I’m surprised this video is still getting new people, I apologise that the video quality and filming is at a poor quality, The video is old and this is when I first started RU-vid, I had no idea what I was doing however, my new videos are 120% better, have a look, love you all ❤️
This is truly AMAZING to see. Thank you so much! I grew up in the Pink Floyd era and love their music. Thank goodness you guys made it out safely. Might want to consider a mask for safety from mold cause it can make you really ill.♥
1. There is a newspaper and You do not even look how old it is. 2. There is a modern TV flat screen box. How old it is? 3. You mainly show the floor, empty walls and ceilings. 4. Show more details next time.
@ agent black There's no electricity, or heating so it's not even possible to live there without fixing just those two things, and that alone will cost a few milion, not to mention the cost to renovate the entire mansion. And it looks old and has alot of wood work in it, so that must smell like a stinking old and damp church, and not to mention the risk of a fire with all that old and dry wood, so al together it's not worth saving it. Hell, even taking out al the dirt like fungus, mold, and dustmites would cost a fortune, because that's a job for alot of men in disposable white suits and masks. So i gues that torn the whole place down and built something smaller but better and new is waaaay cheaper than fix this dust bin.
look what I found for you..still kinda fast but the home b4 it was run down. Pink Floyd's millionaire mansion - before it was abandoned! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DH5JA6kp5ts.html
No matter what has happened, it is such a shame that nobody lives there, or sells the property, or donates it to The Historical Society, or something. These mansions are just too beautiful, and expensive to rot away, and get vandalized by crazies. There are too many homeless people as well, who wish they had a beautiful place to live.
@@susanstewart4184 By the time they were making mansion money, they were all married with children. I know quite a bit about PF and I never heard of them owning a mansion together. If you watch the DVD I mentioned, this looks like that. David owned a mansion and sold it quite a while ago, he gave the money to the homeless, but it looked different on the outside.
I love seeing the mansion, but you pan your camera way too fast, it just blurs the video and gives all of us vertigo. Please slow down. There is a great deal of mold in that place you should be wearing masks......Blessings
Ok I've got the whole parody written down, here it goes - We don't need no renovation we don't need no moss control no black mold cleaned out of the bathrooms inspectors leave this house alone Hey people leave this house alone all in all it's just another ruin on dry land and all in all it just keeps crumbling down to the ground 🎶🤘🎶🤘🎶🤘🎶🤘🎶🤘
Wow old Pink Floyd! The wall is still one of my old time favorite ❤ Thank you for sharing this really old school. I am one of your subscribers and can’t believe this just showed up in my feeds. Anyways love ya all!!
Your video would be more interesting if you didn't film the floor so much. There isn't anything interesting about dirty carpet. Hold your camera at eye level so we see what you see and don't pan the area so quickly. Every time it looked like we were going to see something interesting, you passed it by never to return.
This is such a beautiful home. Even if it's not abanonded why would someone neglect a beautiful home like this. Honestly, as much as I am against breaking and entering this house was definitely sitting there and for a long time. I am very glad someone saw it's beauty and has purchased it. Hopefully they can respect the home more than the previous owners.
To think there's soooo many places just like this that's been abandoned with pretty much everything still in it and where it was when the people left or died! There's whole town's like this!
this property was bought by David Gilmore I think his name is of Pink Floyd in 1980..it was built in 1580 supposedly and he had a recording studio in there that Tom Jones..Rod Stewart ...and many others recorded in including Pink Floyds 1987 album. Then in 1987 he sold it for 12 million to a record producer who did the video ..video killed the radio star...and the guy also managed the group Frankie goes to Hollywood. Then in 2007 he was out with his 14 yr old son shooting a pellet gun..well when he shot it it ricochet and hit his mother in the neck..She was rushed to the hospital with a pellet in her artery..she was put in a medical induced coma where she died in 2014 7 yrs after being shot. The property was abandoned by the son and husband right after it happened in 2007 and had been empty ever since.Thats why stuff is still in the place they just never went back because of what happenef
The Explorer Returns yeah, but shouldn't you be the one doing the research and giving us this information in the description?!? Otherwise people like myself would automatically assume that this isn't in fact Pink Floyd's abandoned home, rather some random mansion that you title as Pink Floyd's for clickbait views. Not trying to be a dick, just giving you an honest perspective from you audience's POV. Might wanna heed my warning if you plan mom growing your channel to anything substantial. Peace! ✌
Can’t hear what your saying because of the whispering, and the camera is making me feel sick. I will have to find an explorer who knows what he’s doing. The creepy music is way too loud.
the house is awesome. I love these types of houses. I would love to see a video from more of an eye level. I can vicariously walk through it and remodel it in my head as you're going.
The explorer doesn't care that he has a 20% thumbs down ratio. Even worse than that, he belittles his viewers. This is not only poor reasoning, it's the kind of thing that wipes businesses out every day. How many subscribers does he have? 707? In 10 months? So not only does he belittle viewers, he doesn't have the sense to see that 70 new viewers a month is abysmal performance for a YT channel. Dude, leave your pride at the front door and listen to the comments. We love vids like these, and you visit cool places. Just take a few hints along the way and make things better for everyone. Then watch your subscription rate climb!
Can’t wait for the updated version. Your moving so fast it made me dizzy 🥺 Please do another one and move around a lot slower. There was stuff I would have loved a closer look at! Thanks for the video anyways!
Why are you looking at the floor so much, you need to keep the camera straight in front of you...we cant really see the rooms upstairs...your making me dizzy....
This video LOOKS like it was shot by some old moron with an 8 mm camera and NO IDEA how to film anything including himself in a mirror; too fast, too jerky, too much floor and steps. NO connection from room to room/scene to scene. I guess I 'll skip any future garbage by this moron.
Could have been an interesting house.......but instead it was an interesting video of carpets, dirty floors, & dizzying camera sweeps! Talk louder - give interesting commentary of the surroundings. Stop swinging the camera around so fast - slowly sweep the whole room, then focus on a few unique features of the room - furniture, paintings, anything but the floor. And, PLEASE, don’t use that old, worn out creepy music. Soft background music that doesn’t interfere with your comments would make it better. Thanks for trying. Please, accept these comments as an opportunity to improve. I’m not trying to be mean or ugly, just offering my suggestions. Keep on exploring!
Well sorry my love im quite dizzy from the camera being swung round to fast we the peple watching will never go there to this wonderful house so you are our eyes and ears slow down lets see dates lets hear your voice show us what the owers would have seen while looking out their windows
Quite frankly, I think he deserved a sound flogging! My 10-year-old granddaughter would have done a better job. Now I'm seasick. What's with the horror flick music? Thumbs down for sure.
most I saw was the floor it would be nice if you showed eye level of what your seeing and for crying out loud stop spinning so fast when there is something to see im dizzy
I agree with the others on the sound and especially the camera work but your other stuff looks interesting, so it's worth a look. Hopefully things have improved since then. :)
Dearest Explorer: If you are going to take your time doing this type of film work, you FIRST need to take some videography lessons from an expert. You move to quickly with the camera and the effect is largely lost for the viewer. You need to add verbal explanations to enable the viewer to know more about the buildings. In this video since you can be heard off camera whispering, I take it to mean you are trespassing and do not wish to be heard/caught.
Try exploring the building first to get your thrill over with. Then by all means go back or continue back so your viewers can experience the pleasure. We saw very little except carpet and floor!
What should have been a really good video turned out really bad. Take the advice above and get some basic camera skills training. Lots of videos on the market that can help.
The Explorer Returns Could've been worse? Not really, I was interested in watching this but you moved the camera so damn fast it made me nauseated. Ridiculous
The Explorer Returns - I agree with some of the other comments. Slow down and turn your volume up if you are going to whisper. It would have really been interesting to see the name and the year of the magazine, plus what the page was opened to. Maybe you will go back? It's a shame when these types of places go derelict, when they are not used except for a tax right off.
So at 1:33 it looks like you both are hiding from someone. And then when you make it in there are Samsung tv boxes there. and cleaning supplies lay out on the floor as if in use in the one room. Abandoned... I don't think this word means what you think it means sir.
I had to give you a thumbs down. I' ve never done that before. You whispered throughout the video and I couldn't even hear you with the sound turned up.
I nearly got seasick watching this get a steady cam with a proper micI would say there is plenty of hidden rooms in that house go back and take your time exploring itthanks
Yes you are in the infant stages of your film making . It's still a fun tour. You did capture "the scared to be here but this is cool moments " I love the moment .yes Uma gumma. Before your time.. thanks 🐟
Nice floor shots, i now know what the carpet looked like throughout the place. You already know from the comments that u panned too fast, some rooms u went back into several times; i was hoping to get a better look @ some stuff u missed but, u totally glossed over them time and again. It was ok @ best u need to just SLOW down and scan the rooms more closely is all.
Pinky Ackerman totally agree with u. All I saw was the dhm carpets & flooring & I only heard him freting about a man in the courtyard....or well I guess he's an amiture in exploring😂😂
Nikita Wood exactly he's going on about the van and stuff but in his description he says he does not force entry which he probably had permission to go in. It was all floor shots anyway. Then he says he won't say the location which is OK cuz u can just go google it and ur good lol one day he'll get better I hope
IT WILL BE, REMOVE THIS COMMENT, MOST PPL DON'T KNOW ABOUT THAT IN THAT PART OF THE WORLD, PLEASE, IT'D BE A HORRIBLE SHAME TO SEE SOME PIECE OF MAGGOT SHIT, TO DRIVE IN THERE IN MID NIGHT, AND RIP OUT NOT JUST THE TAPS, BUT THE BUT ALL THE COPPER PIPING IN THE WALLS, THEY JUST FIND THE SOURCE, AND PULL, LEVAING THE WALL DESICRATED.... PLEASE, I AGREE WITH YOUR COMMENT, AND MYSELF WAS GONNA SAY SOMETHING, BUT DECIDED AGAINST IT, FOR FEAR OF THAT HAPPENING.... I LIVE IN A 270(AT LEAST)TOWN, AND WE'VE GOT A MAIN STREET THAT ALTHOUGH IT HAS HAD WORK DONE, IT'S ALONT THE "CABOT TRAIL". THE FIRST HUDSONS BAY COMPANY SITS AT THE BOTTOM OF MY STREET, AND I'D FREAK IF THEY TORE THOSE BUILDINGS DOWN....SOME OWNERS ARE LEAVING THEIR BUILDINGS TO FALL TO DISREPAIR, WHICH WILL EVENTUALLY LEAD TO THE DESTRUCTION OF AT LEAST FORTY 250+YEAR OLD BUILDINGS... ACTUALLY WE HAD A WALL COLLAPSE JUST OVERNIGHT MONDAY... THE LANDLORD ESSENTIALLY HAD THE SAMETHING HAPPEN AND JUST DID A TEMP JOB ON IT, WHILE LEAVING IT IN DANGEROUS DISREPAIR ON THE SIDE..... IT IS NOTABLY FOR SALE, HE'S HOPING TO UNLOAD IT ON SOME SUCKER LIKE ME /FROM THIS AREA, MY HOMESTEAD IS HERE, AND IF I HAD THE MONEY, ID BUY IT.... O WELL.... THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR NOT PUTTING IDEAS INTO PEOPLES' HEADS, IT'S NOT JUST TEENS, IT'S FULL GROWWN ADULTS WHO COULD NOT GIVE LESS OF A SHIT, MONEY.ONE DAY THEY MAY NOTICE YOU CANNOT EAT MONEY......THAN WHAT????
The lady above doesn't truly get her point across I'm afraid. The mistake she is making is the assumption that meth-heads the world over have failed to realize the value of items for use in the drug trade. A tweeker does not hang around YT awaiting word as to what is valuable for that purpose. From her post, she is a bit scattered as well. Alas......However, the original comment was hysterical and sad. Yet, we can all hope that evolution keeps rockin' along. Cheers!
I’m going to make another video using this footage and use the parts that please everyone with looking at floors and missing things, that will be changed don’t worry
I would have loved to seen where that staircase at 9:20 went. would have loved to have seen most of the house. But was totally in love with the blue bathroom
I agree with above criticisms. Sound crappy and couldn't see the rooms clearly because you were whirling the camera around so fast. Would love to explore this house again with someone who knows how to film shooting.
Crazy to see a house that huge that most people will never be able to afford and there are people living on the street just sitting there abandoned falling apart.
@Madison Wadsworth $1500?? A Black Magic 4K is only $1200 and anyone can shoot good 4K on a $500-$1000 budget. There's also nothing wrong with using a GoPro, if you know what you're doing. I don't need to be a cop to know shitty driving when I see it, so I don't need to be a content producer to know bad footage when I see it. There's also no real description of the video and it's not "Pink Floyd's Abandoned Mansion", it's simply an abandoned mansion that was once owned by David Gilmour.
I really wanted to see what was up that crazy staircase, I know you guys were nervous so not a bad job considering. I agree that you should focus on some of the smaller details too such as the magazine, etc. but I imagine you didn’t have much time. Above all, thank you for your respect while filming this awesome place.
That picture in the dining area, leaned on the fireplace; i have that same print in my livingroom! Cool, it's a Renoir and it's called "Luncheon of the boating Party". Only mine is quite bigger LOL.
I would have enjoyed this if it weren't for the lousy videography and the fact that I couldn't hear what you were saying. Maybe a do over is in order, it looks like a cool place but I can't hang in until the end, the camera is moving too quickly.
Hook End Manor,, owned by David Gilmour bought 1980- sold 1986. Hardly Pink Floyd's abandoned Mansion. Not abandoned by Pink Floyd but next owner , so your not looking at stuff left behind by Pink Floyd as is implied . Interesting history.. The recording studio separate from the house. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hookend_Recording_Studios
Very nice. Please if you would kindly move the camera much slower when showing us things and when portraying the room from side to side, because the camera shows it faster than we can comprehend. Also when walking, try holding the camera straight out in front so we dont just see the floor. Also, if you could comment about each room and investigate each object and area by telling us about it in a way that is louder so we can hear you that would make the video much better. When you are whispering we cant hear what you are saying. Thank you though for the nice video. :)
Omg slow down. This WOULD of been one of the BEST houses to see.. but camera was spinning around so fast couldn't see nothing. And I couldn't hear ANYTHING he said. Total bummer.! 6:30 that's gonna drive me crazy not knowing what was in that locked closet.
Just a suggestion, but watch the channels that have a lot of subs and you will notice they usually give a history of the property, do steady camera work, and speak in a tonal volume that is easy to understand. This was an interesting subject to use, but this home has a sad and tragic history. If you had researched it you would know this before trespassing in it.
WARNING - Please don't go to this house, it's now in use again and I don't want people living there getting people turning up. The house was abandoned when I went but now has people living inside. So please don't go.
The Explorer Returns I noticed a decent amount of black mold n the such, do you wear any protective equipment such as a mask or anything? That stuff can be deadly.
