he did the most with the least. 4 nfc champion ship games in a row and only 1 pro bowl wr , who missed the championship game and played hurt in the SB. Mcnabb wasn't the most accurate, but he was a winner and rarely cost the team games. 5 championship games in 10 years... i know a lot of fanbases who would love that
warrior 4467 dude he threw that ball like 60 yards how far do you think he can throw lmao!!! Most qb’s can’t throw that far. And he was in front of Clark easy catch but would of maybe got hit. He’s a bitch
Rune K1ng Th0r yup dudes out of his kind was like 2 yards under thrown and on a pass that was like 60 yards!!!!! He was in front of Clark he would of caught that but mostly likely been hit but might not of been. Pinky is and always a bitch. Alligator arm bastard
This guy did make some big plays over the years, but in addition to this play, he was the guy Ricky Manning Jr. was covering in the 03 NFC title game when Manning had 3 INT's and Pinkston had zero catches, and PInkston also missed the whole second half of the Super Bowl against the Patriots because of leg cramps.
I was never Donovan's biggest fan, but I do feel like his receivers let him down big time. It's no surprise that the year they got T.O. they went straight to the Super Bowl. He finally had a WR who wasn't scared to get hit
Pinkston the one laughing now not having to deal with the after effects of head trauma. nowadays we would like at his career much differently, and the hits this man took we would be calling those defensive players 'dirty'.
He wasn't shying away from the hit, he was trying to get behind the defender, since the ball wasn't that accurately thrown. Look where the ball hits the ground. ;)
I was at this game and laughing my ass off. I don't think Pinkston has played a down of football since. Grant it, he was 6'1" 115, but he still curled up like a little girl.
that was not a bad throw from McNabb, i seen this game and am a redskins fan, McNabb threw it perfectly, Pinkston just didnt want to get smacked by Sean Taylor and Ryan Clark.
@6400az It's a well know fact that the Eagles had shitty receivers for most of McNabb's career, Pinkston was one of the contributers to this problem. Him pussing out to hits when he had the opportunity to catch the ball was nothing new; this video only shows that McNabb had nothing to work with outside of Westbrook and TO (for one year). I don't want my receiver to get hurt, but I want them to make the tough catches they're supposed to make. Pinkston SHOULD have made this catch.
I would be so ashamed I wouldn't even be able to look at my teammates in the locker room. Pinkston probably lost a alot of respect from everyone after that game
LOLOLOL I remember seeing this LIVE and just thinking, "What the hell just happened?" I knew from that moment on that he was finished. I feel bad for him that it happened on national tv and it is getting archived, but that was a bad thing to do. I came to RU-vid looking for the DeSean Jackson play I've been reading about. Where is that vid?
I know that was a BITCH move for Todd Pinkston to let the ball drop after seeing the safety coming, but can you really blame him? If he would've caught it and gotten PUMMELED by Ryan Clark and sustained a concussion, the Eagles and the NFL wouldn't give a F@#K about his well-being. The team "doctors" would've cleared him to continue playing in this game. Look at all the former NFL players who are filing lawsuits against the NFL over concussion effects!!
the funny thing is that the guy who he should be scared of , Sean Taylor, was beaten on the play and the little guy , Clark , scared the balls out of him
Jackson has all the best part of owens. He's a great reciever, he has that cockiness to get a team fired up, but he's not selfish. You see him making huge blocks for BW on his run plays and that just shows that he's about winning, not about himself. He's made those rookie mistakes, but I think the way he performs has made up for that. he's gonna be huge for us. Plus, he's fucking quick as shit damn.
OK first of all he was scared of Sean Taylor, who was right behind Clark coming at full speed. Sean Taylor would have killed him, so he backed out. I can just see the conversation with Andy Reed after this play. Reed- "Pinkston what was that?" Pinkston- "Well atleast who have me for the rest of the season."
So you see Todd outside of da club and you think he's a puuuuuuunk... So I go to my locker room, pack my bags, and put him off in da truuuuuunk... Tbh, I graduated college with Todd in 2000 from Southern Miss. He was truly a nice guy, even smoked a blizunt with him one night and went up to Subway, across da skreet from campus where I worked to support myself, myself Todd and a couple other of his homies just demolished several foot longs. Man dat was a great night. I know we're weren't close friends and he was only hanging with me me to smoke my loud and eat my roasted chicken breasts on wheat, but it was still fun and we had a blast. A truly great night for me in Hattiesburg history...
Manning made his receivers. If you've ever watched a Colts game, you see that it's all timing routes and Wayne/Harrison/Clark never get seperation, they just find the hole within the coverage.
And to think McNabb got this to those NFC games. No wonder Eagles still won no superbowls. And now have WRs but an unproven QB and a defense thats so torn apart that the draft wont fix it for another year or two with a coach who is very predictable. Gotta love the Eagles.
It took 15 years but this play has finally been upended by an even more pitiful WR effort after Nelson Agholor straight refused to lay out for a deep ball from Wentz last night.
