Imo, you didnt clarify it as an opinion. You was telling it as a statement: edm is shit. That way its not subjective. i didnt call you dumb. I said saying that make you sound dumb.
+Youri Tol I know what he was trying to say, but this falls under "EDM", thankfully though, it's not the regular mainstream "poison" EDM that Melbourne Bounce and Big Room has become haha.

Killer mix mojax. can't even begin to tell you how nice it is to see a DJ actually looking after their levels. too many DJ's these days redlining the gains into oblivion great tracks too
Cheers for this man, I think this is all I need these days as I have limited space and can't justify a full size set up as I don't play out. Coming from 1210s back in the day I could never get used to the feel of a controller and software on a laptop as I felt way too detached for some reason. Good review earlier of this also thanks again.
watching all these videos on various DJ equipment makes you end up wanting top of the line models with the added features that they provide, lol ... those Pioneer screens looks awesome, very detailed. Thanks again for your videos Mojaxx
First and foremost, fantastic track selection and mixin'. Thanks for the review video as well. I like the way you do your reviews... very informative and engaging. Seeing you rock this in action makes me happy I got mine pre-ordered. Now if the 17th of this month could arrive already that'd be peacy! Lol. Cheers from Orlando, FL :)
It already did... Originally the video was 5 minutes longer, but the last track got the whole thing blocked. Hopefully I have appeased the lords of copyright enough by cutting it down now!
Great mix!! I want one of these. I have a ddj-sb from pioneer, can't wait to buy the xdj-rx. Looks great and have a great package. I cant afford cdjs =\
Is it me or there is small space to move around between the knobs? It's a common controller problem that gets you frustrated in the fear of hitting something accidentally and you cannot perform well in the end. Nice mix btw.
Thanks! Actually the RX is pretty spacious for an all-in-one. It's a bit bigger than the DDJ-SX, and that has 4 channels, extra pads and all sorts which the RX doesn't. The layout feels pretty similar to regular Pioneer DJM/CDJ kit in use.
MojaxxVDJ ...I love my ddj sx. It's my very 1st serious intro into digital djaying. My friend uses a mac...I on the other hand have a PC. I'm just so loving the fact that I can do this without dragging my computer around. Have you used the ddj? If so any comparisons?
When you search in your library you can only see the track name and bpm, no key or comments etc? I can only see the key once you load the track, but not before. This might be a deal breaker!
Too bad Pioneer can't make the waveforms run the same speed when at same BPM. Makes it a bit weird if you want to waveride. Is this still the case on the latest firmwares?
I just bought this Controller. How do you analyze the tracks in the Rekordbox Software so that your tracks can be synced on the unit when you load them in?
how do you find this unit for drifting in out of time even tho bpm is matched up i feel like am constantly adjusting with platter to keep in beat ? i have arranged beat grids so don't no were am going wrong really
Very nice tracks. I'm a house head I rock with a ddj sx but I am very very interested in this xdj. Share those tracks plz or ima have to Shazam it. Lol
In reply to your other question, I own an SX and like it very much. It has more features (4 channels etc), but as you'll say, a decent computer is always needed too. Personally I really like using Rekordbox overall, it's my platform of choice now, but only you can decide if you're the kind of DJ who's suited to it, I'm afraid.
Nice mix! :) Any notable difference in sound quality between this and the nexus series with Wolfson DAC? Cant say I hear it here on by B&W speakers in the living room or on the HDJ 2000s.
If you're playing lossless music through a really high-end system, you might notice a difference. But using mp3s on an average home or bar setup, there will be nothing in it.
hey man, i am really interested in these. do they have the same feel as cdj2000s? i've never used rekordbox before but i always play out on cdjs. if i fiddled around with rekordbox on this, would it export any cue points i put in there onto a usb so that i could play it on cdjs in a club? cool mix as well btw
Derren Etienne CDJ 2000 NXS, yes. They only edited Reordbox a bit for the XDJ-RX. U have to keep in mind that Rekordbox should be used as a music administration software, so u can analyze tracks, make the beat sticks fit and so on. As a friend told me: 'If u rly use the advantages Rekordbox brings with it, u'll see that f.e. Serato is miles behind it.'
I got a big but small question, will take You only a second but will help me save a looot hard earned money, help me please! When you set the mixer mode to MIDI, can it still mix two tracks in standalone mode? Or MIDI mode disables hardware mixer completely?
+David Estrelinha Lol, I have exactly the same question. But I believe Pioneer will make ur decision become much easier, cuz I think they will release Pioneer XDJ-RZ in 2016. Then it will be 4 channels I think. It is the only explanation for me why they only made it a 2 channels standalone.
I don't get the constant touching of the tempo fader if you're already at the right bpm.. and you're not even moving it most of the time (when you are it's pointless). Other than that I love the mix
Even when the bpm is adjusted at the same number at both decks, it's necessary to adjust the tempo (%), although for the 120-130 bpm range (House Music), we can previously adjust the tempo at .0.80% for each bpm above or below between the two tracks.
NIIIIICE AS HELL MOJAXX!!! GOOD OLE MINIMAL HOUSE MUSIC AT ITS BEST!!!! I LIKE HOW YOU TOOK YOUR TIME WITH THE MIX AND DIDN'T USE ALL THE UNNECESSARY, MIX DESTROYING EFFECTS!!
Currently using an SX Looking at upgrading in April Originally was going to go for the SZ Now I'm torn between the SZ and the Xdj 1000's But this would mean forking out an extra £800 on a djm mixer , probably the 750! I really don't know what to go for I love my SX But wanted to get a set up that represents a club set up! The SZ was /is an amazing piece of kit when I used it but it's over a year old and in controller terms this must mans it close to been replaced or upgraded! Grrrrr I hate decisions lol I don't want to be upgrading my gear again for a very long time !!!!
Are you high? The beats are in perfect sync and he goes ahead and touches the pitch and then tries to correct it. He also spends 2 minutes pressing the cue and trying to beatmatch and then finally commits.. Nice mixtape, but it's entry level DJ'ing, nomatter how much you might disagree with me, if you can't mix like this, you don't belong behind a turntable.
Can't wait for mine to arrive here in greece, will also be hooking up my sl1200's... this device has got me back into DJing.. been sorting my library in rekordbox in preparation for its arrival!. Thank you for this mix and your review!
1. Hello have a XDJ RX but I have the following problem , loading 45 songs loading menu stops responding. Even the load keys , stop responding 2. You can test your equipment to see if it is a bug or if it is a fault of my equipment 3. Already the firmware 1.30 was installed 4. Thank you for your help
Can someone please help me? You know when you have that awful case of just about hearing a song in your head but completely find yourself unable to find it/or any recognisable lyrics!! What I do know however is this..(New York rap by will hollyoaks has a sample of THE track I cannot trace. 15:37 and 15:45 briefly kicks in the sample of THE track I'm searching for. I thought for half a second it was an old basement jaxx track but then after a few looks, turns out it isn't. I honestly cannot state how happy I will be if someone puts me out of my misery!
