Hey, I'm glad the video helped,, a lot of people's tutorials are kind of hard to follow, this was a really tough move to learn but I think this breaks it down in a way that's easy to understand and not super hard to perform if you're somewhat accustomed to flying these things and that type of manner. But anyways I'm glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for checking it out I really appreciate that
Thankx Danny, you are the only one who explains what exactly we need to know, your way of showing sticks, speaking and flying is touching the goal you aim to. Keep showing us.
Nice work Danny. This is a very good breakdown on performing Piro Flips, a lot of guys bury you in technical detail when trying to explain it, which can often lead to confusion more than anything.
The piroflips has been my "obsession" for almost 20 years. Let me see if I can decipher this: a.) from normal, tail-in, go 1 CCW revolution flat, finish to tail-in b.) nose-dive 90 degrees(pointing straight down), and simultaneously go 1.5 CCW revolutoions c.) to inverted, tail-in What you call "half circle" = 1.5 revolution. Do you see that? Here's my problem. I've already spun the cylic 3x. to get to what you are doing. So, my " weird method" to go from the following: a.) Nose-in regular b.) Nose-in inverted. It only takes me a half revolution. It's stable, because it is a stop/go movement even though I could do pre-spin or revolution. I can go from a stand still:(nose in) Then all this in one motion: a.) Flip nose-down to invert b.) spin tail 1/2 revolution c.) Finish tail-in
I don't know how many hours of practice on the simulator it took me to get this down, it was a very crazy deal to learn and I remember being scared to death to tried in real life but finally I did it and it worked out okay, I probably learned it on the simulator for months before I tried it for real but practice makes perfect, I haven't flown any RC helicopters in quite a few years, my autoimmune disease has flared up really bad and I can barely stand for a long period of time or sit in the chair or anything for too long so I can't even pick something up off the ground without feeling like I just pulled out my hamstrings and my back, plus it got to be a very expensive hobby so I don't know I kind of miss flying sometimes but what can you do I guess
your welcome, if you have anything you want to learn and if i am able to do it and explain it ill make a video, just send me a message and ill see if i can make a good video for it or not..
Thanks, good instructions. Between your video, RaZa's and Maxwell's, I think you filled in some missing spots I had. I can do dirty full piros now, but half piro's I've gotten down cleaner.
yeah its not easy to learn that of for sure. when the tail faces you is about when you start the stick stir to make it flip and roll thew to inverted, same thing when you go from inverted to upright..
That trick is still hard for me. What position do you like the tail to be when you flip it. I guess easier to say when do you flip it or does it not matter?
Hi Dan, is this g6.5? I notice a whitish haze over the black parts of the blades... my g6.5 has been troubled with this problem since the .5 upgrade. Do you see this haze on many models? I see it on all but the newest EAs created for g6.5. I've tried to bring this problem to KE's attention with no response. I've also discussed it with some knowlegable members on the forum. Can't seem to get any real agreement that any problem exists. Appreciate your input, thanks.
i have not noticed, i have phoenix. i am at my friends house for a week watching his dogs, he has RF6.5. the little bit i have been flying this simulator i have not noticed any haze on the blades, i guess i have not paid much attention either, if it is there it is not that noticeable for me. next time i get on ill see if notice it or not...
if you want to teach someone pf's ya need to able to do them tidy yourself first. half piro flips do a full circle on the cyclics I don't know where you got the half circle from. its a 360 on the tail and on your elev and ail that's a half pf.
pretty sure i have a video for both of those things, if you view my channel and click on play list you should find my lesson on those things in the play list.
