I am from Argentina and I find Zhuyin easier than Pinyin, because Pinyin uses letters that I am used to see , but they sound completely different than they do in my language and even in English. Zhuyin only has ONE way to be pronounced and you are always sure to pronounce correctly, exactly the sound and pronunciation that each character has.

我不知道关于这个注音难不难我用拼音来学很简单对我来说为我们外国人拼音非常适合因为拼音好像英语没有那个注意像汉字一样这是因为有人不想写汉字只就要知道怎么读😂

so informative, thank you! can i ask which form is more widely used in publications and everyday life in taiwan? will a foreigner learning pinyin be disadvantaged from reading street signs (bc they're more prevalent in zhuyin etc)?

as a Taiwanese my answer is that it is not about which yin you choose, it's only for learning it's about traditional or simplified characters but we do get some so-called English translation for it

May I ask what is the fifth tone mentioned in this video? I thought there were only four tones in Mandarin. Perhaps the fifth tone is the neutral one (that is, no tone)?

I am a Chinese. In fact I think there is no fifth tone at all. I don't know anything about the fifth tone. So it is not necessary for you to care about the fifth tone.

@@ivanozbolt3582 So fifth tone is basially called the light/short tone, in pingyin it is represented without any tone markers in zhuyin it is represented with a dot
