Roger’s voice is terrible/awful. He ruined the song. I wish I could hear it with Gilmour’s leading singing. His voice is magnetic. Roger squeal’s like a pig in the most of his singing.
My mom saw them play at Cleveland Municipal Stadium for this tour the year before I was born. She said a jet airplane flew kind of low over the stadium and as everyone was watching it fade into the distance out comes the Boys onto the stage and everyone turned back around from watching the jet to hearing glorious epic Floyd. If there's a heaven i want to experience all of these shows for eternity.
I have often wondered why Gilmour always looks, "pissed off"? I have rarely, if ever, seen him smile for more than a moment. One would suppose it is because Roger's lyrics, "bums him out".
1 man, 1 vision. Conjured up the name, created their sound, walked away into obscurity and still influenced their musical journey. Syd was the catalyst and major reason why The Pink Floyd Sound manifested into existence. 4 men paying homage to their lost brother, sad. If Syd kept it together we would lose out on future masterpieces. Unfortunately, he went off the rails, payed his price and the other 4 created this as a memorial to our fallen genius. Syd is still inspiring, check out Dave's new single. Coincidence? Think not. Hopefully the dolly rocker concurs in the cosmos. Totally appreciate their craft. They have inspired millions for decades. 5 unique talents, who complety made true art, not just music. Great recording btw. Glad I saw them during The Division Bell tour, amazing. Sorry Rog, they were still a force of nature without your presence & blessing. Not the same but damn, still better than 99% of music out there. Rog had the grandiose, universal lyrics but lacked the musical chops. Dave, Nick and Rick pulled off 2 (3, if you count The Endless River) amazing albums. Amused to Death was a great premise and had some killer songs. Also remember, Radio Chaos and The Pros and Cons of Hitching. Also had good themes and some great songs. He could never capture or encapsulate the magic of all 4 together. Damn shame. Live 8 was a great reunion but knew in my heart they all couldn't bury the hatchet. Not bitching at all. Grateful for all they produced together and their solo works. Dave's new single is tight and another nod to Syd. Jolly good.
To na pewno Pink Floyd a nie jakiś garażowy cover? Straszne błędy. I to drewniane , sękate technicznie solo gitarowe. Klawiszowiec też coś tam próbuje, ale sam nie wie co.
What would all the bricks be doing in Yet Another Movies Empty Beds ? - The mortice that binds is grey, and every brick is a box with a letter on it, and a note in it saying,, ' press my buttons '.
17+ minutes of one of the best rock bands ever at their live best!! And if David Gilmore is not in your top 5 guitarists you either were not listening or you don't know brilliance when you hear it!
That was on point. Animals deserves a revival like DSOTM and The Wall.. bleak cityscape and it almost rewrites itself given the state of the world and how much changed in the past 50 years since this was released. OMG I'm old!! 54 and genx strong
Simply the best song ever. And what a FANTASTIC rendition... they were much better live. Creativity and raw power = Pink Floyd. Animals is a TRUE masterpiece overshadowed by DSOTM and The Wall... (which are great too, but Animals for me is the peak of the band)
One of the most beautiful solos David Gilmour has played in his career is in this piece. Although Roger Waters gave the song a lot of justice in his solo career, it is a sad point that David did not give the same value. I wish we could listen to Dogs on David's guitar. I think this will always remain a regret in my mind. In my opinion, the best live performance of the song is this concert where David plays an incredible solo.
