‘Pine Tree Love Poem’ starts from the work of pine tree from sculptor Lee Gil Rae
Pine tree is a tree that represents Korea. In the current of history, pine tree gives us the meaning of longevity, chastity, constancy, prosperity, right-minded, firm belief and shared our pain, sorrow, happiness, joy and so on. As such, we embodied the meaning of harmony with traditional song, ‘Taepyeongga’(Song of peace) longing for reign of peace, as a main melody with Korea’s symbolic pine tree as a main theme, together with work that is like a living organism that can represent the very nature.
The sound of Daegeum is a melody that makes you imagine the morning breeze signaling the reign of peace, Pansori that opens a morning. Together with the gorgeous Soprano following a blooming performance of Haegeum with the excitement of Jang-gu and Kkwaenggwari(Korean small gong), we introduce a performance longing for ‘Tae Pyung Seong Dae (Reign of Peace)’ with all the instruments and voices in one harmony.
