I graduated from high school and a month later this movie dropped. Every person I knew was going to the midnight showing of pineapple Xpress. Opening night you could hear beers opening and smell weed and cigarettes burning in the theater. Police were coming in and pulling people out all night. It was the most rambunctious experience at a movie theater of my entire life. The theater roared at every punchline and I was almost deaf when we left. I downloaded a scene on lime wire and add it on my 32 GB iPod that entire summer… RIP 2008

My dealer was Saul in many ways... Sat in a lounge just like that (he even had a similar coffee table) and we watched all sorts of crazy stuff on the internet together. That was 10 years ago and we live in different cities now but we still get together and laugh like mad over this, our favorite comedy film. I swear when This is the End was released, we watched it in that same room and 100 percent we nearly died of laughter that night. Thanks Seth.
I remember back in 2003 my buddy came back from Northern Cali with a cross of Northern Lights and White widow. Hands down, dopest dope I’ve ever smoked. One hit outta one of those little cigarette pipes and your lungs were filled with pins and needles. Instantly coughing out smoke. Minute or two later burping up smoke. High lasted 2-3 hours off one hit. Looked, smelled and tasted even better. Best thing I loved about it was it didn’t make my eyes red at all. And my eyes get redder than the devils dick off one hit of anything. My buddy had bought 2lbs of that fine ass cheebs. We sold half pound and smoked the rest. It took us almost 5 months to smoke the rest of the 1.5 lbs. That’s blazing one hit at a time, every day and staying lit as a Christmas tree the whole time. Btw, 2 hits was too much; it happened sometimes where we wouldn’t wait long enough in between hits and literally, eyes tearing, can’t talk cause you’re laughing so hard stoned AF. We weren’t amateurs either. We were POT HEADS. We would go all over west coast from NorCal up to Victoria, BC looking for great herbs. That was the best I’ve ever come across. But now, I’d have to say Banana Fire OG is pretty dope.
It’s moments like that made me so happy when weed became legalized . The dealers I had we’re nice but again it’s just you want to just buy and get going. Like a store. With dealers you have to be buddy buddy when you kinda just want to buy and leave
This movie made dealers look so lonely, like absolutely desperate to interact with a human for more than five minutes. Makes for a sympathetic character.
I remember having a very bad breakup with my ex gf around 2011. I had lost my job and I was poor and internet bill piled up until they cut it. For like 6 months i watched this movie on replay, just to smoke with them like they were my friends and have fun. As boring as it seems, i miss these moments.
Lmao I went to watch this at the Drive in theater with a buddy. Step brothers was the movie playing before this one. We smoked s bunch of blunts, made it about half way through and fell asleep. We woke up at like 4am in my buddy's van in an empty field wondering where the hell we were. Will never forget that shit
