- For me, these scenes are the best part of this movie. - Sound and dialogue of the last part of this video were replaced by the ending soundtrack of the movie. You can activate the subtitle button below the screen and see the lines.
My big sister's favorite movie...she was obsessed with Vin Diesel. She died on January 18th, 2023, just three weeks before her 50th birthday. I need to watch this movie again in her honor. We watched it together so many times.
What a beautiful last goodbye from sun that give a one second full daylight kiss before falling asleep, after hiding behind the ring that is partially transparent, just "annular" eclipse. Once in millennia
Thanks for putting the simulator scene together. Beautifully mounted. It's what i've been looking for for years. The way the scene evolves towards its climax, along with its theme, it's just haunting and mesmerizing at the same time. You just can't wait to see the sun fade out. Epic.
Their reactions right on the eve of the eclipse when the juveniles start swarming: - Johns is tense but keeps his cool and is pragmatic - Riddick is in awe - Paris is a bit of comedic relief as always and a bit cowardly - Shazza freaks out (mild foreshadowing for what she does in the next minute) - Caroline's reaction isn't really a focus, she's just pragmatic and Shazza's mistake/death lets us see how she (Caroline) is becoming more concerned with the remaining survivors as opposed to seeing them as expendable
I couldn’t get over on how many of those flying creatures were there. Cannibalism. They must of fought, eat,and breed each other in order for them to survive. Once they kill every living thing on the planet they only had was each other. They are the dominant species of the planet now.
It's cool because you think from all the giant skeletons that there might or must be something big to see at the end of the movie only to realize nope, they all got ate.😅
@@randomguy-xp7se While I'm not an expert with this subject, my understanding comes down to: When it comes to a solar system with 2 gravitating masses, we can create a mathematical solution to accurately predict their movements. But when we get to three bodies or more, finding the solutions are nearly impossible. Given the mass of gas giants, it would also influence the orbits of the 2 stars, so how did this planet not get ejected in to space or swallowed up by one of the stars and remain in, what appears to be, a stable orbit? Hopefully someone can clear this up or give a better explanation
They didn’t crash land on the 22nd year if you watch the movie over again or closely look at the very beginning of this clip, then you’ll see that it was the 17th year but then when Fry started messing with the system to better understand it, it beginned to move the year up to the 22nd .
in the movie there were skeletons of larger animals which is what they crashed into in the scene, later in the movie it shows those creatures are cannibals and eat each other
@@pinteromexmaster7703 If they just eat each other, then even if new births far outweigh death, the population will decrease because there is no energy being added to the system. Unless they start as some sort of larva that eats a subterranean proto-bacterial slime of sorts. Some biological processes that are powered by geothermal heat.
@@statinskill bro, who gives a fuck? Just enjoy the damn movie and stop trying make sense of a movie with flying oversized chickens that eradicate worlds? They literally are eaters of worlds.
Perhaps this planet is in a state of near total ecological collapse and the heroes were just unlucky to be present for one of the last few cycles before the predators destroy themselves?
How do they not know that eclipse was gonna happen. Me screw exploring I would have got power cells to the ship to get everything running and then when the eclipse hit I leave the planet
Anyone ever wonder why the Total Eclipse wasn't shown from the other side?? Good Movie, but a POOR DECISION made by not showing the other Giant Planet (not the Saturn looking one) on the opposite horizon blocking out the 3rd Sun on the other side. Such a Wasted Opportunity.
2:28 - 3:30 In Real life "if was possible, maybe only for people in 1000 yrs ☹" this would have to be in the top 10 of a person who's say 90 years old, top 10 of the *☆MOST REMEMBERABLE & BEAUTIFUL MOMENTS☆* in their *whole 90 years of life* 😳😧😍🥲
