I won't hate you Ian. I think this was pretty funny. Yes, Pitchfork is not always on point when it comes to reviewing music and terrible artists are esteemed and oftentimes great records are misunderstood, but Ian Cohen has been pretty fair to some of my favorite bands. The pitchfork power of attorney is who oftentimes decides the rating/dewey decimal scale, not always him, so don't hate too much. There are far more snarky and annoying writers for sure and Ian seems OK.

Great idea to make a music critic review something we both are all familiar with and have a better understand of how to review it ourselves. "It's not without its charm" is a critic's code for "I have no idea what to say, but as an authority of opinion, I'd better have something to say." I swear I've read a music critic say this before about a band. At the time, I probably thought "cool - a charming band." But were they just filling space?..
