@@roddo1955 I didn’t read the whole chat (I was so focused on KSO’s reaction lol) so did I miss him mentioning what he wants to see her react to? Let me know 😊 you’re so sweet to ask that for him!
The reason why Jack walks like he's drunk is because he spent so much of his life on the swaying seas that he has become permanently accustomed to ocean balance and its ever-changing ways. This means that he is balanced on a rocking ship in a storm, but he wobbles when walking on solid ground.
I'm so glad you liked Captain Barbosa as a villain! I think you would really enjoy "The King's Speech" an award-winning movie (2010 Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Actor), based on a true story, which features Geoffery Rush (who played Barbosa), and it also stars someone else you'll recognize from the Harry Potter movies. I hope you will watch it for us some day! I don't understand why no one ever reacts to it. Thanks!
The reason the man on the docks said "welcome to Port Royal, Mr. Smith" is because the name Smith is so common that people often used it as an alias. Which is the case when Captain Jack Sparrow wanted to conceal his real identity for the price of 3 shillings.
This is one of those rare movies that really has no true villains in it. Norrington is a man of the law who takes his job quite seriously, and even let Elizabeth go when he realized she would never be happy with him. Barbossa and his crew are all criminals, true, but for ten years they have been robbed of their humanity and now want nothing more than to feel what it is like to be human again. Even as he dies you can see the light return to his eyes for a moment when he says he feels something, even if it is his own life leaving him.
Yes, but In the Lord of the Rings, he is best as archer than with the sward, lucky actor is Orlando who could have act in two big franchise (not too many), like Harrison Ford in Star wars and Indiana Jones.
Parler is a French word meaning "to speak". It is also used as a diplomatic invitation to peacefully negociate something, It stayed in the English language like many other French words.
My favorite Johnny Depp movie is Edward Scissor Hands! If you haven't seen it yet, I really suggest you do. Danny Elfman wrote a magnificent score for it as well 🥰
Sleepy Hollow is another great JD film. And this series is iconic, and JD actually fought hard to play Jack the way he did. He based a lot of the character on Keith Moon from the Rolling Stones... (I think it's Keith lol correct me if I'm wrong). Keep watching the series please. It's a shame we will never get another Jack Sparrow film....
Never say never. Rumors have gone very intense that Disney has offered Depp quite significant sumn of money. Of course its a rumor. I agree Sleepy Hollow, but I sugggest you keep it for Halloween. its perfect Halloween Film. For more light hearted Johnny Depp film: I suggest Cry Baby 1990 where you can se baby faced Johnny Depp.
In the first scene of Sweeney Todd, you have both young and adult Grindelwald. You also got Peter Pettigrew and Bellatrix Lestrange in the movie! It's indeed a beautiful movie. Glad to hear that you're planning to dive into more Johnny Depp movies! ⚡️⚡️⚡️
🤎loved this one!!!! As for Johnny Depp films, I think you should watch "What's eating Gilbert Grape" next!! its one of his first roles and there is a surprise introducing actor in there as well!! :) enjoy whatever you watch next as always!!! 💜💛💙
God Bless You Girl from my mom and I in Southern California USA 🇺🇸 You will love these Pirates Movies!! Kiera Knightly was I think 18 when she did this movie. You remember her from Pride and Prejudice and you loved her in that movie! You will love her in this movie too! Remember Legolas from Lord Of The Rings. He’s actor Orlando Bloom. He plays in this as well as Will Turner. He’s naturally a dark haired dark eyed man. He loved doing these movies! The soundtrack to this film is also very beautiful!! Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow is just so amazing! This movie was a huge blockbuster and everyone loved it!! I won’t give anything away but you will definitely be on an adventure during this movie!! ❤️❤️🙏 Tuning in from Southern California USA 🇺🇸
Johnny Depp modeled his character after Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones, who appears in the 4th & 5th Pirates of the Caribbean films as Jack's father.
Edward Scissorhands would be a wonderful Johnny Depp film to watch around Christmas. It’s not strictly a Christmas movie, but it does have lovely wintery vibes!
My Favorite Johnny Depp movies are Crybaby (it's a musical also) Pirates of the Caribbean Finding Neverland And Alice in Wonderland (Live Action). This movie is so good and Orlando Bloom (who play Legolas in Lord of the rings) is also really good in this movie
YES I love this movie😍 All the characters are so fun, it’s hard not to find them loveable😂 I love the quick witted dialogue which is mirrored in the cinematography🤩
Am not a patreon, don‘t have the funds atm. Am SO enjoying what you do. Thank you so very much, for making your content available to all of us. You really should watch“What is eating Gilbert Grape@. A beautiful example of Mr. Depp‘s work. And a wonderful performance by Leonardo Dicaprio also!
Sincerely when you see pirates of the Caribbean world end be sure to watch the final scene at the end of the credits. You’ll be surprised for that twist at the ending.
My favorite films are pirates 1 and 2 and corpse bride. I love the costume design in these films. Jack is such an intriguing character. He’s odd hahaha. Johnny is so talented. He’s a pretty good musician and painter too. I watched the entire trial. It was very interesting. Definitely some interesting experts in the trial.
If you carry on with the Pirates films you will meet the actual man who inspired JD's performance as Jack Sparrow. So glad you liked this film. I have to say I certanly didn't expect a film based on a Disney theme park ride to be this good.
LONG LIVE CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW. Harrison Ford, Jim Carrey, Michael Keaton, Christopher Walken, Robin Williams, Matthew McConaughey and Robert DeNiro were almost cast as Jack Sparrow. Tobey McGuire, Christopher Masterson, Christian Bale, and Ben Peyton were considered for Will Turner. Amanda Bynes, Jamie Alexander and Jessica Alba were considered for Elizabeth. At one point Steven Spielberg was almost picked to direct the film but was too busy working on Minority Report and Catch Me If You Can, both released in 2002.
A lot of these are good actors and would have done a good job, but I think the film would have been vary different to what it is now. Particularly with a different Jack. I love it as is and am very glad we got hat we did, but it would have been interesting to have seen what the different interpretations may have been.
Best (in my opinion) Johnny Depp movies, besides the Pirates franchise: • What's Eating Gilbert Grape? • Edward Scissorhands • Benny & Joon • Charlie and The Chocolate Factory • Finding Neverland • Sleepy Hollow
Kemi, I am so glad you finally got to watch this film! I really hope that you will continue the series, and I hope you will watch all remaining four films. I understand a lot of fans would prefer you just to stop after the third film, but I feel like you should watch all four of them and form your own opinion. I’m pretty sure a lot of people are giving a lot of facts about the characters and the actors who played them like that this franchise is based on the ride in Disney World by the same name. I thought I might want to bring up that there was a short film called Pirates of the Caribbean: Wedlock; if you wish to watch this, it gives you context as to why Scarlet and Gisele slap Jack in the first place. And it also shows you how Cotton lost his ability to speak. There amazing pirate films I would highly recommend like Cutthroat Island and Treasure Island. And other Johnny Depp movies I would highly recommend are Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Lone Ranger, Finding Neverland, Alice in Wonderland and Alice Through the Looking Glass, and if you wish to continue with your Harry Potter experience he appears as the villain in the first two films of Fantastic Beasts. 💛🤎🏴☠️⚓️⚔️🐒
@@taniaPBear yes but we don’t really acknowledge those. The first 3 with all of the same characters were the true original trilogy. I myself, was a huge avid fan of these movies but I stopped watching consistently when the casting changed. I’ve only seen dead men tell no tales after that and it was alright but not the same caliber of the first 3
Wonderful reaction as always. You will love the next two Pirates of the Carribbean Movies. I think that Geoffrey Rush is still underrated. He can easily hold up to Johnny Depp's performance. Other Johnny Depp movies I recommend: Edward Scissorhands Sleepy Hollow Don Juan de Marco Ed Wood
I know you asked for Johnny Depp films (I’ll second someone else’s Sleepy Hollow suggestion, especially as we approach fall & Halloween), but since you seem to be a growing fan of Orlando Bloom (between him as Legolas in Lord of the Rings & now here), give Kingdom of Heaven a watch. But it MUST be the extended version. Biggest difference in quality between a normal and extended cut of any movie I can think of. The extended cut is a top 25 film imo.
I enjoyed this movie when I first saw it. My best friend(she was the 'Grace' to my 'Will')and I went and we geeked out. Good times. We loved going to the movies, a lot. And when we got home we'd talk and talk and talk in the silliest ways.
I'm not on your side but I am on your side 😅😂🤣 Another beautiful awesome Reaction Johnny Depp is a wonderful actor. My favourite movie of his is Edward Scissorshands.
4:42 am. I need something exactly like this. And here it is not too serious, but draws your attention funny. You don;t have to think too hard. I’ve seen this 4 times or so, so I can doze off. A lot of my life is finding the right piece to go with the right time. Favorite Johnny deep- Edward scissors hands. I was a similar age to the characters. I was their demographic, and I LOVED that movie. I related to the isolation . And the brilliance.
This has been one of my favorite movies since I was like 9 or 10. I wanted to be Elizabeth Swann so badly! And I had the biggest crush on Orlando Bloom. He's played some great characters.
Love that you're starting this ♡ - also if you love Alan, I recommend watching 'Snow Cake'. It's a very small movie, but he is so brilliant in it. As for Johnny, I love 'Finding Neverland' (I am into small movies), and also 'Murder on the Orient Express', although he is not in that one very much due to the murdering part.
Ohhh im sooo happy u got to do this one ... i hope u do the sequels.... and please think about doing THE LION THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE.... sooo good one of my childhood best stories growing up and they did not disapoint when making the movie
The producers and directors wanted the character of Capt. Jack Sparrow to go in a completely different direction. Depp stuck to his guns. What you see on screen is 100% Him.
9:10 -well, first time we saw Elizabeth she looked 12? If she is a classic 18 year old, it's only 6 years later. He could have been 22 and now 28 - right age for marriage.
It tickles me that you would search out the numbers, add to it by clicking the video and assist the channel by leaving a comment - thereby promoting the view on the algorithm. #smartbyhalf
So, Good I hope you plan on doing the others as well. I love Jack so much his energy is just all over the place. But I do Love Will because he played the Elf in Lord of the rings.
so, no one told you that there was an after credit scene. please watch it before you see the second movie, it answers one big question that you might have if you watch the sequel straight away.
My personal favorite JD performance has to be Raoul Duke in Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas. A really... special movie about the leftovers of the '68 movement with lots of insane scenes about aaaaaaall the drug abuse, absurdly funny, lots of quotable lines, and some very deep moments.
