Piranha 190cc is a rebrand Zhongshan 190 they only rebrand the only 2 190 is zs190 and Daytona 190 , the only yx that’s close is if you build a yx187 with a 4 valve head
@@josephsaucedo8691 well sure but how long will it last ? The Daytona lasts less 30 hours when raced, you can also make a Daytona to make 35hp but we are talking less than 10 hours before you need a top end service, sure the most reliable would be the zs190, sometimes it’s just too sketchy to add so much power on a pit bike, like my yx150 with 18/37 gearing it gos 71.5 mph all day long and on a 17/14 wheel set up it’s scary
@@cobalt930 nice I see you no your engines the time it will last always depending on the care but I here ya that the name of the game when racing they run the best just before they blow lol any single piston engine over 30 hp is called a mypop also none as one run and done. As you can tell I'm in to drag racing. Good stuff like your reply. 😁💯🛠️🏍️👍✌️👌
@@slavsquad thank you bro seriously and if you could I uploaded a video myself first video if you could check it out maybe give a like that’d be great 😃
@@slavsquad tempting definally, but this motor require more maintenance which Daytona gives and manual, I would go for a 4 speed instead becuase breaking transmissions aren’t fun
He already has a NIBBI carb on it you can see it on the video. I have the YX150 bored out to 187cc with V2 race head, NIBBI carb and race cam. Thing rips.
seeing them running balls out on the street, reminded me of the time my 125, 2 stroke locked up on me on asphalt. of course i wasn't ready, i slide forward and both feet came off the pegs. so now I'm riding on my nutsack with my legs behind me, i stayed like that till i came to a stop. it was a combination of never being rebuilt and ridding the piss out of it for 3 years. growing up in sunny southern California, it's always birtbike weather.
Its just gearing.. if both bikes were geared same.. same speed zongshen is piranha is syx is ssr is kayo is.. unless you have pitster, daytona or higher end quality engine..
Hay bro there the same engine there all built in the same build house in the same country there just under different control quality the design is Japan but there built in China Daytona zongshen yzf thump star any thing with a 190cc are the same design there parts are interchangeable for the most part I could tell you what you need to beat him depending on what he has and how far you want to take it the engine capable to do 90 mph at least on the west coast of Cali 17t and 34t is what we run. 💯👍✌️👌🏍️🛠️
@@slavsquad what engine and brand there a bunch of things I seen a couple of your videos just now your on the right track open air filter carb size and muffler size also helps quite a bit depending on size also cdi timing cylinder head make a big difference as well a lot of power can be found there.💯🛠️🏍️👍✌️👌🧐😁
@@josephsaucedo8691 mines a zongshen 190. 26mm nibi Knick off. Open foam uni air filter. 17t front sprocket. Stock Pitster pro x5 160cc exhaust. I do want to do a top end build down the road. Make it’s a monster
@@slavsquad yes you are right I can tell you what you need to make it just that when your ready if you don't mind email me no cap my username 82 at Yahoo sorry i wrote it funny but RU-vid will delete if I didn't. I actually talk to quit a bit off of RU-vid now about these engine I have a Daytona and a z.s 190 also have a Honda Wich is similar depending on model. Every one after the power and want reliable engine I don't blame them you don't have to by a expensive Daytona to do it though most people will try to tell you to though. Only because they don't no how or want to build so they pay 1500+😬🤑💯🛠️🏍️👍👌✌️
@@slavsquad 26mm a little small most people run 28- 32mm carb on the 190 28mm most popular when you do top end work it will definitely help to go bigger 👍👌✌️🏍️🛠️💯
Fantastic video mate really enjoyed watching it I don’t know much about those bikes we don’t have those models here in New Zealand all ways looking forward to watching your next video take care mate
Daytona stock is the highest output at 24hp and also highest price but the Zongshen and piranha have around the same HP at about 14 stock to 16-17 modded or even up to 24hp with the correct big bore and head but that’s somewhat expensive
Hi mate I spoke to you a couple weeks ago about me blowing my 155cc any chance you could help me I’m ordering a new barrel and piston kit but I don’t have any tools witch tools will I need to buy to take it apart and that the new ones back on i have watched other vids but rather have it in writing so I can do it that way😅
these engines don't require any special tools. only specific thing would maybe be a torque wrench for the head studs when putting it back. if your doing top end its pretty simple. get your basic tools. get a razor blade to clean up the old gaskets. scotch bright for that as well. some contact cleaner or brake and parts cleaner.if your adjusting valves then get some feeler gauge set. if your doing the bottom end then get some snap ring pliers as well. might need a case splitters. Flywheel removal tool. clutch removal tool. then should be good to go
If it’s blown I would check crank, make sure no shavings are in it and clean the bottom end, there is no better way I know to clean it completely I would take apart the bottom end just to clean it , the special tools you need are pit bike castle nut remover and a flywheel puller both should be inexpensive.
I’ve never tested compression but that’s a video to come soon so I’m not sure what the compression is. I know they have very high kick back. Hurts your leg when it does.
@@slavsquad yeah ahah i think the bikes over 140 have decompression heads kr something as they all look like they have less compression than the fresh 125 and 140
@@steelyc7079 well that could be a good theory to test out. I have a 125 a 140 and the 190 so I might just have to do a compression test on each one and see the numbers
I stuffed a 18tooth sprocket on my yx150 and a 37 rear, i topped at 65, my engine has a ported head and a nibbi 26mm carb it rips but hard time starting it lol kicks back too much so I only bump start
Besides it shifting into neutral a lot no. There’s a “shift star mod” you can do to not have this neutral issue anymore. I’ve herd the kick starter goes bad cuz it’s a weak point. But so far we haven’t had that issue. I’ve had to fix a broken gear in the transmission but that was due to our own fault when we tied it up and made a rope swing from the bike lol
@@draxstice yeah I think it depends how hard you are on it. I wouldn’t doubt mine will end up having some trans issues in the future cuz I’m hard on it.
