In a next game, for the Mario characters: Mario: Give him some more Odyssey-inspired moves, but do keep most of his moveset the same. Luigi: Incorporate his Poltergust into his moveset more (in particular, replace the side and down specials). Peach: Give her moves inspired from Princess Peach Showtime. Daisy: Give her moves inspired from Super Mario Wonder (perhaps badges). Bowser: Not sure specifically, but he does feel rather generic. He especially needs his normal Bowser noises and not his current monster sounds. Piranha Plant: Just give him something to do with singing, it was just too great in Wonder. Bowser Jr., Dr. Mario, and Rosalina are fine as is.
