Thanks, You know what you are doing,Question: At test setup, 17:20 min, did you use a Test-Disk? Have a broken CLD-2950, found some bad caps around IC902. Audio-CD now playing again, but very picky about touching the case/machine, it quick skips if even touched. The LD's it won't play at all, disk not even spins, "No Disk"After the laser-focus check procedure. Have the machine couple of years, so was working fine till those 5 caps degrade to very leaky, C976,C970,C967,C987,C968. I can repair electronics, even got a Philips CDV475 going after recap and adjusting laser, without the testdisk. And got the Philips VLP720 going after some repair and re-glue of the mirrors.
Yes, I use Pioneer test disc and follow calibration procedure in the service manual. I replace all electrolytic caps in psu and have started to include those polymer smoke caps also.
Yess got it going again! 1audio CD gave some sound. An other audio cD (ADD) did not. Started in Test-mode but was not helpfull enough. Then took the change to fiddle with the laser adjustments. Mark current positions and went ahead. After adjusting " Focus Gain" and "Tilt" it started to work like new. Now watching a Gold degrading Elton John CD Video!! Without a crimp. And that is how I know this Pioneer 2950 .Think even a beter picture now. I did not forget to replace the bad 1F, 5.5V Backup Capacitor.
@@maurice2vd6 Yes, picture quality will often be better with calibration if settings is way out off spec. And laser will live a much longer life if calibrated according to service manual. Less stress on laser.
Magnus, would you be able to share specifically what you did do to stop the clicking noise (as the laser goes to read the disc)? 3:18 on the video. I can't stop mine from clicking 😞 Any help would be appreciated
HI Magnus, I recently changed the grip ring and the band, but the problem i have is that the tray gets stuck when you press eject. Sometimes also when you press for the disc to load it does the same whirring noise. Usually i have to either wait for the tray to eject by itself or i sometimes pull the tray when it gets stuck. What could be a probable fix?
I have a pioneer DVL L888 lost power .. Can you guide me to make a video for me to watch and learn to repair ? Please help me?? Thanks very much.. 😍😍👍👍👍
U1 = Miss clamp error During LD setup, after 1/8th rotation, the track count during 1/8 rotation exceeded 511. During start-up, the focus was lost once and refocusing was attempted, but the focus could not be locked. Two FG pulses did not come within 800ms from the start of LD start-up The disc clamp operation did not end within 5 seconds. Probable cause(s): Disc sandwidched Disc shifted Spindle motor KO Disc scratched or dirty defocused during start-up Two discs loaded PU actuator KO Tilt sensor KO Tilt neutral KO (tilt base KO)
