Pixel 7 & Pixel 7 Pro Review | The Ideal 2022 Android Flagship

This is the FOURTH phone I have booked after watching the reviews from Ranjit. Moto Z2 Play & Samsung A52S 5G for me, and One Plus Nord and Pixel 7 for my parents. This is the only channel on Indian RU-vid that I can trust without worrying about those obviously paid but undisclosed reviews. Thank you, Ranjit sir.

I am using Pixel 7 pro for about 2 weeks now and what you have said is absolutely true especially the scrolling issue which comes randomly. As a user of this phone i completely agree. Kudos for your truthful review. But i have one small difference in opinion on the stereo speakers is IMO it could have been slightly better though when connected to headphones its simply super. Regarding the battery life i can give an example. I just charged the battery to 100% which took 1.5hrs and i started watching this video which is 21 min long and i am typing this comment and still my battery is at 100% which is really good. Ideal drain is also really good. It looses 3-4% during sleeping time in night. But when using camera then the battery loose bit faster but can't complain on that. This is my experience with P7P...

Not having 256GB was the nail in the coffin for me. Hopefully they release that variant in India. For a power user, which is many of us now, 256GB is a must nowadays.

Great review. I've been using my Pixel 7 Pro for over 10 days now. It's an amazing phone. Sure, I did come across some minor UI bugs but with my experience of using Google phones from last 7 years, I'm sure they're going to fix them via updates. So, that's not something to be worried about.

Gr8 review. I got the 7 pro. I was using pixel 2xl and switched to s21 ultra . S21 ultra had bad overheating issue specially when using cam and it was laggy at times. So went back to pixel family

Some other reviews from India had a comment on slow data speed while using this phone when it compares to other Android phones in this range. They are saying it is because of the modem which pixel uses. Would like to hear any such feedback

The biggest downside is the mail-in method for warranty claim for pixel. And it's worth mentioning

3 cons that I personally feel are: 1️⃣ No charger in the box. Atleast they could have given 65W charging support. 2️⃣ No 256 GB variant. 3️⃣ Lack of wide spread service centers across the nation. Atleast one service center in each state is required... Hopefully these get solved in coming years...🤞 Hit Like 👍 if you agree...🙋

I'm little concerned with their service especially in small towns! But really a device that one should use in their lifetime

Hi Ranjith, this is from a pixel 6 user, bought the device past July. I am extremely happy to tell you that none of the issues you mentioned are applicable anymore, google seems to have fixed it for the most part. Great review though!

I have been using pixel 7 pro for 10 days now. Trust me it's absolutely amazing. I had pixel 2 which is still working fine. Then I used iphone 12 which turned out to be a bad experience due to its sudden freeze, faulty receiver etc. I am glad I stuck with my pixel. Superb phone.

I was extremely tempted to buy the Pixel 7 this year as it's an amazing smart phone, probably the best in the price range. However, two things held me back: 1. Slow charging. Can't wait for more than an hour to charge my phone from 0 to 100. 2. Not having a 256 GB variant. 128 GB is simply not enough at that price point. Hopefully, the next Pixel will have fast charging support and at least a 256 GB variant so I can buy my first ever Pixel.

I am fine with pixel 7 actually, but I'll be getting 7 pro just for 120htz because I am used to it (OnePlus 8T). I am satisfied with this review as usual. Furthermore, I am glad I ordered 7 Pro already. Ranjit opinion does like final word to me about any device.

I am using Pixel 7 Pro from last 5 days and in just these 5 days, there are so many small scratches I can notice on the screen. I absolutely love the phone. The camera, battery for me and the android 13 experience is best Ive ever used. I like it way more than OneUI . But yh the screen is scratched very very easily. So better use a screen guard or protector

Awesome Review. I was going to buy Pixel 6a but I increased my budget and went for Pixel 7 in Lemon Grass color. And now After watching your review I am happy with the purchase. Can't wait to get it delivered soon. I also wished they would have launched 256GB variant as I would have definitely gone for that version of the phone coz 1 it is a premium smartphone and 2nd I would definitely keep it for at least 4 years so must need 256GB storage seeing how good the cameras are and how much I like to click. 128 will have to do. Very much exited to be the owner of best Pixel yet and see how my experience goes for the first time with a real flagship phone. I will definitely do a review owner experience on my channel.

Thanks Ranjit. I was waiting for your review before taking a decision to buy vanilla Pixel 7, not Pro. I still have a couple of queries. 1. Is there any modem issues? How about the network reception and internet speed? 2. Also, does using dual SIM cause extra battery drain on vanilla Pixel 7, not pro. 3. I barely do gaming, but I consume a lot of data. specially GPS outdoors. I mean normal day to day tasks, with a little browsing, youtube and outdoor GPS and few calls and IMs. Does that cause overheating?

A12,L& A13 have an annoying issue where when r u mute the call while calling then the profile ( mute ) button automatically gets hide , need a reboot for fix 😑

Amazing review Ranjit! I too am really happy with my Pixel 7 Pro. A few cons that I noticed 1. The Auto rotate function is kinda buggy, sometimes the Twitch or RU-vid videos turn into a small half-cut window and I need to close the App to fix it. The minimised window works well on Samsung and One plus devices. 2. Even if you have the Extreme Battery saver mode set to Never, it still gives you the notification to switch it on below 10% battery and if you do switch it on by mistake, its a hassle to switch it off. FYI : it does not switch off just by turning to "Never" option. 3. The scrolling issue, as you correctly pointed out it is inconsistent, sometimes for Apps like Twitter, Reddit it does act strange. Secondly, since I have small hands I cannot switch the Instagram stories with my right thumb. I need to use my left hand to switch the windows. 4. The clear all button for the background Apps, is in the end of all the App windows. It should be right in the beginning or at the bottom like in the One Plus devices. 5. Fingerprint does not work if your fingers are dirty. You need to clear the dust from the screen for it to work. I think apart from the above, the phone is a monster and gives the user a seamless stock android experience.

Hey Ranjit love your reviews. I bought the Pixel 7 in Germany and had to return it back because of extreme off-axis colour shift in the light mode. Any app that has a white background, such as gmail or chrome has a yellowish hue at the centre when looking directly at it and a blueish to pinkish hue at the top third and bottom third. This is something that annoyed me a lot. I feel that the display is subpar and I believe google knows this too, thats why it ships with the dark mode on. I would like you to bring attention to this issue if possible.

Sir, please clarify about LTE+ (i.e. Carrier Aggregation) , Is it available or not... I have ordered Pixel 7 and have doubts about LTE+ because somewhere I found that 4G speeds are not upto the mark. In many cities 5G will not be coming untill late next year.

Hello Ranjit, This is going to be my first phone without charger. I have been using OnePlus 5 since it's launch and upgrading to 7 Pro. Do you any charger suggestion for this phone? Also, since none of the phones are going to come with charger, should I get the 65W charger just for future proofing sake or get the 30W charger now and as the technology progresses I will upgrade the charger as well based on the next phone?

Hello Ranjit bhai, I'm viewing your video in my New Pixel 7 and I feel the same pros and cons that you have mentioned anna. I felt like few things are missing in these Pixel Phones: 1. Double tap tweaks to lock or wake, 2. Obviously the Charging speed, 3. I felt like if they can introduce some beta version where we can try out features like a. Dual Apps b. In-built cleaner app like Asus has in ROG That would be great. What you say about the above things bhai? Love your work and love your enthusiasm towards tech bhai.

Good point regarding the 256GB variants not being available in India, big mistake by Google. As you mentioned, it would have been perfectly understandable if they excluded the 512GB variant but this is ridiculous.

If only Google could allow one to remove the date widget (top left). It spoils the look of the home screen if one is using another clock/date widget and needlessly takes up space that can be put to better use.
