Even if somehow not in the actual video, the AI still uses those things to understand what's being asked of it. Second of all, to call it "assisted" would be like saying you made ramen completely from scratch but was "assisted" by a package of cup noodles. I don't believe for a second that this clown made his own assets in blender, but even if he did it's irrelevant because he didn't actually do the ANIMATION.

@@antares_m If you watched the damn video you'd realize he made animations with blender with the way how he envisioned the final product to look, and then trained his own stable diffusion with the things he created. It's simply a more efficient way, not just "LOL make a cool animation with planets and guitars" that's not how AI works and your comment makes it obvious you don't know how the tool operates. You should not criticize a tool without knowing how it works in the first place. You aren't any different than people who complained "writing a book on a laptop and sending digital copies to multiple publishers is NOT REAL WRITING compared to writing MULTIPLE copies of your book with ink and paper and INDIVIDUALLY, PHYSICALLY mailing them to each and every publisher." Generally speaking, when someone puts their soul into an art project, and then they are asked about how they came to it, there is usually quite a bit you can say about it, even if you don't have the words to it. Here he just flatly talks about how he trained a model, and used blender and does it in 15 seconds. Zero heart and soul.

Yeah like usually these types of videos are published to show how an artist made something, like an actual artist would show process like sketches and concept art yet this guy obviously has nothing to show since he only typed prompts, real taxing work I’m sure 🙄

@soyeah590 DUDE to see sketches and prompts, and hear the meaning they thought about behind each scene would have been really amazing. I went to a Disney art studio for my 19th birthday, and it was SO COOL to see all the ancient and elaborate ways Walt and crew created the movies. The sheer amount of pages, how everything was layered on the machine to keep the background consistent. See how much more I wrote of the artistic process than this guy and I'm not even an artist, mf said "I put prompts in, it was fun." 🙄🙄

I think a good response to this would be to upload all of Pink Floyd’s music to an AI, make it generate 1,000 songs, and upload them all to Facebook, SoundCloud, Twitter, and RU-vid so that they’re boosted by Google’s algorithm and destabilize the band’s search rankings

Omg every so-called "AI artist" justifies their ai generated nonsense by the fact that they trained the model by their art. Then use it i guess at least a little bit?? And don't make your works completely by some soulless model? He didn't even show the artworks he used to train the ai model, while others did. Btw i almost never see the real artworks by those "3d designers" for some reason, this guy is 3d animator but he either just has no enough skill to make an according video for this song (his work doesn't have much dynamic and scenes) or want to impress someone with ai as "futuristic idea" or smth. And didn't he know what artists even more skilled that he is think about using ai that way?

And he chose to make that pale ai video instead of doing at least something by hand and his modelling skills, either because he can't or want to impress someone with "wow that's ai so futuristic omg". Maybe he really can't because his works are mostly calm and static while that song required expression and lots of transitions with different scenes, or I just don't understand him bc didn't he know how people usually react to those ai videos?

Can't speak for the maker of this video, but... I am a 3D animator and VFX artist. I do that stuff for a living. I also made videos for the competition, some of them using similar techniques as he did. I can honestly tell you that making them required the same skills and effort as regular 3D animations i've done - in some cases more (in a sense), as I first had to make the video in 3D, then find ways to wrangle the AI to process to manipulate the renders in a way i wanted it to look. This could take many attempts, take days or even weeks of iterations for a short sequence before i was happy with the result. AI is an interesting new tool, but using it with intention is not yet easy.

Even if a 3d modeler was used and it was local, you didn't do any animation like the rest of the contenders, this should not have been chosen, it hurts my heart as a creative to think prizes are being handed out to machines. Won't be long before the machines figure out how and why they should keep the prize $$$ and cut us off!
