While it may feel like a surprise to many people that Mikelia would be treated as a(n only) toxic couple on the list, this indeed shows how underhated he really is. Probably because of Mike’s misogyny including a (probable) list of ex-girlfriends (I wouldn’t even be surprised if he even had Mrs. Tuskmon in Monsters at Work as either an ex-girlfriend or an ex-wife before she had Tylor with Bernard) he treated like objects he could cheat on, lie to and forget dates of instead of people to love beyond their looks, so with that said, not only could he be a toxic friend to Sulley and Boo, but because he’s a highly undermentioned incel (probably because of the good reputation the media inflicted on him for two decades), he could also treat Celia like a prize to be one over and lie to so he could lose her. Thank God he changed his ways int he third act and was likeable everywhere else (Monsters University and most of Monsters at Work), because the world certainly doesn’t need characters we’re supposed to like that have hero complex/nice guy syndrome.

Hate to say it, but is it bad I actually always liked Randall more than Mike as a kid? I mean, don't get me wrong, I found him incredibly funny with how he'd get mad or do something by accident, but personality wise, I just always preferred Randall. Mike goes and gloats about how he's the best and will beat Randall, Randall just says things will be done and that he already is the best while keeping an alternate secret motive. If their roles had been reversed and Mike was the bad guy, Mike would've most certainly given his evil plans away by gloatng about them. Mike was just so about himself for most of the film, he would talk about himself to the point where Sully even was visibly annoyed. Randall mocking and teasing Mike I would say is not so much mean, its kind of what Mike deserves. Randall was showing Mike that his little self-gloating talk doesn't get under his skin.

@@torytellstalesmike’s boasting and bragging is obviously a defense mechanism for how small he is. He isn’t the biggest monster, or the scariest monster, which is the shinning status every monster wants. Mike doesn’t have anything else going for him so he has to brag and boast about how smart he is. He’s self conscious about his height and the only way he sees he’s of value is by boasting about it. It’s kind of sad really.

It could have been worse, in the commentary they said they originally had an idea for Celia's home to be filled with the statues of her old boyfriends that she'd turned to stone.

I 💯% disagree. Not on them as a couple, but on them being the ‘only’ one to ever have a beautiful relationship. There is Wall-e and Eve, Bob and Helen Parr and Hector and Imelda, all of whom are also beautiful relationships. I really don’t know where you are coming from.

But judging the ones who had a closer relationship since childhood, Carl and Ellie are the ones who knew each other since they were children and had a deep committed to be friends and go to paradise falls together(they even cross each other's hearts). Even when they were seniors, Carl still kept his promise to Ellie to take her to paradise falls even though she died. He was still committed to take him and her to paradise falls--no matter what--now that's a beautiful relationship and a commitment no other couples could ever make.

Actually her main (and hidden) purpose was to find the plant only in order for it to be destroyed. Yea her directive was to "bring back the plant so humans can return to live on Earth". However think about it: who sent Eve to Earth? AUTO, the guy literally controls the whole ship and keeps it functional. Why would AUTO want to find evidence of life on Earth? So he can destroy them ofc and eternally prevent the return of humanity to Earth (cuz of the secret A113 directive)

Mr. & Mrs. Carl & Ellie Fredericksen🥇 WALL•E & EVE 🥇(can’t wait for them to have a daughter known as EVE Jr. or maybe “NEVE”) Luca & Julia ❌ (they’re just friends, if anyone even feels the need to envision them together as a couple, then they’ll have to wait until, say, the post-1950s when they’re adults) Woody & Bo Peep ❌ (never been a Bo Peep guy but I do love Woody and think that even if Pixar made “Pride” (yes, that is Woody’s last name), then it would (or at least should) turn out to not be the disappointment Lightyear turned out to be) Buzz Lightyear & Jessie ✅ (ngl, I prefer Jessie and pretty much every other Toy Story character over Bo Peep, everyone from Toy Story 4 (except for Gabbie Gabbie, Duke Caboom and Bunny & Ducky, those guys are at least interesting, credit where credit is due to TS4) and Lightyear) Bob Parr/Mr. Incredible & Helen Parr/Elastigirl/Mrs. Incredible: ✅ in 1 & ❌ in 2 (it would have been an incredible duology of the sequel weren’t so sexist to Bob Parr! Btw, I respect your opinion if you like Incredibles 2, but I LOVE the original!) Marlin & Coral ✅ However, their romance really isn’t the main focus of the movie. It’s how heartfelt and amazingly animated (except for the humans (Darla Sherman is adorable), but then again, this is an early 2000s CGI film) Lightning McQueen & Sally Carrera 🥈 Violet Part & Tony Rydinger ❌ (the idea of Violet having a crush on Tony was a lot more naturally handled in the original. In the sequel, however, they pretty much flanderized her her a boy-crazy stereotype of teenage women. She’s just lucky Tony was nice enough to decide to remember her dates even though romance isn’t his big focus in life.) Alfredo Linguini & Colette Tatou: Just got better by time. Tow Mater and Holley Shiftwell: Run before the bad man abuses you! - Todd in the Shadows to Holley about Mater Hector & Imelda: Great movie, but the couple really should have been worked out a century ago. Flik & Princess Atta: Atta girl… as a platonic couple. Mike & Celia: Imagine the slaps from Archie Sonic Comics issues 134 (Sally to Sonic) & 172 (Fiona to Tails, which, btw, was a lot more called for to prove how much of a toxic girlfriend Fiona Fox really was) and how hard the slaps there were compared to the slap Celia gave Mike Wazowski. Well, I think she slapped his huge round face *way* too gently because Mike really was flanderized to begin with even though he never was anywhere else!

I'm glad I gave that movie a watch last year. I tend to avoid watching movies these days even before the pandemic struck, but damn that ending will always have me in tears

I think it's in the right place though, as despite Hector's repentance, he DID abandon his family. I like that the movie doesn't change this: he still did the thing, he just legitimately regrets it and has grown since then. The relationship has been both healthy and toxic at different points in time.

There a lot of RU-vid videos about it but some examples are Luca being found out and being sent away (something lgbtq+ youth face), Luca and Alberto wanting to run away from Luca's oppressive parents together, Alberto revealed himself and tried to make Luca also "come out" in a way, they also discuss being different and having to find good people that accept you (a very big thing for lgbtq+ youth). Eh, I feel like Gray Area should be Gwen and Trent or Harold and Leshawna, maybe even Owen and Izzy. Alejandro and Heather would be unhealthy though. They care for each other, but only half of the time, as they are not afraid to yell or hurt each other.

Shrek and Fiona would definitely be one of the top 3 healthy spots. They may started off rocky and it reaches a boiling point in 4, but man the two really love each other and go through hell and high water to be with one another despite MANY others that try their damnest to keep the two apart. The reason why Shrek 2 is sooooo good because Shrek in particular was willing to do anything to be with Fiona even make himself a human

As for most powerful heroes, definitely Po and Metro Man (Po pretty much becomes a god by the third movie and Metro Man is pretty much Superman lol)
