Crazy how good they are! Linda Ronstadt said that true rock and roll musicians sleep with their guitar's. I believe these musicians are that dedicated at such a young age. Their Amazing!
Loving this to pieces. My own 24 year old son, is also a big Pink Floyd fan. Probably have something to do with me.. When i see these kids I have High Hopes (get it??) for rockmusic. Me??? 55 and have always being sipping the sweet nectar of Pink Floyd. Thats the thing. You are never to young for Pink Floyd and you will never get to old.
There's a quote from a movie,.don't know if it started in the movie or real life,(sometimes art imitates life and vice versa), but its "I weep for this generation ", think thats how it goes, a commentary on young people at the time, but let me tell you,.when I see performances like this,.....I say, weep no more, they're fine, maybe we all left enough of a legacy that will ground them, cause it seems they're just like we were, some of us kept our wits about us, some of us didn't, gonna be the same for them. It will no doubt be enough of them who keep their wits about them. There in lies the HOPE, ......stay tuned,.....Peace, and long life ✌
@Rob Pemberton Is it?😁, thanks, decades of music and movies in my head, can't remember some of where these quotes came from, some stand out like the one in AVP,, "why are you bringing a gun to an archeological dig,? I'd rather have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it", I have never forgotten that one, quite good, quite right. try to remember it when I feel like leaving my phone in the car cause I'm just stepping away for a few min, you never know.🤔.God Speed, Peace ✌
An incredible interpretation of Floyd, especially when you realize that this particular group of SOR performers look to be barely into their teens, at most!
i remember falling into a THC alcohol and mushroom coma listening to this on a phonograph that repeated until you got up/crawled to lift the needle and place it on the cradle.
It's a US based company, but they have opened locations in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Mexico, Peru, Philippines & South Africa. It would be amazing to see them open locations in the UK.
I started watching School of Rock videos quite recently and they are awesome. Is that young woman with the glasses playing an organ? What a great, eerie sound. It is so good to see these young people playing real music on real instruments. I am now 75 years old and I saw many of these acts live. It makes me happy to see young people doing this. I hope these kids are successful so other young kids can hear and appreciate real music. Keep up the good work.
These kids start playing music on stage as young as 8, and have to leave the program when they're 18. This program provides the things a young aspiring musician most needs - dedicated teachers, a time and place to practice, and other young musicians to practice with. If you don't tell kids what they *can't* do, they'll never figure it out. Nobody told them that they can't play some of David Gilmour's most complex guitar work.
The band's tribute to co-founder Syd Barrett, who left because of mental health issues. Pink Floyd made sure Syd, who retreated to village life in Cambridge, got his royalty checks. He died at age 60 in 2006.
I´ll hope everybody know´s ; That are kid´s!!!! take a look at the drummer, he doe´s his job very good, so also the keyboarder´s. I like it, and thank´s to all guy´s make classic rock of finest!
Who knew Armando Carlo would be playing drums and singing the lead on In The Air Tonight by Phil Collins! His hair is much longer and he is wearing glasses!
Mad props to the guitarist with the yellow guitar. He nailed Gilmour's solo parts incredibly well. Question: Is he playing a Stratocaster or a Telecaster?
Several of these young musicians won places in the School of Rock _AllStars_ program, the very best from more than 300 locations in the US and several other countries. At least a few of them went to highly respected music schools like Berklee.
