Karamo is the epitomé of self-righteous. He’ll try to make defending a product over a consumer somehow a left-wing argument as if it’s not the opposite of being left-wing to not protect consumers. He also has a history of domestic abuse, so him defending pink sauce lady is right up his usual behavior
She definitely overestimated how successful the product was going to be and over spent. Every time I have gone to walmart that sauce has been fully stocked and never touched. Plus the company came out and denied all of her claims. I don’t want her to be homeless or for her kids to suffer but she definitely needs to take some responsibility on her end. She has lied continuously about many things so I don’t blame people for not trusting her.
I rather her kids not be homeless either, but it seems she was the author of her misfortune... and is going to hell's length to not come to terms about that.
my bet is definitely she just didn’t get as much money as she expected and probably went spending more than usual, thinking that she’d make it all back
The most logical explanation I can think of is that she over estimated the amount of money the sauce would bring in, and in return significantly overspent and lost all of her money due to poor financial choices
she lied bro, if her a$$hole personality wasn't enough of a telltale sign, then her tiktok will immediately expose her. literally a month ago she admitted she got plastic surgery and sold 200k bottles.
“Chef” P has proven herself at every turn to be a defensive, manipulative narcissist. She does not deserve $100,000 from anyone let alone one of the people she tried to poison. She calls herself a chef and she would be so bold as to ship a highly perishable food item through improper means of distribution. She cooked up this fate on her own.
They were initially selling bottles of these at my Walmart for $8. They had to be marked down to a quarter a bottle for it to sell at all. A 97% markdown which is practically unheard of.
I don't think this is actually karma, it was more like the internet decided they didn't liked the person and jumped in to destroy her. Go check how to cook that, they have a pretty neutral take on this whole "saga"
@@omi6816 as much as I love Ann Reardon and agree with her take on the product itself, the person behind the product is the problem. Chef P has made herself out to be an entitled brat who took her sudden fame for granted, and tried to deflect blame when she didn't ship her own food items properly, and therefore putting her paying customers at risk (maybe not from botulism specifically, but spoiled peoducts can still make you sick) And yet, she still thinks she deserves thousands for a product that, in all honesty, nobody cares about anymore. She chose not to get another job when the Pink Sauce money dried up. She chose not to take any responsibility for the mishandling of the controversy after the initial shipment. She chose to believe that her customers are not important to her, and said as such to one said customer's face on television.
She had 10k in the bank, Daves bought her out, she quit whatever job she had under the assumption this was her key to get rich, spent the time paying her rent and car note, and just ran out of money. Daves didn't take anything, she just assumed she was guaranteed her 6-figure paycheck because her product was on the shelves, and lived as though she was guaranteed a flow of money in the near future.
She has always and will always ignore anybody that tries to give her advice and any criticism is "hate us cos they ain't us" and never her fault because she is simultaenously black (victimhood mentality) and a woman (overestimated feminism) which is basically the Konami code to killing good ventures.
@@aweeb6068 She displayed both traits in her interview, she is a very controversial individual. Controversial invidiuals with great products typically excel. Controversial individuals selling pink custard, not so much.
Is this sarcasm? Statistically, aren’t black women the most highly educated group in the US? Obviously not this pink sauce woman, but if we want to paint with broad brushes… the combo of being black and a woman isn’t really the thing that makes this pink sauce woman an embarrassing failure.
Gotta love how her first reflex after losing her job and having no income for her kids is to create a Gofundme instead of taking a job I guess "I'd do anything for my kids" does not extend to taking a factory job you don't want to do, good useful human being.
I had literally never heard of this sauce or Chef P, but found at least 100 bottles of pink sauce at my local Walmart on clearance for $1. I bought one against my partner's advice, believing that even if it was bad, I was only wasting $1. After taking a single taste of that sauce I feel as though I have experienced the entire backlog of human suffering, I have been in the grips of a miasma of dread and despair ever since. I would have been better off using that $1 as tinder to set myself ablaze rather than suffer such a cruel fate as to consume that pink nightmare. It is no doubt that I am now cursed, and it comes as no surprise that the creator of the sauce was swept up in the swirling vortex of entropy that she created. This, truly is the way the world ends, not with a bang, no, but dipped in pink garbage for angry gods to gnaw upon.
@@ExactlySandwich It heartens me to know that not all of the joy has been bled from this world. Pray, do not make my mistake. Stay far away from Ivan's Ooze.
I'm honestly surprised that she's not in jail after how many FDA regulations she probably broke, nicer businesses and entrepreneurs have been skinned alive for less
That's what I think and is either mistaken by the wording in the contract or just lying. I can see that blew the money on bs and didn't invest/save at all. It kind of like welhen lotto winners become millionaires over night. They have no idea how to manage the wealth and they are in worse place than they were before the money
This is my take too, she got paid her lump sum and blew it by herself marketting her own sauce thinking she'd get royalties (for some reason) and when the company denied paying her for that she's now decided to try and slander them into paying her... I can't wait for them to sue her honestly.
We sell it at the Walmart I work at and can confirm it doesn't sell well. The stocking team complains that it is just taking up cap space for other things that sell, and will probably sit there until the expiration date hits. And you can't get royalties if no one is buying your product.
If she's that broke, she's broke because she spent her money like it was burning a hole in her pocket and relying on getting those royalties to stay afloat.
Similar to what Charlie said, Chef Pi is a representation of what not to do as an entrepreneur. Misleading labels, improper shipping, being rude, constantly lying, honestly she really had it coming.
She might even be lying about being broke. The only consistent thing she's done is lie about almost everything. And if she's a private chef, she can still work. She has no expenditures related to the sauce since she's not making it, Dave's Gourmet is.
Literally all she needed to do was make an apology, say she was a first time business owner and made a bunch of mistakes and promise to do better in the future (and actually do better, get FDA approval, find alternatives that were non-perishable) and all would be well. But instead she got defensive and tried to insist she could just send people this rancid death sludge in the mail lmaoooooo
Mhm, all this talk of royalties, she probably thought there would be monthly checks, but Dave's almost certainly bought the rights in a lump sum (marketing expenses, bought a bunch of new clothes thinking she would be on more talk shows advertising?) And she's just an idiot. Not shocking.
It's astounding how often people do this then act surprised when they figure out they can't maintain such a lifestyle without actively making a lot of cash.
Honestly, I think the secret ingredient in the Pink Sauce is what’s left of her brain dribbling out of her ears and nose. How could someone live as long as she has and be so clueless about…well, everything?
Dave's Gourmet said that they have paid her over $120k to date and are still paying her. That's a pretty good deal for a product that was becoming literally toxic. They even offered to pay for her lawyer to go through the contract and confirm it's totally legal. She's removed the libelous posts, but still has the libelous gofundme active. She's a grifter, and I hope Dave's Gourmet's lawyers were prescient enough to include a termination clause for this situation.
Looking at the basics, this is basically a classic evil CEO villain backstory. She rose to power and fame by doing bad things, and now she lost everything.
If I have learned anything about Americans from the last 8 years of politics, it's that about 1/4 of the population will support a dangerously deranged idiot no matter what heinous things they do and say.

Just watched another channel's video on this. They went into detail about the deal Dave's Gourmet had with her. She used the money for Air BNB's and hotels (she says she was still homeless). She also wanted Dave's Gourmet to cut her a $10,000.00 cheque so she could throw herself a birthday party, as well as paying for a dress and shoes to wear to said party ($800 dress; $600 shoes) and called it marketing expenses. Apparently she never refunded anyone either. Dave's Gourmet advised her to continue working in order to keep income flowing. She relied solely on them to do everything for her without doing any work herself (apparently inventing a sauce from ranch dressing and dragonfruit powder should've been enough). I doubt that she had anyone look over the contract. After Dave's refused to give her $24K for her birthday party/marketing, she refused to do anything in the form of marketing like doing TikTok's or RU-vid videos. In conclusion, she screwed herself.
@@littlemilk973 They don't deserve it, but she does deserve to be put in her place. It's hard to respect an arrogant person who treats her customers like crap.
My guess is the following: - Sold all of her rights to Dave for a flat fee + peanut royalties (pennies on the dollar) - The initial buyout money sent her over the moon so she quit her job and she spent all of the money too quickly - Hype around the product has died down so it's not selling nearly as well as projected so her royalties alone can't cover her living expenses - There might be clauses in her contract that are not in her favor, making her situation worse (ex: if the sauce doesn't hit X amount in revenue per month then she gets no royalty.. idk) - She could also be lying about all of this or grossly exaggerating her financial hardships. Who knows..
She wasted her money now doing a sob story to scam people for me, like 100000 to feed your kids? if it was 1k I would be more willing but how much she has on I have to say shes a scammer now
so, apparently, she want to live in a hotel...and want Dave Gourmet to pay for her "expense". she count her daily living expense as a "marketing expense", which she claim that Dave supposed to pay for her. Dave claim they did pay her Royalty, but the damn sauce dont sell as much as they had hope, further more, her "expense" was never in the deal according to them.
The Pink Sauce is now on clearance at Wal-Mart. According to the transaction history between Dave's Gourmet and Chef Pi (ironic it sounds like "Pee"; probably tastes like it too), she was paid $120,000 over a period of 12 months; that's $10K per month. She posted a TikTok nine days before her GoFundMe was set up, flexing that she sold 200K bottles of that nasty-ass sauce. Now she's "broke". The math ain't mathin', people.
Well that depends on her cut. If she is getting $.10 cents per bottle that's a good chunk. If she is getting significantly less then that sucks. But I think she is getting closer to a dollar. She is just a mess. I swear she spent all her money on playing up the pink costumes
@@alx123094 the shades are different colors if you look at the bottles closely and it’s nasty bruh 🤮 I saw one pink and another bottle more less white. They’re always there so I doubt they sell LMFAOOO.
If it's on clearance, I might get it to try it out. Didn't want to give her my money before, but if this doesn't scream "termination clause", idk what will LMAO. So i'm sure she'll get very little, if anything.
Clearance means Walmart will no longer be purchasing it. They're creating shelf space for something else with a better chance to turn a profit. It's essentially a death sentence for that product.
Anyone selling an edible product from their home that couldn't google "FDA" is a danger to society. She calls herself "Chef" yet can't boil an egg. This story makes me happy!
I’m in the hot sauce business. From my understanding, I do not think Dave’s acquired Pink Sauce. They most likely just became an exclusive co-packer/distributor for pink sauce to make the sauce legitimately and at scale. Dave’s wouldn’t pay her anything for this. They probably signed her on some sort of % deal so she wouldn’t have to front the money for production and also agreed to push the sauce into retail. Walmart products have to pay $10k-$50k per sku on the shelf, Dave’s probably fronted that money hoping it would take off and the percentage of sales over time would pay them back. If products don’t sell in walmart in the first 6-9 months they require you to discount the items and get them moved out of the stores. If Dave’s isn’t paying her it’s because the sales didn’t make back the cost of production and or cost of entry into retail. It takes hundreds of thousands or even millions invested up front in retail with the hope in 2-5 years you’ll make it back. ouchy.
@@jacobfreer9884And nobody needed your extremely insightful info about yourself. Like we really don't care about how you possess the intelligence and attention span of a tiktok toddler
Thank you, this makes a lot of sense and might explain why she never specified that she sold her brand to Dave's. How does the percentage deal usually work? Would Dave's ultimately be responsible for the production/distribution costs and share a small % of revenue with Chef Pii or the other way around?
That karamo interview was one of the most infuriating things I've ever watched. I cannot believe the host and the audience had the gall to support her. I hope the audience were payed off.
The thing is a lot of people thought the reason for disliking her "business" was due to racism. I've seen a ton of people say things like "they just don't like seeing black people become successful" especially on the comment section of that video.
the worst thing about the talk show incident is that the host AND the audience was on Chef Pii's side. Also, the critic asked to not be sat next to Chef Pii. Not only did they sit her next to her anyway, but they made the host BRING IT UP.
At one point Chef Pii even grabs her hand and holds it while she gets in her face to condescendingly speak to her. No idea how the other woman kept her composure during that
@@lauramontgomery4674 That is true. The reason I assumed they were on Chef Poi’s side is because of their reaction every time Chef Pii humiliated the critic. They just applauded.
I can almost guarantee that her "marketing costs" that she wants reimbursed are what she more than likely spent on a pink vehicle, pink designer clothing, expensive makeup, jewelry and anything else she deemed "necessary" for a post on her social media account to promote pink sauce. Now that pink sauce has fallen off and sales aren't doing well, she realizes she's not gonna make that money back and has probably been spending like pink sauce was an infinite money glitch. Never count all your eggs before they hatch.
And it seems the "faulty deal" just an excuse. I mean while Dave Gourmet not giving her enough money, it's definitely because the sauces just don't sell, no profit to share.
I suspect that she also doesn't understand the difference between net and gross profits, and so since daves isn't making net gains but is selling it she thinks she gets some money from them.
@@raymonddubisky3143 oh yeah, the taxes! This likely what she most miscalculate on. Even if the product not profitable, she still get some money, which also still taxed.

My mom was like that! And lord have mercy. You don't want a parent that speaks and acts like the way this lady did on that wack ass talk show. Real irritating ass shit, 20+ years of lame ass parenting
For me the fact that she's asking for $100,000 is the most telling for how much of a delusional leech she is. Everything about that interview she had on that show was so infuriating to watch, from her gaslighting the guest to taking this holier-than-thou attitude with her, such a tell for the type of person she is. Across her entire internet fame she has never taken accountability a single time. If her story is true I feel sorry for the kids, not an ounce of remorse for her, she brought it all on herself
Literally the 100,000 gofundme is a dead giveaway that she's a heartless bitch intent on scamming other single mothers out of their money. She uses that sob story to garner the empathy and thereby dollars of women who are actually going through it. She does NOT need 100,000 to take care of her kids, and to ask for anymore than 1000 shows her nature. Not to mention there is 0 explanation for why she would've lost money in all of this, and while she sits on her ass begging strangers for money online, she could get a job like every other fucking person on this planet. She's complaining that she's not getting royalties and therefore can't take care of her children; as if getting a job isn't even an option. If her story is true, then there ought to be government intervention, because she is abusing her children out of sheer laziness and desire to not work.
@OP - I agree 100% She probably spent $50k she didn’t have, thinking she’d be ballin from royalties. But then she thought “heck, why not ask for $100k? and get the bag” I mean, who needs $100K to just feed their kids?
I felt so much cringe seeing that poor girl double down after she was just awkwardly gaslighted in front of an audience. I was screaming at my screen for her to clap back but the discomfort was so powerful. She made 0 points, just socially dominated the woman with pressure from a crowd. Felt like I was years back in high school watching popular girls overpower other girls with sheer confidence, no matter how dumb the words they said
I could go on about the shipping disaster and the horrible talk show spot, but the fact that she calls herself a chef with sincerity is one of the most egregious aspects of this entire debacle.
All I want to know about all of this is how do you get to be a private chef with absolutely no idea how food works? because I’m an actual chef at a country club, and I would rather do that 😂
I've being a chef for ten years and when Pink Sauce first appeared I was pretty astounded that such a product was ever allowed to hit proper distribution networks. Talk about dangerous. But with a proper production line I can imagine it would be fine. Also the only reason, I would argue, that Pink Sauce lady is now broke is because of poor financial choices on the assumption of big bucks coming in combined with not reading the contract fully.
I worked at Walmart over the summer and was shocked to see a shelf full of pink sauce, by the end of the summer, I didn’t see a single one get purchased and just watched like 40 bottles sit on the clearance shelf, getting more and more discolored by the day

she did not know her sauce needed to be refrigerated so i can believe she got screwed over in the contract. never looked for or saw pink sauce in walmart here in susanville CA. i Wonder if she got a check in the beginning pink sauce was her job so if they did not pay her it would be like not being paid by your employer.
The fact that she speaks more of how "viral" her food is over how good it tastes, speaks to how much she cared more for the clout than the quality of her product
it was obvious when she sold product that could of killed people and used a talk show to attack a customer who was calling her out for how bad her sauce was.
