There are thousands of possibilities really for a new tank. The smaller the tank, the more difficult it is to hold all chemistry and temperature constant so I would try to find the hardiest species like leathers and mushrooms.

I typically love your care videos. And have used them as a general guide when deciding to add new corals. This video, however, i felt like it was lacking some info. The points that you made were good i was just looking for more. I was hoping that after watching your video on CA i would beable to make a decision about adding one to my tank. Unfortunaly, this video has left me with more questions than answers. I wish all of your videos were as indepth as some of your videos are. If nothing else it would be cool to do a quick "main points" video and then a longer fully detailed video on each coral. Anyway, food for thought. Still a fan!

Thanks what i appreciate the most about your video is the warnings, about keeping such a specimen. It puts in perspective the responsability that they are and the trounle that they can cause in a system, and the danger to its environment. So many don't say these things and you end up with a mess on your hands,and money down the drain , literally..... thanks again.

So is essentially the pink carpet anemone needs to be alone in the tank?

Your videos are among the best produced I've seen in the saltwater community. Thanks for putting in the extra effort, it really shows. I feed my carpet anemone a goldfish every couple days, does that seem about right to you?

I prevent tank overflow by plugging in the return pump into a ato device I reversed the float and the pump will go off as the water level rises

i just bought a pink carpet anemone! i've had my eye on that guy in the LFS for 4 weeks, and i told myself if it was still there today, i'd pick it up, it was, and i did i asked the LFS to keep it for me for another week while i do some scaping to make some room, as the guy looks to be about 2ft in diameter do you have any recommendations on substrate depth, and also whether it prefers to attach it's foot to rocks or the bottom glass?

My tank would not flood because there's enough space for water in the return pump compartment in sump to not flood my room. However, I don't want to break my return pump every time this happends and a species only tank is kinda annoying. :/

I don’t ever feed my yellow neon carpet by fish.. only palette shrimp or frozen shrimp. I don’t want to kill another fish to feed it
@tidalgardens
@tidalgardens 12 лет назад
Unlikely. The fish sounds like it was already sick and didn't acclimate well to your new tank.

I'm tempted to get one of these. Do you think that if you put several pieces of plastic or pvc sticking outward near the overflow that they would keep the anemone from being able to block it and keep the tank from being flooded? Thanks!!!

Why not leave these in the OCEAN as Habitat for Clown Fish if they are so Problematic in a Home aquarium? Did you Purchase your Pink Carpet anemone from a store- Or did you 'collect' this creature that you just "HAD to HAVE" from the sea? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gT2jeGcjPkU.html

Well, Tidal Gardens is in Ohio. So if you know your geography. It's nowhere near a reef. Your a little lost dude, the reefing hobby has had a decreasing impact on reefs with new technology and ways to propagate corals and such.
