The Austrian attack is one of the most dangerous systems a Pirc defense player can face. In this lesson, your coach will show you the way he handles it in tournaments and informal games. Likewise, you will learn the different lines and variations you should prepare and study. We will break down some of the main lines, but it is ultimately your job to pick what you like the most and study it.

Learn how to play Chess the right way from beginner to master level. National Master Robert Ramirez will take you up the pyramid by following a proven Chess training program he has been improving and implementing for over 10 years.
Benefits of Playing Chess:
- Promotes brain growth
- Increases problem-solving skills
- It exercises both sides of the brain
- Raises your IQ
- Sparks your creativity
- Teaches planning and foresight
- Teaches patience and concentration
- Optimizes memory improvement
- Improves recovery from stroke or disability
- Helps treat ADHD
Chess is an intellectual battle where players are exposed to numerous mental processes such as analysis, attention to detail, synthesis, concentration, planning and foresight. Psychological factors are also present on and off the board; playing Chess stimulates our imagination and creativity. Every single move a player makes is the result of a deep analysis based on the elements presented on the battlefield.
Chess in its essence teaches us psychological, sociological and even moral values. In a Chess game, both players start with the same amount of material and time. The fact that the white pieces move first is considered to be practically irrelevant -especially because a player typically plays one game as white and one game as black. Consequently, the final result of the battle solely depends on each player. It doesn’t matter if you win by taking advantage of your opponent’s mistakes or by simply avoiding mistakes yourself. Truth is that Chess is an extremely individual sport and our defeats can only be blamed on ourselves and no one else. And this, in the end, only benefits us because we learn to be and feel responsible for our actions and never come up with excuses to justify ourselves.
We also learn that when it comes to our victories on the board, our opponent's mistakes play a more significant role than our own skills. Let’s not forget that a Chess game without any mistakes would be a draw. This way, Chess provides us with another valuable life lesson: be humble at all times.

my rating went from 1100 to 1500 after I spent like 2 weeks memorizing all the lines and ideas of the pirc, my middle game and endgame were decent but I never had a solid opening and would always blunder like 5-10 moves in, I’ve been able to stay consistently in the 1500 range but my peak was 1572, honestly the most solid opening I’ve ever seen thank you

I love how much time you spend answering our questions in the comments, you're a gem and this channel is deserving of way more attention and subs. You're a wonderful teacher and have helped me a ton by diving in deeper into theory than some other educators on RU-vid. But you also don't go too crazy and make it seem overwhelming, it's a gift. Thank you, sir. I am constantly referring back to many of your videos now that I've actually purchased and have been studying several books. These videos are such a good go-between from books to the board.

I don't have any visual memory so I don't usually get anything out of opening themed videos, like for instance I would watch 12 hours of an opening and still only remember the first 2 or 3 moves that I knew before watching. So what I'm after is the rationale behind these moves and you don't get that much of this normally, but the videos in this series excel at their teaching and even the opening ones do. I worked my way up from lesson 11 on, and there's quite a few opening ones to come but I'm going to watch them all and not skip over them as not worthy of my time, these are all worthy, even to those of us who can neither visualize nor remember visually. I depend purely on analysis and am super happy I found this series to help me do that better!

@1968laugro
@1968laugro 3 года назад
@@NMRobertRamirez All manually, which is fine because it makes me watch the video's again and input each variation at the correct move. I'm not sure how to proceed, but I could share the study. I will obviously add variations in due time.
@NMRobertRamirez
@NMRobertRamirez 3 года назад
@@1968laugro yes, that repetition certainly helps us memorize the lines. I think that in order to share it, you have to click on "add members" and put their Lichess username. However, although I know you might not mind it, I think you should not make it public since you will be adding the specific lines you like and will play in tournaments. Again, maybe this is not a big deal to you, but keep it in mind just in case you end up showing everyone what your preparation is 😎

when I play a game and follow for example the Pirc .I love doing the computer analysis and seeing where my blunders are. of course . sometimes I realize after the fact and then I go back and look a the analysis to see where I blundered. I still end up winning the game or losing. right now I am just going through the mechanics of the opening and the variations I learn from these videos.

thaannkk you master !!! after having seen and reviewed all the lessons of pirc. I tried it in games. unfortunately my opponents opt for classic variation hehe. I won I think 19/20 games. i made a blunder in a game heheh. but what I wanted to tell you that if we understand the variants very well by playing them. we will have a lot of strategic and tactical ideas later with a very good position. I also started to read a book called (pirk alert a complet deffence agaist e4) and it is great. I've been reading it for a week with the review of your lessons and my tactics training etc. but really a big thank you !!! you are a really generous man. thank you for the section on your website and all the humble efforts you make. thank you very much master. I think if you haven't shown or taught me anything. sure I will learn things but not at this speed not of this quality. I will never forget it. ps: this poor lesson will now be seen and reviewed and reviewed and reviewed ... each position will be reproduced on the chessboard. with the cylicone board which is tortured xD and my notebook which asks me to stop because I also torture it :(

@NMRobertRamirez
@NMRobertRamirez 3 года назад
Hello Neil! Thanks a lot for your feedback. I truly appreciated! The important thing to remember is that the Czech Pirc (lesson # 51, 53) does not include g6. This one is more about trying to do e5 quickly and deploying our bishop to e7. The regular Pirc (lesson # 69, 70, 71, 74) is more about g6 and Bg7 and eventually we prepare the e5 push. The best way to get the hang of them is to watch the lessons where I am playing games with them (# 53 for the Czech Pirc and # 71 for the regular Pirc). That way you can see the plans and ideas of the opening and middlegame. Please, let me know if this makes sense 👍

Nxb5 / 3- Qa5+ . king move or Bd2 etc . and capture knight we win a pawn. their is i this four other possibilities if openent capture with other order and we win a pawn . 2 possibitities of other variations of 4 or 5 moves that is equal . and others that its blundering peace hehehe . thats why i like it so much when the games are at the beginning with lots of variations and different results if we make the wrong order of capture etc etc. i love it and i am not bored heheh thats why i like so much this opening. with classical variation. agaist 150 attack or against the austrian attack. @NMRobertRamirez
@NMRobertRamirez 3 года назад
Excellent question, Mario! You are right about that. The main question to ask ourselves is what changes when they do not develop their knight to f3? They do not have so much control over d4 and e5. So, what if we try to take advantage of it? It is recommended to play 5..., Nc6 hitting the d4-pawn and if Nf3, then Bg4. I personally like to take advantage of their lack of control over e5. So, I do 5..., e5 right away. If they do fxe5, then dxe5 and if dxe5 then, Ng4 getting the e5-pawn back and they have an isolated e4-pawn. Hope this makes sense 👍
