A targeted donation would be great. That way one place would get a entire cookie instead of just crumbs. They would really be able to do something with what we donated. Love the idea.

I love the idea of helping people with our stashes. I used to give all my scraps to a charity that made quilts for foster children but my contact to them left the organization. I really need to find a new one or another contact to the group. Teaching inmates to sew is fantastic. I think everyone would be a lot happier and the world would be a better place if we all found a hobby we truly enjoyed. It's therapeutic and meditative.

Congrats to the new winner. Loved this box and it looked well worth the money and 3 spools of thread for $25 is a great value. I will definitely be checking out her site. I love the idea of us collaborating on a joint fabric stash mail in. Since I moved a few years ago I don't really have good organization to donate to and would love to send some fabric off to a good home. I would also love for us to maybe do a simple sew along that we made a quilt to donate to some cause. Today was a great day. Thanks for the happiness you are spreading.

was happy to see the puppy paw ! that box was great! does everyone that get the box get the same thing? that wallet would be great as a gift for so many gifts- thinking christmas with a gift card for like the dog groomer! oh webbing for an apron ( i know you think bags lol) , snakes with no heads are perfect … oh love your idea for groups. i am helping our church form a valor group. they need very easy patterns . i been looking for ones but maybe someone has some they used and they don’t need or panels or material they got maybe in a mystery pack that they would want to donate! i too have other fabrics i would donate. i know church groups are always doing mission projects and i love sending quality material pride all over the world- great idea holly!

I love using variegated thread. It leaves an interesting depth to the quilt. Also, this thread looks great on rope baskets which I have made a few. Mini charms make great craft bags. This is a great box. Quite a great deal for the price.

Fantastic box! I especially love the mini charms. I'm on a mission to collect them. I made three Y2K quilts back in the day. The one I kept is getting terribly worn from being loved so much. I'd like to remake it.

That was a lot of stuff in one box! Take note subscription box purveyors! 😏😁 My old quilt and knit group used to mention a group that you could make blankets for that donated them to children who had been through trauma, like a car accident or a family services emergency. I'll see if I can scout out more info you guys! Love the idea of using our stashes in a positive way! 👍

I belong to a quilt guild and are group gives are charity quilts to hospital for the babies in the NICU different quilt groups gives the quilt to the community and also to the women shelter.

Check with your local senior centers. That is what I have done. The really appreciated since limited fubds of many seniors in limited income to di projects.

I think prison program sounds great, I saw a documentary about a women's prison in Indiana that doesn't even have bras for the inmates and they have to rely on donations from manufacturers.

I sew pillowcases for seniors and we give them out at Christmas so if anyone wants to contribute , i would appreicate it greatly

QOV accepts fabric and we are trying to get over 1400 quilts done for requests.

Has Pink Door Fabrics discontinued the mystery boxes? I went to their website and couldn't find them.

I make fight mats and wheelchair blankets for the nursing homes that my daughter and sister in law work . So if you know anyone giving away fabric I need it.
