Listening to this audio, I was able to picture James reading the script trying to flip through pages as quietly as possible. That's a weird thought I had

17 years old, having ideas to write a screenplay for a TV show. My dream is to go to Netflix and either work/pitch this idea to them, and your advice in this video has really helped show that anyone with the dedication to work hard can accomplish anything. Might come back to this next year to see how well I did idk, depends how well this does. EDIT: So, it's exactly a year later, and I'm posting an update to let people know how things have come along. I'm about 20 months now into writing the novelisation of my ideas, and hopefully it'll be out by the time I do the next update in 2024. I've also nailed down lots of bits and pieces for character development and how the plot for the pitch flows across detailed episode lengths and descriptions. I'm also currently studying Film and Media in university anyway so I can learn valuable tips and tricks for moving ahead in the future, but so far it's not been bad for a year's progress. Thanks for the love and support, and good luck to everyone else who's got other projects too. Don't give up, you will get there with time and patience.

The story of how Stephen Hillenburg got Spongebob picked up is so captivating. A marine biologist who turned a little comic strip called the intertidal zone, realized art was his true passion, created an entirely new world from that comic book, and pitched his show in a hawaiian get-up, ukulele, and a conch shell that played the theme song.

It’s amazing how this man went from making animations alone in his room, to having his own Netflix show. Truly amazing.

I just finished watching Oddballs and its amazing. The episodes are funny, relateable, and the way they exaggerate the ideas makes it even better!

I've always had difficulty writing my ideas down on paper so it's actually kinda comforting to know that I don't need to like write down an entire detailed first season or complete character descriptions and can sorta just make things up as I go along as long as I have a semi-workable bible.

James has been killing it for years. Truely an iconic part of my childhood

I really like this story and the lessons taught here. It's all very true and as stated, don't let "No" discourage you. If I remember correctly it took Dan Povenmire YEARS get Phineas and Ferb greenlit and a lot of people love that show. It just goes to show that patience is necessary and there's always a home for your show somewhere

I love this video! It's very interesting to see how everything turns out and what you have to do to help out is show everything. My sister and I decided to do a quick idea about a show. Just for fun but maybe now we can expand on it with James' help. I also really love your references! Mostly they were SpongeBob but still hilarious because who doesn't love SpongeBob. But I'm glad you got to show the world your idea.(I know stuff can change though I definitely need that part.)
