This was the best camera comparison I've ever seen. I think it was super helpful having two people to be able to discuss the comparison. Great format too.
Hmm.... You know I can tell many things I know about you: » U r reading comment section. » U r a human, u have a brain. » U r using youtube. » Now you're thinking what nonsense is this... But in actually it is common sense. « U can not touch all your teeths from ur tongue. » Now u r trying to do statement & you are able to do it. » U have not noticed that I have putted one arrow in different direction. » Now you're going to look that arrow. » U have a small smile on your face. Finally sorry for this pakau topic but i want your sweet smile... I love u readers... (Thanks for your valuable time) If you enjoy the comment plz do "savscribe"to my channel... Apple sheep talk like they've had ultrawide for years lol. Literally just got it, along with being the last company to offer a night mode.... I wish the Pixel did have ultra-wide, but to be honest the last 2 phones I had with ultra wide lenses, I hardly used the feature.
@@vitokombattalk6220 your telling me to get a life but you literally took the time to tell me. as if imma be like "oh shii you know what? He's right". I just pointed out that they say yeah a lot in the video. No reason to insult people man
Me too... damn, what happend Google? after 2&3 Succes, the start of P4 is weak af. I know is all about soft so they can change many thinks but Man... And that video recording??? Iphone is so close Samsung right now, and Pixel is so close... Nokia 3210. Ishhhh.
As a long term Pixel user I'm very impressed about the quality of the Iphone, even if there are still things I really appreciate on the pixel. Both phones are really nice, but theres still a big gap between the prices of these products which aren't mentioned in the video! Thank you guys for doing this camera comparison together!!
The third picture where David was looking out of the window, actually pixel's focus was outside whereas iphone's was inside. That's why more details inside and less details outside with iphone and vice versa with pixel.
Wow yeah good eye. At first I guessed right but then I looked more closely and sorta preferred the iPhone pic. I figured it could have been something like that but didn't really see it.
Another great Camera comparison video by the one and only... Supersaf🔥 It keeps getting better. Great job guys👍 Hey Marques, I'm coming for that shirt.
@@22chachalaca can you elaborate your statement? Please keep in mind that I am not a fan of any OS, I am thinking of buying a new phone, and the only choices are Pixel or iPhone, but I still cannot decide if Android or iOS
I think there are other good options for Android users. The OnePlus 7 Pro or the 7T are amazing phones with great battery life and the latest Qualcomm's processor. Cameras are the weakness of those phones but if that's not a major concern, then they are totally worth it. One of the top things I look on a phone is the camera, alongside with great battery life and outstanding performance. I know Android and iOS have their differences, but at this point I don't care, they are both great OSs that offer awesome features. I'm planning to switch to the iPhone 11. I've been an Android user for years, I've always preferred this OS only because of the customization features and the integration of Google in almost everything (including the assistant), but if that has to compromise all the other things I said, then it's not worth it anymore. I'm writing this comment from my Nexus 6P from 2016 (the year I bought it). PS: of course this is my opinion, I know there are people who thinks differently. So, please feel free to share yours.
Yup. Great phone ... Not for me, but I'm impressed. If/when they add usb-c with proper quick charge and remove the notch I'd consider. Google really disappointed this year.
Yes, for me too, quite interesting. I always prefered Samsung till Pixel 2, but this year iPhone is the best probably. But I don't buy a smartphone only for camera, so I'm sticking with android still.
The iPhone has SERIOUSLY good noise reduction! It is amazing to me. Next that stabilization is insane! This makes the iPhone THAT much better for video. I love it
@ Brandon Hemoi Yes, I was having that same experience a few times, afterwards it was the iPhone that got me in love with. Greetings from Belgium 🇧🇪 ✌️
25:57 You missed that the Pixel was stabilizing to the ground level as you can see that the background buildings are not moving on Pixel but it's focused on to the face on Iphone
@@justinpocock883 That's not how stabilization works. If you use a gimbal or any accessory for stabilization it stabilizes for the ground. Because that's what stabilization is.
Duong Trung Seems like people like you aren’t satisfied unless there is a visible exterior design change every single year. Oh wait, every phone fails to do that but you only focus on iPhones. Bias to the max
I'm a long time Android user, but this year the iPhone seems really good. Never thought I'd say this, but I would probably buy an iPhone 11 Pro over the Pixel 4
@@Davidsworldtravels Likewise. And poor video. Shocking lapses from the Pixel development team. I moved from iPhone to the 2XL and am likely to migrate back. Big disappointment.
I'm so disappointed in pixel 4! iphone killed it this year. I have an iphone 8 plus but I was waiting for the pixel 4 to come out to upgrade, but after seeing this video comparison I dont know
Sydney Colbert Just buy a Note 10+ or wait for S11, cameras have reached their limit of being meaningful at this point, cuz there's almost no difference. There's more to a phone than a camera now. I just said Note 10 because of the design being beautiful, but u get the point. Just buy one without caring that much for the camera.
Lukas Gröndahl what on earth are you even talking about? I'm not a snapchat user, but even in this comparison Mkbhd preferred more of the daylight pictures on Pixel than iphone. The phones that are gonna be coming in the next months are probably gonna do great things too and my point is that there's a limit of color accuracy and stuffs like that. You can't be more accurate (in terms of color I mean) than a color accurate phone tho, that's what I mean(maybe 1 percent but that's not a reason to choose a phone for a reasonable person) . As we reach the limit it just loses its meaning to compare them. So I'd advise to get the phone for different specs at this point.
Lukas Gröndahl Alright, I'm not a snapchat user as I said, but if you're buying your phone for snapchat and if you're not doing anything wrong on Android for it to use the main camera, then go for it obviously. But I was talking about the general use case of the camera and as I haven't seen any reviewer to talk about the snapchat quality of a phone either. So I don't think an average buyer would consider that as a thing. From the look of it, what you said looks pretty much the software issue in the app tbh but I may be wrong so please don't bash me for that. My point was about the comparisons of these types of videos are just getting useless, not particular apps, so yeah 😊
This is an extremely good video. Although I don’t watch a lot of tech videos, I’m subscribing. Very informative and no bias. I appreciate the work you’ve put in it.
Really really appreciate this one! Particularly for being brutally honest in comparing both devices, it's one of the most comprehensive the best comparative analysis/video I've ever seen! Great Job! My score overall Photos Pixel - 9/10 iPhone - 8/10 Video Pixel - 8/10 iPhone - 10/10 Like if you agree
That Otaku Guy I guess..I love the Pixel’s cameras but in low light situations the iPhone makes better photos for sure. In any case this can only positive story because now the other companies have to improve their own strategy!
Pixel definitely takes the cake for day shots but no super wide on the pixel and night mode is better on the iPhone as well as selfies, so I'd prefer to have the iPhone
Thanks guys. Not a normal subscriber of this channel (not just a hardware nerd (nerd used as a good term) but have some areas of interested) but really enjoyed the format of this video and the discussion. Maybe not what you want to hear but will definitely be back next year for the Pixel 5 v iPhone 12 Pro video. One thing I'm a little interested in and know this would make it harder and in some cases wouldn't be any different but have been reading a lot of "Why not just get the iPhone 11 that is cheaper then the Pixel" comments but all the Photo comparisons I have seen are verses the Pro. Throwing in iPhone 11 photos into the mix might be intersting for those that think the 11 could be an alternative. Just a thought. But really enjoyed. #KeepUpTheGreatWork #TeamPixel
Pixel is really disappointing this year; it doesn't live up to the hype at all I myself don't like Apple's greed n closed ecosystem, but I gotta give it to iPhone for its amazing performance this year, even better than Samsung in overall
I've been watching your iphone vs pixel camera comparison videos for years now. You and maybe one or two others are who I wait for reviews from because you do a great job, but this video blew the rest away. Having two peoples' opinions AND the why AND not revealing which phone took each picture initially made this the best camera comparison video I've seen ever, this is an EXCELLENT video.
@@paterstrother8242 Mate 30 Pro is really far behind, sorry to say. Lagging behind both in sharpness and obviously colours, as well as dynamic range and consistency.
Iphone has the best camera's this year along with amazing battery life, and finally included a faster charger, just missing usb type c and a new design for 2020, pixel this year still a great phone but dropped the ball with small battery with 90hz display, no ultrawide and less wide on the front camera aswell compared to last year's pixel.
I like this format. You should do this more often. It's nice to first guess which one is which without being subjective from the beginning. Because let's keep it real, some people while instantly gravitate towards Apple or Android if they know the models. So great video. Would love to see more
Please, do it again as a team, it was very interesting and fun. I would have loved to get included the Samsung Note 10+ or S10+, because in terms of allround package, camera consistency and video they are also quite strong.
@@musicfan970 I did a comparison from my pixel 2 XL and my cousin's galaxy s10 and my photos were definitley nicer. Samsung has a very unsaturated picture and portrait is much better than live focus or whatever it is on the Samsung
Dethroning Pixel as the best camera (sad) And crowning the iPhone as the best new all-rounded camera (it deserves it) Actually worth this collaboration Keep it up guys and thaanks
You forgot "I didn't bother with that test since iPhone can't do that", while taking every chance possible to show an example of the iPhone doing something the Pixel couldn't lol. I mean atleast *try* to sound unbiased😂 .
2019 offerings are so much closer in terms of quality. Regarding selfies, I hate the agression of the Pixel and its strange skin tones, so I’d definitely prefer the iPhone.
This was a great comparison! I hope you and MKBHD can collaborate on an overall review video...I think both of you would also prefer the iPhone 11 Pro Max for its outstanding battery life.
Vladimir Budžar marquess is lying when he chose the pixel. 80% of the times he chose a photo thinking it was the pixel and it ended up being the iPhone.
The amount of true knowledge here of both camera systems is the best on RU-vid. You are both so important because you really understand the history and development of these devices and know your stuff - hands down. Thank you both for all your hard work. It helps. Still I'm an Android guy. Many are Apple only. So it's kind of a strange comparison in way. I don't know many people who say, "Should I buy an iPhone? Or Android phone?" They have already been plugged into an ecosystem. And I don't believe many will change their minds based on the camera. For me, since I'm in the market for a new phone, I'm going with the OnePlus 7 Pro. Massive sale for Black Friday. Can't be beaten. I've owned the Pixel 2 XL the past 2+ years. So it's going to be different - but I am ready for a change. Hopefully when I get ready to make a decision the next time (probably 2 years away), Google will have their act together. The Pixel just comes up short in everything but the camera.
For me, I love the fact that my iPhone can send high res videos via iMessage. That’s one thing that I hate about my galaxy s10. Records great vid but I can’t text or or email it if the files too large
...I just got the iPhone 11 Pro Max, I've never seen such amazing quality in photographs and particularly in video, it blowed my eyes away... I thought that Samsung's Note 10 Plus was amazing buy the iPhone just blew it out... I'll get this Pixel 4 XL to see how it is and because I believe that they have the very best Android experience and this one looks very beautiful in Orange... and if it gives me great quality pics, can't say no to that. Great review guys! Thank you.
I'm a Samasung fan I have the washer and dryers and tv and stove and microwave. Also the S10 plus 1 tb of storage. I have the best of the best. This phone is a beast.
Maochan81 I switched to the (regular) iPhone 11 from using stock or near stock android for about seven years. Honestly, the things I thought I’d miss about Android, I find I am not missing as much, and I am enjoying iOS more than I expected. iOS definitely more boring than Android, but I think it’s pretty well organized. And in addition to taking great photos, the camera UI is like a breath of fresh air. Toggling between modes seems a lot quicker and more intuitive on iOS. Wasn’t expecting that.
@@RoyalFizzbin I understand some people might really like it. I have the latest iPad mini, but honestly i don't like the OS at all. I just have to live with it due to some music apps not being available on android. Therefore i know i want only android on my phone.
Mark Wen true. He is very reluctant to praise the iPhone or just say very few words about it. While trying to cover up for the pixel even if it didn’t do as good, and when its slightly better than the iPhone, he tries to compliment it as much as he can. He seems very biased.
Actually it's the opposite. He wanted to say, I'm a pixel boy any day. I'm gonna buy new phone soon. If i had to only choose for the camera I'd choose iPhone but i want android so looks like im going for pixel 4
Very informative video and nice setup. You covered guys a lot of scenarios, I missed though a comment on video with low light or large dynamic range. Great work overall!
