G'day from NZ. I just bought a p42 for $5(!!!!!), to go with my dad's p41s he bought brand new in the mid seventies. They are both in great condition and run with that grunty pioneer sound. Thanks for your video and take care 👍
Boy those pioneers sound awesome with those reeds, you said the pioneer p 42 is a 65cc saw, I have never had the privilege to see one way up here in Alaska, but judging from some research I did, I think you are spot on the p 38,39,40,41,42 as well as the farmsaw 1 and 2 are listed as 66cc? And as you said the p 50,51 are the 82cc variants, I did see a pioneer that caught my eye a couple months back this was a p 45 version the western which was a I want to say 72cc or 75cc saw built for the Westcoast timber industry with the hi-top filter, full wrap, large bucking spikes, as a side note he was also selling a 66cc version of like saw, his brother apparently was an old school logger from the pnw back in the day, anyway it won't be long before I get bitten by the pioneer bug myself, I would love to see how these compare to the mcculloch pro mac 700 and saws from the other manufacturers of that time period very cool video!!!😊😊😊😊
Good video Leon. Tech form was a huge manufacturing company in Canada. Manufacturing various item for industry. I have some neat stories from a former customer of mine who worked at Pioneer Peterborough. He worked in the test and development department. Give ne call one day and I will share the stories with you.
Hello Leon. I came across your channel because I just became the owner of 2 old homelites. A 2100s automatic and a XL 1020. I googled to see if there were parts available and if they're rest or able and I was happy to watch you unbox and run one. I haven't looked them over very close, I just saved them from my sister in law throwing them away. Are they worth anything and are all parts available? I also have a couple pioneers which I haven't went through because of the ignition problem. Is there an answer for that problem?
