I love this comment I can’t really relate both my grandpas died last year and they were different nationalities but my English one I knew for a fact he loved English bands as such the cure Pink Floyd David Bowie bob dylan the hole bunch and since his death that was a day before my birthday I always listen only to those bands as a way to remember him one more time the most I listen to them the more close I get to him love you grandpa
I just recently got turned on to Pink Floyd. And I am kind of speechless. This music is from another realm. It speaks to me, it makes me emotional, it’s so different and beautiful.

Great tracks obviously .... If only whoever converted this to 8D had the skills to do something interesting with it other than just planning from side to side !! Why not arrange the instruments like you're actually surrounded by them (and didn't have them running backwards and forwards around you) it might be a decent experience!!
I have this album in SQ quadrophonic mix version on vinyl that vas released in 1973 side by side with stereo version and it does just that but in the right way,separated instruments and vocals "traveling around your head "and it can be expirienced even in normal stereo mode but for the " full potential " a dedicated quadrophonic reciver/decoder is needed and the one is rare and expensive so this kind of mixing music belived or not -is nothing new ( ok,while some modern tech music does do the wow efect in this 8D ,this track simply is not that case)

I remember vividly the first time I heard this album. We are talking about the system in the living room that was a piece of furniture..avocado green. My cuz In came in and dropped the needle on this masterpiece. Still gives me chills.
For anyone of you that doesn't have ears: This 8D "cool for the first two minutes of listening effect" is basically a left to right channel swing with some pitch alterations. The result? Up to your own taste to define.
TOTALLY AGREE👍 As I listen to this , I can literally feel my eyes swing from left to right. But I've found that any video that says: 4D, 8D, 32D etc they're all just left to right.
@@electrablue4220 have you guys heard Billie Eilish's - ilomilo in 8D by Pentatonix, best I've heard yet, you may wanna give it a listen, not only left and right, but depth as well, pretty trippy.
Because many of these songs were not recorded for 8D they were remastered. If you listen to anything recorded specifically for 8D you will have a different experience.
This gives me shivers the whole way through, but one thing from a musical point of view, on certain hit points in the song maybe hold off panning from the centre for another second so you get that extra boom of feeling when something is on the beat & centred :) Other than that, it is AMAZIIINNNNGGG!!!!!
Thanks, my Pink Floyd 1987 concert experience (minus the blotter acid) has now been reenacted in 2021. Using dual drivers headphones with 8D is ethereal mind candy. 🤗😁
This. The best introduction to an album I've ever heard, never fails to make me emotional, especially when it gets go the great gig in the sky. This is a timeless masterpiece, and hearing it in 8d bring it to life even more.

I am listening in quarantine as well to this masterpiece in 8D ...this sound is perfect for Pink Floyd. The orbiting audio is a good fit for this album, which has truly been a favorite all my life. Wish I had a joint right now🧠💓
O efeito que senti é o mesmo de "Voyage to center of the earth" de Rick Wakeman, que na década de 1970 tinha a nome comercial de quadrofonia, um efeito stéreo (bass + trebble) dividido em canais mid range (meio baixo e meio agudo). O som espacial surgiu com o surround sound, infra bass, subwoofer, home theater, dolby, superdolby, mas na minha modesta opinião, fones de ouvido fazem exatamente o oposto da espacialização ou dimensionalização do som pois restringem a experiência direcional e a amplitude além dos timbres. Orquestras Sinfônicas e Filarmônicas conseguem dar esse prazer.

8D means passing in three seconds from right ear to left and back over and over again with echo? I feel like I did'n get the ticket for a PF concert and I must hear it from outside the stadium.
Honestly, The Beatles 8D mixes from Abbey Road are better because there's more separation and you hear different instruments all over the place. This just takes the entire mix and moves it left to right, back and forth. Check out The Beatles. MUCH Better.
Since this is from DSOTM, I will use this comparison... Remember way back, when colorized versions of black and white movies came out? Although it provided a new experience to watch in that way, it was the original B&W versions thay stood the test of time. Listening to this is like if someone decided to colorize the black and white parts of Wizard of Oz. A new experience for sure, but what is the actual point? If you want DSOTM in surround, get the SACD version. Otherwise, it was perfect exactly like it was originally intended. If you need another Pink Floyd reference, check out the Mono version of Piper At The Gates of Dawn. There is a whole different dimension to be heard in the Mono version that somehow gets lost in the more well known stereo version. I recommend a nice set of speakers instead of headphones though to really understand where I'm coming from.
This version in this 8D audio made me weep. I literally have tears streaming from my god damn eyes. Let me explain, these songs are deep and powerful in the original media. Now the added surround. It’s a bit much, but I enjoy the shit out it. Thank you for the experience. The way Pink Floyd should be heard.
