The weak sack of flesh and bone already hit, the weak sack of flesh and bone already wounded... the weak sack of flesh and bone is waiting for you to realise you failed your save, that your last wound is gone, and that you and your army of monsters are all already dead.
Tbf, the Guard can reliably handle 90% of the battles in 40k. We see Astartes saving them because they're showing up to the rare battles the Guard actually needs help in.
Honestly? True Most things, like Orks, random xenos, uprisings and the like are put down silently, be it by the quiet shot of a gaurdsmen, the unnoticed gunshot from a PDF trooper or planetary security, or quick strike from an axe of a devotee of machine god Countlesd wars occur and end by the efforts of the unnoticed, it is only when the great hordes arrive do the likes of astartes are needed
@@kostakatsoulis2922guardsmen have fought against everything. Orcs demons space marines they still win a lot of battles Sure they may lose but one loss isn't the end of the war Death corpse Kraig are willing to charge space marines of chaos It's not depending on what they're fighting. It's depending on what the guardsmen are fighting for
@@captainfordo6142 okay, but it also depends a lot on what you're. Orks? Yeah, you have a half-decent chance of coming out on top. Tyranids? Probably not. Cultists or plain rebels? Odds are pretty good unless they have some actual Chaotic support backing them.
It could be a Harlequin. Those dudes have been known to be surprisingly chill with Humans. They'll even show up on Human worlds sometimes just to perform and peace out.
In life, war In death, peace In life, shame In death, atonement We inherit a cursed bloodline, tainted by rebellion, and we will fight for the emperor, the mountains of corpses serving as sacrifices for the good of Krieg
„For all their faults your less cousins have to be respected for their defiance at the least. Look at your defiles form Mon-kheig you believe yourself their better but you are weaker in your will than all those lowly things you slay. You broke all your oaths and fell for the great enemy so easily. We didn‘t see what we did, but you knew… you new and fell willingly and blindly as only humans can. I find your kin distasteful creature, but I find you disgusting.“
You entirely missed the point of the entire game if you think warhammer isn't satire. Hell, the CREATORS OF WARHAMMER said that everyone in 40k is evil.
@@Probably_Satan_NGL Even though 40k is a satire, I think this is the one exception where ignoring that is okay. Every person on Earth deserves to feel that them being just a fallible and brittle being is what makes is great. It's one of the most inspiring notions I ever thought about, and it deserves to be spread.
@@Probably_Satan_NGLthere is good in evil acts and evil in good acts. I would say this exemplifies a more noble aspect of the Imperium. That being the selfless dedication and indomitable spirit of those who defend the Imperium with mass produced weapons and disposable equipment. For the safety and lives of those you love, how much would you sacrifice?
@@ChadVulpesthe indomitable human spirit is our greatest strength and one that we should scream defiantly into the void of a cold and uncaring universe
I would kill for a Lamenters series fighting desperately aside the guard to save every last man possible. Only for them to sacrifice themselves to save the lamenters.
As someone with a guard army is nice to see there aren’t only Krieg animations, although it’s weird to me that some people forget that, at *minimum*, men and women are enlisted.
In a world of super soldiers, undead Egyptian space terminators, 1000 year old elven space wizards, 8ft tall mushrooms bred for war and literal daemons, the most fearless and badass warrior is the normal human caught way outside their depth. What makes them special isn’t their strength or powers, it’s their choice to stand defiant against the likes of gods and monsters. They are weaker, and that makes it all the more special when they win.
"For 10,000 years the hearts of men have stood united against a galaxy that despises them for no reason, save that they have the AUDACITY not to lay down and DIE." Damn... that hits... that hits so fucking hard.
I immagine the scene being a chaos astartes moking a salamander on his guradsmen allies, and the astartes is heard by everyone on the battlefield, and pointing out that they are in the same war but with the difference being that the astartes are made for this, humans are not, but they still fight together. I just love immagining an angel of the emperor say that he believes in you, every guardsman on that battlefield woult turn into a Primarch on the spot.
The Emperor of Mankind is the Light and the Way, and all his actions are for the benefit of mankind, which is his people. The Emperor is God and God is the Emperor, so it is taught in the Lectio Divinitatus, and above all things, the Emperor will protect...
I know we already have a couple 40k games but it feels like none truly hit it home at least for me I think we need one where you play as a space marine or a Kraig soldier and your part of a army not turn base not whatever you call dark tide something like bolting a first person shooter but on a bigger scale I’m not sure about all the details but something like helldivers I suppose or ryson son of Rome
Humans are the most efficiently built intelligent organism possible, the greatest things ever if you will. Despite what some may try and argue, not even a machine can compare to the potential of the human body
The original dialogue is taken from a warhammer reddit thread. It started with an anon playing a Chaos Marine mocking the Guardsman and the Imperium, and the above speech is from another anon being the Guardsman.
You would laugh.. Monster But let me remind you within that weak sack of meat and bone, uncared for by his god and wept for by none.. Beats a heart.. A human heart that carries with it the strength and courage of all mankind within the sack of meat in sconce The hope, The will, And the fury of every man women and child from every corner of the Imprerium, Within that weak sack of meat festooned in thin armor and weapons only powerful in numbers BEATS THE HEART OF A MAN, and FOR 10,000 YEARS The hearts of men have beaten strongly in defiance of your so called powers, for 10,000 years the hearts of men have stood united against a galaxy that despises them for no reason say that they have the audacity not to lay down and die FOR 10,00 YEARS, YOUR BLACK CRUSADES HAVE BEEN PUSHED BACK, BEATEN DOWN AND MADE A MOCKERY OF BY WEAK SACKS OF FLESH WITH CHEAP WEAPONS AND DISPOSABLE EQUIPMENT. That weak sack of flesh that so gleefully mock is no super soldier, no immortal warrior No creature cast by chaos like YOU!.. He is a man, an Imperial Guardsman, drawn from some forgotten corner of the Imperium to fight his species and for the safety of the people he loves, He's a factory worker, a farmer, a storekeeper, a father, a brother, a son, a mere man.. and against creatures like you teaming and numberless powered by a very will of a thirsting god.. HE HOLDS THE LINE LINE, and he has held the line for 10,000 years.. So.. What's your excuse..? Monster
I can imagine a non-corrupted Man of Iron that's still kicking saying this to a CSM while basically shaking off Bolter rounds. Which sounds rad as hell, ngl
In battle, I shall take the lives of ten traitors before I shall be allowed to rest. The curs were who damned Krieg to it's fate, and me to mine. I shall deliver their punishment in kind, or face my Commissar's blade. For every day of my worthless life that I toil in the factorums or fight on our blackened fields, I near my absolution in His eyes. To give my life for Him is to cleanse myself of the sins of my forefathers. My only purpose is to die in the name of He who our forefathers had forsaken so long ago. My body is as expendable as a bullet, and I shall pave the way to victory. Over the hills we shall march and in every battle we shall maintain our lines. In His eyes, our cleamency can only be bought through the sacrifice of us sons of Krieg, on the fields of mankind's struggles. We are not heroes; we are only the tool to see ends gained. Our blood greases the cogs of war and our bodies fuel the machine's vessel. My body shall be laid to rest within the fields of war, as had those of millions of men before me. A shell hole shall be my grave, and the blasted mountains shall form my headstone. No man, from the enlistees of the Hives to our highest general, is worthy of any other fate. All my family works to see Krieg one day freed of its sins, when He sees fit that we have been absolved of the Council of Traitors' sins. Until then, our lives shall be spent creating the arms that our brothers shall use or to die for Him. Our bodies are expendenable for our home's exoneration. In His name, we shall fight. In His name, let none survive. In His name, we shall die. In life, war. In death, peace. In life, shame. In death, atonement.
