Kudos to Pinarello on the styling. The looks are great. Only 252Wh and assist cutting out below 16mph isn't going to allow one to ride very far or fast. Good luck hanging with your mate on a club ride.
We may not like it but this is the future, motor assist bikes for the casual ride that look like normal bike and sexy, at 10k AUD it is a elite top end bike so may be a slow mover at first. But we will see more of this to come from other manufacturers
"...but this is the future". I thought the "future" was "Authoritarian Progressive" and that means no fun for anyone. This looks like too much fun. Hmmm... maybe the authoritarians lose?
Some funny comments on here LOL Great Vlog. I think this would make a great pacing tool. Your mates are never as fit as you so this would be good alternative to motor pacing up hills
Rixter No not at all. The main master switch can be reached with a single shorter click of the button. It just half ejects the battery. I just took it out to also show the size of the battery pack. Also it stays awake for 10hrs and can be turned off and on via the handlebar switch.
Cycling should be enjoyable, but no matter how you reword it, "uphill" is not. Some see it as "challenge & reward" (reaches the peak), others sees it "dangerous" if climb up speed only at 15 mph rider vs 60 mph road with tailgating cars from a chain in a single-carriage with double white line in between. So I have no issue with ebikes, considering "cycling should be enjoyable no matter whatever the kinds of roads you are in" (especially in a long ride). Pinarello Nytro seem to 'minimise' the uphill part and maintain all other aspect of road cycling the same. So kudos to them for trying on ebike on road. Should road bike only designed to be torturous for racing speed? or can other road bike be less harsh and more comfortable like the Specialized Roubaix?
flip inheck Bridge the shunt in the controller..can this be done with a safety pin/tin foil? Cops in my neck of the woods are pretty thick, cant spell their own names, so I'm not worried about a pull.
Do these bike manufacturers know what they are doing? Pinarello ought to have given the Nytro the Dogma FS's suspension. I think it is foolish to have an E-bike with a conventional road frame. A typical road bike frame needs to be deprecated for all E-bikes. All road bike E-bikes ought to step up to a gravel bike with a suspension based frame.
Don’t be fooled by the marketing. Ask the tough questions....if you have an issue with Pinarello bikes, you have NO saying to fight back when Pinarello doesn’t want to respond or deny a claim related to Warranty. That’s my experience. Happy until some cracks appeared. No crash, no accident, no fall, no scratches.....and Pinarello DENIED THE CLAIM ARBITRARILY.....CLINETS HAVE NO SAYING OR RECOURSE IF, LIKE ME, disagreed... DON’T WANT TO GET SCREWED BY PINARELLO, DON’T BUY ONE
