Moment I saw that black flag with the skull I was instantly like, I can't wait for the Weekly Reset.

I'm really glad that Blizz released this roadmap because they are great for content creators and for the fan base.

My bet is some kind of event related to the Bloodsail Bucaneers. They've been a faction you could interact with since Vanilla WoW and one of their leaders was part of The Uncrowned in Legion. There is mention in their wiki page of them joining a Dread Admiral Nightsquall's crew and being invited to travel to the Dragon Isles to plunder in their name.

Holly was a really shining gem on the EQ team. I'm glad to see she has been given the reigns at WoW. Def in good hands.

They should make player housing as boats, with which you could travel to ports around Azeroth. Would be kinda cool.

Honestly the Troll heritage armour would make the most sense if it was your troll going through Shadowhunter trials, which would make sense considering the accolades of your champion at this point.

Considering the Gnoll theory, Dark Heart could also be a development of that. I mean, she could stored the rot in a artifact with that name and stuff

Xal'atath was so great to have as a companion through Legion. I still use it as my transmog to this day to get the whispers. I unfortunately got rid of my Eye of N'zoth back in BFA, but I am going to level a new priest and try to get it again, and to go through all the Xal'atath story again.

The timerunner thing seems like the vampire survivors game mode based off the items

My theory is that Xal’atath is a part of Azeroth. She was a purged portion of her from when the titans showed up. She considers herself a part of the void, as that is all that she is, the void half (1/6th?) of Azeroth.

Two things come to mind with dark heart. "Her heart is a crater and we have filled it" or Dark Heart thicket...the nightmare.

The skull and crossbones is a pirate themed event that sets up ports around Azeroth, maybe even in Gadgetzhan. That port has been in construction since Cataclysm. The Gadget port and Feralas could be closest port to Khaz Algar. Maybe an island exploration scenarios from your own boat that gives story hints leading to The War Within.

Draenei heritage will very likely have us visit Argus with Velen and learn of the way of Eredars

Sudden thought on "Troll Heritage Armor and Vol'jin" We were told that none of the usual forces were responsible for ghost Vol'jin. What about Azeroth..?

What made me the happiest was that Talie finally learned how to pronounce harbinger.

One thing to keep in mind about the Pandaria challenge mode sets is they mostly have animations that trigger with player abilities. Like the DK bone spikes turn blue with certain attacks, that kind of thing. So even though they look a little dated, there’s still something unique about them.

I don’t know why but something about the conversation around Deadeye and the Rot and “Dark Heart” which is probably definitely Xal, it made me wonder if satyrs would be teaming up with gnolls to make a run at the tree as part of some scheme or as a follow up if they’re involved in Gilneas somehow

Pandamonium stuff is going to be that Vampire Survivors mode, I'm dying on this hill. bonus points if those random bosses that were datamined ages ago like the Fortnite reference, Light Knight, ect are the bosses in that mode too

When I think of Timerunning it makes me think of the quest line in Thaldraszus when you go back in time to find chromie and Eternus and you’re literally RUNNING through time at one point, which I found really fun and would love to revisit that

About 10.2.6: One thing missing from Dragonflight previously announced was a harbor update. Would not be at ALL surprised to see that patch expand the harbors in Stormwind and Orgrimar, in prep for the trio of new expansions.

As someone who's main content of the game is M+ and raids, I would be really disappointed if there are no older dungeons in the M+ pool. We had all the Dragonflight ones recently, have a couple sure but add in some older ones too, gives a slightly fresher feel even if it's old content.

I think the pirate flag is for a new "holiday" type event that will involve a masquerade ball on the main floor of a giant airship. This is something they hinted at with the pirate regalias, especially the last one, the air ship captain masked set's description is a lot of fun. It could also be a timestamp for a serie of quests involving the Nightsquall, because it may become relevant in War Within? Or maybe he'll be making his grand exit to go beyond the storms with his pirate armada. Perhaps BOTH of those are even actually events that'll be interlocked. At least for the launch of the masquerade holiday.

Timerunning is that “Vampires Survivors game mode” that was leaked in a datamine. It’s that unique mini game mode that we haven’t gotten before

I have multiple sets from the original MoP challenge modes and I think they should come back! They should, however, still require you to get gold and it should be of similar difficulty to back then. This is what I want with ALL challenging content rewards, not just the ones I have or the ones I don't! They should be rare and prestigious because they are difficult to obtain, not because half the current wow population probably wasn't even born when they came out or whatever. You want to talk about evergreen content, this is exactly the sort of thing that would fit well. Bring back old challenge modes, allow you to properly sync Chromie time regardless of level, allow people to run old raids at something resembling their original challenge level, instead of the heavily neutered timewalking versions we have now (or rather in addition to them I suppose). Wow has a wealth of great content AND rewards that it has just abandoned, and it's time to see some of that getting refitted IMO.

This is completely unrelated to anything in the roadmap, but I hope some day they seperate “face” and “head” transmogs slots like they did with left and right shoulders, with most full helmets just hiding whatever is transmogs to the “face”slot, like skirts do to boots or gloves do to bracers. This would elevate transmogs to the fucking moon since so many heads are “hat and mask/glasses” combos, and plenty are just hats or just masks/glasses

Honestly, super pleasantly surprised by this. I was expecting a content drought for 8 months or so. But two entire content patches before the pre-patch, and a Q3 release window for TWW?? That's something to celebrate for sure.

I can't wait for them to reveal that the skull is actually poison zombie pirate boat-based player housing that's also a dynamic water mount (guessing dynamic water mounts would mean the boat will come with tidesages that can boost the speed or something).

Okay two things. Firstly, I think the confidence to tease something big and the "anything could happen" mindset is spot on. I feel like if it weren't a big deal, it would just be on the roadmap without any of the theatrics. Just a regular content announcement to discuss. This is different and they know it, and they know they can afford it, and it shows. I think their success keeping War Within from leaking gave them the freedom to keep more secrets, and I am here for it. I love secrets, and I love theorycrafting! Bring it on! Second, my prediction. I think it's the third neutral mercenary (or more aptly, pirate) faction we have all wanted for decades. Allow me to elaborate upon that concept. My first thought was to try to imagine what type of content is worth it's own announcement. What is worth keeping a secret to gain attention and hype over, but also only big (or small) enough for it's own ".1" update. It wouldn't be a holiday, that would be a regular announcement. I'm not on the boat (pun intended) with Player Housing, but that's mostly due to being burned too many times to be willing to let myself believe in it anymore. I think introducing a third faction that allows you access to all capitols (but maybe none of their faction rewards as a drawback?) would be just the right size for a ".1" content release. I could say so much more about why I think this is it, and possibly I'm just projecting my desires and I'm too jaded to believe in player housing.. but this is my official prediction. ♥

I would love if it's literally a patch that can be bought on the WoW shop that says "Pirates" like a crest one irons to their clothes So in essence they do release a pirates patch

There's an old TBC era concept for draenei in long flowy coats and a bunch of layers of cloth with some round metal elements to boot. We never got anything like that for them and I would love nothing more than actually having that in game finally.

Imagine the quest where you had to speed through dodging things in that chromie quest… now imagine doing that through different dungeons corridors with bosses and doing it on a time trial!

I definitely think they are sitting on player housing, but I really can't see it happening before Midnight. Part of that is speculation regarding currently unannounced/unconfirmed content for that expansion, but also because the existing world is mostly wrong for a good PH system. Some places are an exception to this, like Zandalar and Boralus, those places feel large enough to make player housing work.

Having Tali mentionning Holy as basically being the '' mvp '' couldn't be more accurate...! She is by far the best on stage presence after Metzen, SHE is our beacon of hope (... see what I did there :3 ? )

It'd be interesting if player housing was their gift to the community for the 20th anniversary. Like, whatever that event is--- it opens up housing as a bonus to whatever else we get from it, etc. Just a thought.

Surprised nobody has mentioned that "Dynamic Flight" is mentioned in War Within Pre-Patch. We already have "Dynamic Flight". This is something a lot more to it. An expansion upon Dynamic Flight. New Glyphs from Non-DF Azeroth? Ground Mounts? More mount mechanics? Let's explore this topic more. Gimme dem Holly Sideyes fam.

Pretty sure the poison flag idea is the right direction and is what they are going to be using to give Season 4 the twist. I fully expect unique affixes based on rot/poison and having some new rot afflicted versions of the raid bosses. It would be a great way to change up the feel of everything we have been doing in Dragonflight and would tie in to needing to deal with the Decatriarch that escaped perfectly.

Can we take a moment and appreciate Blizzard going full community mode. Retail is getting back on track with simplicity, great story and balance. Classic Hardcore is getting updates and being kept fresh. Season of Discovery has been absolutely mindblowing good with constant updates and tweaks. Blizz actually listnens to feedback and implements this! HOORAY! 😊

Season of discovery is my new home for wow. I havent felt this excited about wow since Legion.

I personally think we will get player housing, but it won't be until after we get warbands. I think the player housing won't be character specific, but will be essentially "warband camps" where all of your playable characters in your warband will hang out, similar to camps in BG3. They can then have lots of different rewards for people to grind as decorations for their camps, and they can also gate new camp backgrounds/areas behind renown (i.e. when you reach max renown with Iskarra Tuskarr, you can set your camp there and it will be in a snowy/icy area with tuskarr huts, when you get centaur renown max you can change the camp to be in the plains, etc.).

27:59 The challenge mode armor sets had unique effects on them that made them stand out (and still do). The order hall armor sets were toned down, recolored versions of the CM sets. They were also lacking any of the interesting effects of their CM versions. For instance, comparing the Druid CM set and the order hall set (the ones I'm most familiar with) the difference is gigantic, to the point they almost look like entirely different sets. Even to this day a CM set will stand out in the crowd. The order hall is the only time they tried repurposing the CM sets in any fashion. If the new event is some sort of challenge mode content, the old sets won't be the reward. They have already shown with the mage tower that bringing back legacy content that offers rewards based on skill doesn't mean the old rewards will be back.

I think we are getting a Ruby Sanctum style raid with Deadeye and the Rot. It would be neat if it’s in Tanaris. The rot penetrating Tanaris and Syllathis. Deadeye working with Nerubians to take over the Caverns of time.

A combination pirate themed cinematic/Gilneas cinematic with in game story content, is a good idea for catching the getting players back online. Even non subbed players see the WoW RU-vid cinematics

I'd love it if one or both of Xal'Atath or Iridikron have their fingers in 99% of everything that happens in TWW, and they evil villain moustache twirl and teleport away right at the end of the dungeon. I want one of them to make an appearance at the end of the first raid and then be the boss at the end of the next raid like Nighthold. One of them needs to be the Gul'Dan of this xpac.

Expecting the Timerunning Pandemonium to be something like all timewalking expansion dungeons active at same time, you get a random timewalking dungeon from any expac when you queue.

I knew they were saving the troll and draenei heritage armor for 10.2.7, based on the other sets we've got in Dragonflight. The troll set will most likely be based on the Shadow Hunter, going by the trend of some heritage sets being based on Warcraft III units. The draenei set could be anything. The quests will be interesting, though. We haven't had any Darkspear lore since Vol'jin's story in Ardenweald, and even that was confined to the Shadowlands. I don't think the heritage quest will be about Vol'jin, since he's risen beyond Darkspear and Horde politics. He might return for future story with Talanji though, since he's the new Loa of Kings and Queens. I think the Darkspear heritage quest will involve Rokhan and Zekhan, take place on the Echo Isles (at least partly), and involve the Loa. As for the Draenei, we recently got the Eredar customization quest. This could be a continuation. The story could involve Velen sensing the incoming threat from the Void, going back to the prophecy from the Post- Cataclysm draenei intro cinematic. It will take place in the Exodar and parts of the Azuremyst isles, but we could also visit Outland and maybe even make one last trip to Argus. There's so much story potential here.

I like the optimism, and I hope y'all are right, but we're dealing with _corporate_ confidence, not _sports_ confidence. Corporate confidence is the kinda thing that thinks expanding storage space on a phone is revolutionary and will change the phone industry. I could easily see _this_ (the roadmap, increased content cadence between xpacs) being the thing they were hyping up. I don't think we're getting player housing as a surprise anytime soon, but I hope we do.

first thing I thought of when I saw the flag was a 3rd faction independent of horde and ally that was "pirate" like, mercenaries that felt they didn't fit in either the horde or alliance now.. lead by people affected by their time in the Maw... maybe a King and Queen?

Time running reminds me of time walking, so maybe it’s related to that?
