Pitch Tracking with WMD C4RBN Eurorack Filter Module

Pitch tracking is a common synthesizer feature that doesn't get talked about much. It can be ultra important when filtering bass line sounds that travel a few octaves as when you are using a low-pass filter on the oscillator and you travel to a note above the frequency cutoff, the sound gets much quieter and might be non-existent. Key tracking follows the 1V/Octave signal that is controlling the oscillator, opening the filter more when the pitch travels higher.
In this video, we go how to set up a pitch trackin patch with the WMD C4RBN filter. We discuss attenuating the pitch signal and mimicking features found on classic subractive synths. We also go into using the self oscillation feature of C4RBN to create a nice sine-wave oscillator and how to turn that into a banging 808 like bass line machine.
*Be sure to listen to the Self Oscillation demo on headphones or studio monitors as the sine wave is tuned too low for laptop speakers*

These are the best type of modular videos. A generalized lesson that is very informative and can be applied to almost any other module yet demoing your own product (which happens to be awesome).

well yet another WMD video where I learn a ton from Alex while simultaneously I'm thinking "damn he's smart AF but he act super chill" the whole time srsly it's crazy how much these videos help me learn anyway it just gets more astonishing to me that WMD is closing down for now. I have,., lemme count... six of their modules in my daily case RN

Quick Question. I know the FM input is typically demo’d using an envelope and that makes 100% sense for oscillators/voices. I trying to run my Crater into C4RBN and then use 4TTEN to control filter cutoff so I can perform high-pass sweeps on the kick. When using the 4TTEN to send CV to C4RBN’s FM input I’m not hearing the cutoff change. Am I maybe doing it wrong or does the FM input not respond to CV for controlling filter cutoff?

With WMD's new production capabilities, we could realize the ultimate vision of a multimode filter in 4HP. The filter circuit is similar to the MMF, and sounds very similar in the fact that it's a nice and clean filter with stable resonance. We then added the second filter and reengineered tracking circuitry to greatly improve temperature stability. We then added a few WMD special touches like the output wavefolder and input saturator that really define the WMD sound.

Can anyone explain to me how in that first example the envelope is not attenuated and the keytracking is attenuated?

How many C4RBN did they build? 10? It is sold out for ages. My shop in Berlin tells me he ordered C4RBN but gets no feedback. Is WMD closed down already?
