Timothy Blackburn think you mean they used a replica of the black Perl for queen ands revenge since the Queen Anne’s revenge was in the last film and the black Perl was in the first 3. And plus they didn’t use a replica for the Queen Anne’s revenge or it would look like the black Perl, and it doesn’t. At all. Completely different ship.
They did use the same ship. Look at pictures of both ships. They have the exact same cannon layout, front part of the ship is identical, same goes for the masts- The only difference is the changed rear part of the ship with additional strucrures

Stranger Tides was the best out of the 5 films, it actually was a true Pirates movie, unlike the sappy love story the previous 3 were, if people thought more with their head, then what makes their parts tingle, society would be better off, the story was great, who they got to play the most legendary pirate in the world, was perfect for the role, plus other little nods to folktales and pirate legends
They did the same thing for the film "Dracula, Dead & Loving it". Studios are notorious for building entire sets and then cutting the scene out or using very little. I helped build the set for the vessel that brings Dracula across the sea in the beginning of the movie. There was a whole vessel that we rigged with all the masts and rigging, including a separate crow's nest with shrouds & ratlines for a different shot. I was there during the filming for two days, but when the movie was released only about 20 seconds made it onto the screen.
@@samuelhaverghast2442 I liked 4 but I wouldn't say it was the best, it failed to build upon a lot of things the previous 3 set in place where "pirates" are concerned, and for a ship that looks so menacing it is criminally underutilized, as was Blackbeard, that name alone should've made him a much bigger villain but davy completely outshines him. It also didn't give us much "ship combat" or much of what pirates actually were about apart from the adventure part. I loved 4 but not as much as I was hoping I would, this movies plot could've used a sequel to flesh things out and develop Blackbeard as a villain.

Hey, just so you know, the Queen Anne’s Revenge and Black Pearl sets were both built on the same ship. They simply redid the set design when they wanted the ship to be the Queen Anne’s Revenge rather than the Black Pearl. However, both are the same as they were literally built on the same ship.
@@ares8916 I informed you of this because when a person says “this is the Black Pearl” they’re not wrong. The ship was and is the same ship that the Black Pearl set was on. The set was then slightly altered to be the Queen Anne’s Revenge. Same boat, just a slightly different set. Calling it either the “Black Pearl” or the “Queen Anne’s Revenge” are both correct in this case.
@@cloroxbleach8087 not exactly as I don’t think the black pearl can be controlled by ones sword, You have to understand that when you make a cake and put chocolate icing on it it’s called a chocolate cake but when you take that icing off and cut the middle of the cake and fill it with whipped cream, butter and jam then it’s a Victoria. This ship was previously the Black pearl, but when they decided to make the film on stranger tides, they wanted to add a new ship. It would've costed a lot to make a whole new ship, so they changed the Black pearl into the Queen annes Revenge. Savvy?
