this scene is so awesome. i like the beginning of it where shes listening to the locket and closes it and he opens his and she looks off with curiosity. their love is so unique and cant be duplicated in any movie
I’ve come back to this video 14 years later.. they were together before she gave him the responsibility of Davy Jones and when they could’ve been together, she didn’t show up.. in my opinion, both were a little wrong
@@ashoikiesaunders721 West Indies is the Indian Ocean or Asia. Jamaica is in the carribean, I think you’re using some random stuff that’s gonna make me think twice of humanity.
!SPOILERS! I dont think Davy Jones deserved that at the end, getting killed off like that. They ended the story without the story actually reaching a conclusion! Really defeats Disney's moto of "Love Conquers All" >_>
Why was Calypso's imprisonment in human form (initiated by Davy Jones) a bad thing? She was the one who betrayed his love on a whim. So he betrayed her in return. Immature tit for tat perhaps but I can see why he'd be so upset and heartbroken after all these years.
Wether Calypso stood him up or not, Davy Jones agreed to ferry the souls of the dead. He had no right to use the Dutchman for his own selfish goals. Davy wasn't punished for betraying calypso, even tho binding the goddess of the seas is a very unnatural and selfish act on its own. As it hurts everyone connected to the sea. Not just her. But he was punished for being selfish rather then doing his job.
@Bigboi709 Actually, the actor who plays him ( Bill Nighy) has a condition in which both the ring and little finfer of both hands are permanently curled inward toward his palm.
@grannyandgrandad You cant hate someone unless you love them first. At least not passionate hate the way he despises her. He only hated her due to the fact that he felt so wounded by her.
It's a bit symbolic. Calypso is the sea, and the sea had always been the symbol of freedom. She's fickle and unpredictable, you don't know what she'll do. Jones devoted his life to the sea and the sea is not to be trusted. Instead of accepting it, he became frustrated and cruel.
