Aye everyone keeps saying the 808 is out of tune fuck them.the way the 808 sound is literally the best thing bout this beat.fuck those who say its out of tune
@@kayzay4852 bro even the fixed version doesnt sound better than this one. coz the fixed one was not made from the producers soul.it was made coz of judgement from the comments.this one has something man even though i cant tell wat is it🔥🔥🔥
If u can't hear it's out of key idk what to tell you, u don't need to be a musical genius to hear it. Also blues isn't offkey at all, in fact, blues usually operates using only the minor pentatonic so no notes are ever out of key
Same, it's not even out of tune in a bad way, it's working in harmonics not exact octaves. I probably have the terminology wrong but I'm usually the one to notice out of tune stuff but this didn't even bother me at all lol
Clearly no one here is appreciating the polytonality of the bass against the sample. In true jazz fashion, we are experincing some unusual theoretical techniques, but now presented through the lens of drill.
Yo, (as an underground fan this is hard to type) Pink P in the joint, ha, ya roll me up one bro... Let's get it... I sell the packs to the local cats, tapping a bitch's ass, shooting everybody, you ain't last, shooting the masses, miss all my classes, breaking your stupid fucking sunglasses, see what happens, when they spin the needle on the plastic, (vinyl record) Rate it on a scale of one to ten, ten being the best
@@watermelonbanana1772 808 refers to a roland 808, a drum machine (synthisizer that only makes drum sounds) from the 80's that became popular in making hiphop/edm. for technology relating to music at the time of its release, it was ahead of its time. the sounds are still largely used today by many producers both large and small. usually when artists refer to an '808' they are usually referring to an '808 kickdrum' which is has a classic deep bass signature sound.
I agree. It's the rhythm of the sample I'm more affected by. The detuned 808 kinda represents when Grime was just getting started, and produces started off with simple technology, like that PS1 beat making game as used by Benga.
@@kazkaz756 nah I mean drums are percussion so it doesn’t really matter but you can fuck with the pitch just to see what sounds better for a certain song
@@pryt0n180 the 808 is the deep bass you hear almost behind the beat. The issue is the 808 isn’t in the right key for the instrumental so it almost kills the overall vibe of the track. Most people won’t notice it consciously but subconsciously people would enjoy this better if it was tuned correctly
i personally love out of tune 808's, make the tune sound way darker, the slides are sticking out a bit but i almost prefer this one to the one with the tuned one
