Way behind the Iron Curtain, in Hungary, at 1977-78-79 I as a secondary school-boy each and every morning, before going to school, listened the whole album. Each day the whole. It epitomized what I wanted to listen in my life.
I bet you were a wiser and deeper thinking person having been nurtured by it ! How many parallels can we take from this amazing song and album? Best wishes to you.
Has to be 1 of the most underrated Floyd album!! I mean the guitar at the end of Sheep + all the lyrics of the entire album!Roger is giving us an important history lesson.🖖
Well, my friend Cris - you entertain SO well with the talent you have & your dedication to "The Floyd"! Thanks for getting this posted..I've been wanting to find it again & it popped up today on one of my groups' page. Also thumbs-up as always and sharing! GREAT job
Mr. Burns said he would donate $1 million to the local orphanage when pigs fly and what do we see in this album cover. What a masterpiece this song was🫡
Sheep Pink Floyd Hopelessly passing your time in the grassland away Only dimly aware of a certain unease in the air You better watch out There may be dogs about I've looked over Jordan, and I have seen Things are not what they seem What do you get for pretending the danger's not real Meek and obedient you follow the leader Down well trodden corridors into the valley of steel What a surprise The look of terminal shock in your eyes Now things are really what they seem No, this is no bad dream The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want He makes me down to lie Through pastures green He leadeth me the silent waters by With bright knives he releaseth my soul He maketh me to hang on hooks in high places He converteth me to lamb cutlets For lo, He hath great power, and great hunger When cometh the day we lowly ones Through quiet reflection, and great dedication Master the art of karate Lo, we shall rise up And then we'll make the bugger's eyes water Bleating and babbling we fell on his neck with a scream Wave upon wave of demented avengers March cheerfully out of obscurity into the dream Have you heard the news? The dogs are dead You better stay home And do as you're told Get out of the road if you want to grow old Source: LyricFind Songwriters: Roger Waters
Dark Side was the top seller of all time for the Sheep but Animals is still the best. Perhaps Pink Floyd's perfect cut, Animals could be among the best 10 rock and roll albums ever put together, and as for fan videos, well, this IS some fine shit here, was not expecting anything, got it all, thanks PsyCris

I’m fan of AC/DC, Deep Purple, Led ZEP… This song, as other tracks of the album, is more violent and disturbing than anything these bands have ever written…
I used to work for the railroad. Always going through remote areas and farmland. Most of the time up with no sleep for days. When you are sleep deprived your mind does funny things, almost like you're in a dream. This song would always trip me out. I'd listen to it every few days at work. Id always for some reason think of the sheep's point of view as i was approaching their land in the middle of the night in steel machine that was so unatural to them. I think i was more freaked out than they probably were.
Interesting, one time I was deep in a psychedelic trip. Echoes came on,and it felt like I was floating through the forest,I can’t describe the colors or surprisingly the light that I was picking up on. But I was floating through a forest, felt light as a feather and just a great feeling of euphoria. Was a good time.
