1. Ember and Wade being able to touch is based in real-life science. It's called the Leidenfrost effect, which is when water like Wade touches a hot surface like Ember, it creates a layer of steam like the one you see when they first touch which acts as an insulator for Wade, keeping him from vaporizing and by extension, Ember from getting extinguished. 2. All the things the fire people touched that didn't burn up didn't burn up because they were non-flammable. While we're on the subject of that matter, all the clothes of the elementals are custom-made for their element. Air people wear cotton because it's light and they need to fly. Earth people have the plants that grow on them as their clothes or just wear cotton like the air people. Water people wear water-proof clothing so that their clothes don't wet. Fire people wear literally the only things that won't burn up with them wearing: chainmail and stained glass which is able to withstand their high temperatures. 3. The reason Ember's bubble started getting smaller way before 20 minutes were up was because the top of her head touched the top of the bubble. You can visibly see that happen and you can audibly hear her say "ow". 4. Just because Wade is water doesn't mean that water can't inconvenience him like how it washed him away into a pipe. 5. The conflict between Ember and her dad arose from miscommunication, not any sort of malice from either side. Ember believed that she was obligated to repay the sacrifices her parents made for her by fulfilling his dream of taking over the shop and her dad just assumed that she wanted to take over the shop because she never showed any signs of wanting otherwise.

This film opened 29 million, and ended up making 496million in the box office; more than Puss in Boots, more than both Spiderverse films in the international box office, more than How To Train Your Dragon. What a run! Not to mention opening on Disney+ bigger than Soul and Turning Red which were direct to Disney+. Elemental is the biggest original animated film since 2018.

@@TheKristianHarloff Agree but there's more to that; Pixar's budgets are falsely inflated; they even include overhead and executives' salaries. That number is basically the whole studio's spreadsheet according to Pixar's president interview with Variety a few months ago. This movie made Disney a lot of money; take Disney+; it is a huge streamer among box office studios, they pay Pixar from their revenue for their films scaled to viewership, where do you think these Disney+ losses come from? they pay studios for that content (Marvel, Pixar, Lucasfilm....etc). Disney always makes more money from their films than other studios cause they own 100% of the IP; compare that to Mario, Barbie or Sony's Spiderman films, they only have filming rights but everything else is not theirs; licensing, merch, gaming, parks...etc. Just look at Global Licensing Report 2023 list: compare Disney's numbers to WB, Universal, Mattel: Disney retails 61bil vs Universal's 10bil, WB's 15bil and Mattel's 8bil: www.licenseglobal.com/rankings-and-lists/top-150-leading-licensors

It was funny, but I wanted a little more serious to it only because of how different this movie was from others like it. Particularly, the emotional things with the water kid. I love how this movie dealt with anger in such a non traditional way. But the porkys like comedy was still cool.

Ever noticed Disney didn't release any sequels since 2019? when only known IP and sequels did well in the box office? only known IP was Lightyear, but that one is a spin-off, not a prequel. *Pixar: 2019's ToyStory4 then Onward, Luca, Soul, Turning Red, Lightyear, Elemental. 2024's Inside Out2 will be the first sequel since 2019 *Disney Animation: 2019's Frozen2 then Raya, Encanto, Strange World, Wish. 2024's Mufasa will be the first prequel/sequel since 2019 For comparison: Universal's original animated film is Teenage Kraken last summer; it became DreamWorks worst performing film. Their upcoming Migration is tracking less than half of Wish.

I've never seen the movie either the last Pixar movie I watched was Toy Story 4 and that was about it I really didn't even care for that movie or the other movies such as Up, any of the cars movies, the Good Dinosaur, Monsters University, Brave, and Onward I felt like after Toy Story 3 Pixar lost their touch in my opinion I just really didn't like any of those movies that I mentioned to me I didn't understand why they made a Toy Story 4 that movie to me was a complete waste the story to me didn't land in my opinion. I just can't into Pixar anymore the only thing I really don't get is why wasn't there a Bugs Life 2 movie they teased it at the end credits of Toy Story 2 and then nothing happened with that movie they made every other sequel except for Bug Life and that's a crime.
