I currently own the og Ping Kushin and the Ping Pal 2. They're nothing special but I like the old putters more than the newer ones

I agree with you 100% on the patina. Ping actually employed a tumbler finishing process to ensure a matt non glare finish, the deep patina is as they are meant to be. Each to their own but I do not understand those that polish them - also a hazardous process with manganese bronze and especially beryllium copper. Favourite of all time must be the Dalehead Anser which has influenced putter design ever since and must be the most copied head in history!

I bought at a flea market last week end a Gem Putter, the head is made of Tiger Eye Gem Stone…. Looks like it’s pretty vintage! Hope to see a video about this soon!

I would only have two putters on the list: #1: Anser 2, and #2: Anser. I bought an Anser new from Austad in the late 1970s, and I stupidly let it go in the early 2000s. I bought a used one of the same vintage this year for $20. I'll pick-up an Anser 2 eventually.

Ping have made some ground breaking putters as well as irons (the EYE 2 were so ahead but that's not for today) I have been lucky to try a Ping putter that is so cool everyone looks at what your are playing after hearing it (that's the clue) The Ping 1-A putter if that doesn't bring a smile to your face then nothing will.

My fav ping is the zing 5, but also like the B60 but in the end I leave the pings in the garage and mostly use a louisville golf long hickory putter that, i believe, i could sink a 350 yard putt from the parking lot even accross curbs.

I do have a few "vintage" Ping putters in my collection. I gamed a patented Ping Anser from the late 60's or early 70's I think. I sank a lot of par putts, few birdies and ONE eagle putt. It felt like winning a major, especially in the face of my English rival at the time. And to top it off, it had a bent neck which I didn't know it at the time. I'm currently using Odyssey putters and those old Pings feel like a feather now. Kinda miss those days...

not being a Ping fan (I've sunk any # of 20' putts w/my 1958 H&B Mars 70 putter, a pure old-style blade)....I love your choice of #1 - I have one & it's the closest putter to my putter. It has the same feel & I love the solid sound. (to fit into a bag...just put the curved section facing out)...if the ball goes into the hole, how can you call the DOC "useless" or "impractical"? As for MOI...you should try the Golfsmith "U.S.S. Enterprise putter (also known as NCC-1701)" designed by Jeff Sheets & accepted by USGA for tour/tournament play.....(the cover for it was called it's "Landing Dock" :-D ) That said the only Ping putters I have, besides the DOC17, are the Zero4, Anser (1 BeCu & 1 MbBr), Ball-Matic B67....don't know why I'm keeping them, I have some 13 or 15 other Ping putters up for sale. Fun Video, totally enjoyable....keep up the good work.

I love my Ping zing 2, but unfortunately I have the steel version with a 33” shaft. Want to switch to the manganese or the copper version with a longer shaft for the coolness factor. Also have the Anser but unfortunately steel also. Got it recently and really liked putting with it. Both clubs were $2 at Goodwill. May hav3 to go to Play it Again Sports and trade up.

how does everyone feel about the ping heppler putters? i really liked testing one at dicks, but that doesn't usually apply to the real greens

Really, the Zing or Anser should 1&2. Those anvils on a stick are just …..eww. The bag is full. Where’s the B60,B61,&B62?

I've just noticed that names/nicknames have now changed across the RU-vid system...it not only shows the "nickname" and has added under that "@(your actual name)(some number),,,,don't know what is going on...but it seems to have changed today....
