The answer is definitively no. The HTML6 RU-vid uses doesn't support surround sound. Hence why Smart TVs and consoles can stream Netflix with 5.1 but PC can't.

@@JZStudiosonline You should clarify that PC CAN but at the moment RU-vid 's algorithm encoding does not.. I've been doing surround for years..dts. ..dolby ...ACC, DVD-Audio.

@@robertblackton2295 Pretty sure it's still the case that YT doesn't support 5.1. Anywhere, as far as I'm aware. There's certain audio formats that can be played over browser, but not all. Thus for something like Plex I still need the dedicated app.
