What a generous gift to the Iyengar community of practitioners! All yoga practitioners actually. Clarity, sequencing, alignment cues - thank you. As a practitioner with no access to an Iyengar studio w/in 200 miles these videos are priceless.
What an absolute joy to watch Lois give light to the teachings of BKS Iyengar! I may be several states away now, unable to get her excellent instruction directly even rarely these days, but this gift of the videos helps sustain me in my home sadhana! Many blessings to you and our entire yoga community!
is this advanced yoga? can I do a Head/ hand stand without upper body strength?? Ive been practicing alot and I cant shake the fear of falling over.or collapsing on my shoulders, I need confirmation that anyone can do it with the right techniques without the need of upper body strength.
My body used to collapse when I did this asana but since I extend and push my forearms hard to the floor, and lift my upper trunk and hips up to the ceiling, my body is not collapse anymore. 🙏😃 try it and hope it helps. Do it safe though, use the wall as the precaution. There is no asana worthy than your safety not even the advance one.
+Floating Lotus Yoga, NY See Patanjali's Yoga Sutras (BKS Iyengar commentary) chapter 1, sutra 22. In few weeks, we will also publish a video where Lois provide more explanations about Mrdu . Thanks for watching our videos.
