isn't perfect, there are still things that are worth living for, even if it is just to be able to breathe another day. This music makes me feel alive.
If there ever was a song to audibly represent how it feels going home every day after the gym. It would be this one. It just has the same loading screen feeling after a workout
Time to rise and shine. You deserve an oats of the highest caliber. Won't you try my wheat? Come get some grains, friend! My barley's top of the shelf, I'm a man of my word! *I KNOW A GOOD RYE WHEN I SEE ONE*
Pilotredsun's image reminds me of how so many people are part of this system, that they are taught from birth gives them fulfillment, but in reality they are tricked to work and die for the 'nation' and not to work for themselves. It could be honorable, or a good thing, but so many people get caught up in the system, and some never realize or realize too late, that true happiness comes from not being forced to do things you don't want to do, but the ability to go out and experience what life has to offer. Constantly trying to acquire more money and things to feel better and more secure, and idea you will maybe one day achieve better, is only a perpetual prison, you should be aiming or striving to do it now, when it matters.
This producer reminds me of what it was like to be a child in the 2000s. When technology wasn’t as advanced as it is now. When you would go outside, bike, hike, do some shit. All because you weren’t allowed to be on the computer all day. And wake up as a human should. Not saying everyone lived that. I’m just describing what the song reminds me of personally.
An irrevocably emotional track, inspiring melancholy and longing, yet hope and persistence. Bodybuilder calmly informs us that the best of times have already passed, but gives us nothing to doubt the future, and reminds us of the joy that once was. Echoing, droning synths accomodate a simple, ponderous soundfont, and the track goes through many changes, most notably becoming an absolute masterpiece of melancholy at 1:36. This track sounds like watching the sun come up at 5-6AM, smelling the fresh morning dew fill out the air and give way to a new day full of opportunities. I love this track. It may be my favorite of Pilotredsun, which is no small feat. I remember hearing the song pick up in tone and tempo as a dull blue light fell over my town and my body was filled with a bittersweet sensation of exhaustion, I was playing Bioshock Infinite at the time. It's a memory that I'll never truly lose. To summarize, Bodybuilder may be full of sorrow and longing, but it enlightens the way to further happiness and progress. I love it.
A Basket of Fresh Strawberries Waiting Patiently on The Staircase. A Basket of Fresh Strawberries Waiting Patiently on The Table. A Basket of Fresh Strawberries Waiting Patiently on The Bed. The Basket of Strawberries Wait Patiently.
this song reminds me of someone i used to love, of which i found pilotredsun through. he (the person i loved) broke my heart, but i get nothing but amazing bittersweet feelings from this song. maybe it reminds me of the few times i'd actually receive affection from him, added it being a long distance relationship, those very rare few moments he bothered talking to me were almost heaven, and just as the song makes me feel, were very bittersweet. i'm so glad he's no longer a part of my life.
This guy, and i most definitely can NOT in any way stress this to the fullest extent, is awesome. He makes cool videos, and really fantastic music, i hope once he comes back to us he'll start doing stuff like video game music and more shorts, i'd love to see more of this awesome music, all of it just... It makes me feel so many emotions all at once, like i'm being thrown across the room and then thrown back at myself, and i know you aren't here to listen to me babble on, but i could probably go on for a thousand miles more.
If you all like these nostalgic/bittersweet tunes Aphex Twin/AFX (recommend Alberto Balsalm and Slo Bird Whistle) and Boards of Canada (half their stuff lol) are known for this. PRS is the first musician in over a decade that can hit that feeling the same way, I'm so glad I discovered their music.
I wouldn’t call this a jtard comment since this just slightly references it in a way that it blends in with the rest of the normal comments. So luckily for you, you keep your spine.
Love the redrawn Achievement background haha This, Warsaw, 8-Train, Fat Cat, and Snow Day are some of my absolute favorites. That album is so damn good.
This is the perfect song it’s beautiful yet so simple it’s dark yet so light in the sense of being more like a poem of music it’s unexplainable how much this jam is unnapreciated
You can download it to your PC and find them in your local files in Spotify. if you want to listen to it on your phone too you can put the songs into a playlist, then import the same song files to your phone and while connected to the same network, the phone will automatically "download" the songs and you can listen to them on your phone anywhere and without network connection
this brings back such bad memories for me because I first discovered this at that time. At the time I was becoming someone bad, going against the rules and getting in trouble. I felt unleashed in those times but the memories fog it up.
This song feels like the endcredits of your life. All those sad moments but also the moments of joy, happiness, love, adventure, hope. Your childhood, your teenage years, your youth, your adulthood. Everything. It's like a recap of all your memories. Amazing.
This is so calming and makes me think of myself in a peaceful empty space all alone, watching the still environment and allowing myself to daydream into another world, far more uneventful yet more calming and pleasant than the real one.
check out boards of canada, they also make cool nostalgic music like this. bodybuilders more sad vibe remind me of Turquoise Hexagon Sun by Boards of Canada
The dog and the ant (the only two forms of sentient life in the picture) being gone, as well as the window only being a painting on the wall, makes the picture more desolate and alien in my opinion. It might actually compliment the surreal nature of the album better, though.
I’ve come back to this song LITERALLY EVERY YEAR. It’s so good I love it so much. It has such a nostalgic vibe and feeling to it, makes me sad but fills me up with joy, I don’t know how to explain it. It’s so great and I miss when this was on Spotify. Gosh it needs to come back!!
A close comparison, both can be considered downtempo influenced. I like to think of pilotredsun as more IDM based while HOME is more chillwave, but to each their own. Home is fantastic, so is pilotredsun :)
