@@OsmanCarim Hey dude ! how did you manage that ? saw a video where a guy upgraded the fan but it didn't do much and it sounded the same ? I have 2x of them now and would be very keen to use them for narrative work too . Hope you see this message and would be able to help out. would be much appreciated .
Hey Leighton. I picked mine up yesterday and also immediately noticed the pretty in your face fan! I managed to open it up with no difficulty and have ordered a replacement noctua fan. I'll let you know how it goes. I might also do a video of the process if I have the time!
Yea man! It takes a standard sized 92mm PC fan. The one that's used in it is pretty terrible quality. Only issue is the connection is slightly different, but an adaptor cable sorts that out. Will do.
Is the fan too noisy for interviews with a shotgun mic or a lav? I was about to get one of these lights as well, but not if they make too much noise. Thanks for the review!
I was looking at these and forgot about them and got distracted by aputure, but i think for the price I will go wit these as they seem to be brighter..
I can't speak for the aputure light but that what what I was comparing it to and in the end took the plunge with the cheaper option and I've been really impressed so far. I do like the look of the 300d so will try and get my hands on that when it arrives.
Great video! I'm currently looking into a few single chip lights that aren't Aputure money, so this really helped! Would love to know if it's still in use :)
