Kevin Bickers I'd like to know if the tri pacer can haul a 250 lb pilot plus pax up here in Denver. I'm a student pilot. And I'd like to know if you are aware of any hangar space out here. Thanks
If the tripacer is an o-320 it should be fine, I wouldn't look at the smaller engines for high (density) alt operations. Shoulder room can be tight so 2 bigger guys fit but probably not too comfortable for long hauls. The later models ('56+ I think) have split front seats instead of a bench which helps a lot for shoulder room because you can stagger the seats with one forward and one aft. I keep the back seats out which make it a great 2 seat + camping gear plane but the backseat is small so not great for tall pax. There's a hangar waiting list at Elite (the FBO) for LMO. Last I heard there was also a waiting list for BDU but generally there are more openings at GXY and FTG.
