react to more pinegrove!!! i have a list of recommendations (from a truly diehard fan): - rings (pallet session) - & (audiotree) - the npr tiny desk concert - Recycling (acoustic at stephens institute) - The metronome (Amperland, NY) all of the amperland set is very good and on youtube as a video - Morningtime (Amperland, NY) pretty much every live performance of them that exists is well worth the listen (from someone who has probably watched 99% of them) The best albums are skylight and marigold imo. 11:11 being their worst ALL the albums are worth listening to at some point. It's funny you jest about them forming when they were 5! the lead (evan) and the drummer (zach) basically did start playing music together at around that age.

One time ago a crazy dream came to me. Why a Mancunian estate dweller when the band is surely named after a luxury residential development? though I agree that the singer does look as if he has a second career nicking lead off roofs. I agree that getting your jigger out deserves more than a financial penalty. You never see actual bottlenecks these days (except at Capel Curig), but they're dead easy to make. (1) Buy a fifth of wine, chosen for the shape of the neck rather then the contents. (2) Drink the contents, to avoid waste. (3) Tie a piece of string around the base of the neck, soak it in industrial alcohol, and set light to it. (3) Tap the top sharply against the stoop to break the neck off at the new line of weakness. (4) Grind the rough edge down on the stoop. (5) If it fits over your 4th or 5th (or if you're Hound Dog Taylor, 6th) finger, play. If it doesn't, repeat steps (1)-(4).

Pinegrove are a bit of a mixed bag for me on the whole, but when they're good they're freaking GOOD!!
