Pirates of the Caribbean PARIS Ride | UNIQUE Ending! | Better than California Version 

The order of events are odd, but there are some good ideas here: 1. The graveyard of ships at the beginning; 2. Plunging directly into the cannon fire scene; 3. The plunge and explosion at the end. Had this been preceded by the pirate shootout in the gunpowder storage it would have been brilliant.

Paris is more tropical and has enlarged scenes but lacks the moodiness and spookiness of California.

I like the fact that the ride ends with the skeleton cave, almost as though it brings us the implied fates of all of the pirates present during the battle that riders have just witnessed.

I rode this last Sunday before it closed on Monday for its refurb! The queue was a 5 or 10 minute wait all day, my girlfriend and I were the only ones in the boat one of the rides! Excellent ride!!

Having the skeletons at the beginning or the end? Which is better? I think that’s a subjective question. They both have pros and cons. What puts California’s ride over Paris is the ceiling (believe it or not). Hear me out: The ceiling in Paris is a series of hanging baffles that are supposed to muffle sounds from different scenes bleeding into each other. The problem is that they are very visible. Even if you’re not looking directly at them you know they’re there. This hits people at an unconscious level, taking them out of the immersive feeling of the scenes. In California, the ceiling is just a smooth surface painted matte black. It does a much better job of giving you the feeling of being outdoors. This one thing makes a BIG difference to the experience.

ive ridden all the classic pirates rides and this one is by far the best you cant really compare any of them to shanghais pirates ride as its a completely different concept

Compared to the current L.A. version. ... perhaps. Nothing though can compare to the O.G. version when the boats ahead and behind were empty, and it's just me soaking up magic. 🖖☠👍

I went to Disneyland Paris for the first time last November, honestly I really like this version over the ones in the US because of the order of events/sequence of rooms, it’s very very cool and tells a better story

Love the sword fighting guys even though they weren't working properly but that's what we've come to expect from Disney now.

Have you ever seen Fatama Morgana at the Efteling (Netherlands)? Efteling also has the best dark ride called Symbolica, you really should experience it.

The ride vehicles on this version are identical to the vehicles on it's a small world

I have to say I like the drops being right away in the California version/being in the dark/going through the cavern. It kind of feels like you're entering through a portal into the pirate world, whereas in this version the drops feel more gimmicky. I love the additions to the first room though.

Does anyone know if the man speaking French in the last Jack Sparrow animatronic is actually Johnny Depp? He *is* a fluent French speaker, it would make far more sense to have Johnny record some French lines in Jack Sparrow's voice.

After I saw this video the ride was way to short. I liked everything that is different PotC Paris. However they need to expand the ride.

Matter of opinion. While the ride is Paris might have upgrade scenes, the original is stil the best. It has a better flow and a better chronological ride through.

As a french, i've always known this version very well. When i visited Orlando Magic Kingdom i was excited to discover the American version of PoC but what a disapointment. Our European vesion is more thrilling and the story is more cohesive to me.

I Con-quer, this is way better than Disneyland's. Best still will be Disney Singapore's Pirates

The first part of this ride is awful. So bland, a lot of nothing. Definitely gets a little better at the end. The original is still the best! OG all the way!

Since Disney fired Johnny Depp (HUGE MISTAKE) Disneyland tore down all of it. No more Pirate ships, Pirates, the whole that whole part of the Pirate Adventure Land was destroyed!!! 😔😔
