In September 2018, Yosemite Sam and the Gold River Adventure sustained extreme flooding damage, and as a result, was completely gutted. Six Flags Over Texas decided to retheme the attraction to Pirates of Speelunker Cave, an homage to the rides original theme, known as "The Cave", which featured creatures called the Speelunkers. The layout is exactly the same as when the ride first opened. This retheme opened on May 14, 2022.
This POV does feature some light conversation between me and a friend at points, so if that bothers you, sorry in advance. This is the only POV I got at the park, so I wanted to upload it regardless. We took a day trip up to Arlington so I could knock out the remaining credits in the Dallas area, which I did! Six Flags Over Texas is complete for me now, and I also got a ride in on Prairie Screamer at Trader's Village, which I regret not getting a POV of.
