Beautiful Powerbook - the screen still looks amazing!!!! I wish there were more trackballs around, these were cool notebooks.

Wonderful restoration! Do you think that a PowerBook180c can boot straight from a PowerBook 170 internal hard drive, if one simply swaps the drives?

I have exactly the same machine, untouched. Are you able to provide a link or details on the SCSI2SD drive you installed in your 180C

@@ARCJavMaster Thank you very much for coming back to me. Did you ever do a RU-vid of the replacement process? I have had my 180C apart so mechanically I am Ok to replace the existing HD but wondering if there are any tricks one has to be aware of?

@@peterhoward4958 I do appreciate comments and visitors, and try to always reply. Didn't made a video, but is pretty straightforward, just remove physically the original drive and this will fit in it's place. The 'hard' part is to set up toe device and then transfer or install software as only can be done by floppies or network (no emulators)

@@ARCJavMaster Thanks for the quick reply, i have the original System7.5 (3.25" floppies) so if it is a simple process of installing the new drive and booting from the floppy drive hopefully it should be pretty straight forward.

The harder part is to prep the se card and setting the device. Check my transparent nac video where I set up the same device for an SE.
