I gave you a like for being one of the few reviewing the standard Pixel 8.

So many new things were discussed that usually don't get discussed. Kudos !!

Pixel 8 is a dream minimalist phone..

Not too sure if this is what you meant but the refresh does shift down from 120hz to 60hz when the screen hasn't been touched for a few seconds. You can see this happen if you turn on "Show refresh rate" in the developer options 👍 also thank you so much for covering the regular pixel 8! It is much appreciated 😃

Nice review. That Video AI feature is being delayed because I bet that if it takes too long working with photos, with videos it will struggle big time.

Well I love pixels.. I had the 7 pro initially that i sold for iPhone 14 pro.. Only to realise that the cameras on pixel are unmatched..! So during BBD sale i had an option to either get pixel 7 or 8 as I did not want curved display... But when i compared them on GSMArena, there is hardly any difference in the specs except for the brighter 120hrz display and aome software tricks in the camera.. The chip is all fine.. They all work the same... 2 secs faster doesn't matter to me.. And the pixel 7 in sale was coming at 35k... Whereas the pixel 8 at 62k... So do these couple of changes deseerve the price Google is asking?? No... Not according to me... Had Google launched at 67k with 7-8k card discount and exchange bonus coming to around 52-53k, i wouldnt think twice before getting it... But a pixel base variant at launch, at 68k after card discount, not worth specially given the very few service centers Google has in India... Only 2 to be precise... so what are they charging that much for??

How are spigen case’s? Do they justify their price? The one that i have my eye on is for 1k something.

So not my changed from 6 to 8 😢. I really wanted to upgrade to something better from google with a normal battery. I guess s23 is still a better buy?

One month review for this? Would you still recommend this? (Getting it for 51k - USA version). Considering service for this is not available in delhi, and we’ll have to ship to mumbai :,) Or would it be better to get s23 at 65k? Both 256 gb variants

Can you please do a detailed analysis on the network and call drop issues, which was widely reported for the pixel 7 series ? Whatever you have spoken regarding display, camera, performance etc has been said by other reviewers as well. What most users are interested is how is the 4G and 5G comnectivity which surprisingly most reviewers have not covered. If you do this, your video will set you apart from other reviews

I use my pixel for everything... I just don't know why they don't use the same battery (obviously not the EXACT same, but same basic concept) from the 3a XL, that battery is GOAT in my experience, I could literally game on it all day and still have around 35% left when turn it off and go to bed. It would never heat up like the 6 does. I think they should work on autocorrect, that shit changes my words after I type them, I am spelling them correctly and press each letter seperately.

Quick question - is the front camera focus set to Infinity as it was on P7? If yes, another messed up phone front Google. 7:44 just look at your face, it is out of focus, as a reviewer you must highlight this mess of a problem. Video calls are never in focus, selfies are never in focus, it is so pathetic! I have P7 with same stupid front camera setup. It is irritating to the core.

Yes it should be learning your usage for weeks until it achieves your preferences. Google is more of an AI phone. Better than Iphone for me since it's alot cheaper and more to offer. What Google makes it ahead of others is the cleanliness of the UI. No bloatwares. Compared to videos of Pixel from Pixel 5 to earliers versions, its super refined..what more Dan you ask. It can't beat Iphone level in video but the quality can sometimes be better. Iphone just perfect the stabilization and panning, and I think they're head to head with S23 or better. Like 2nd from Iphone as 1st.

pixel 8 vs s23?? Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is faster, better throttling, more battery efficient with less heat than the Tensor in the Pixel. (The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will be out soon and the Tensor will look even worse in comparison) Tensor chips, which are based on Samsung's Exynos chips are known to be less efficient and having heat management problems, which is probably why Samsung switched to the Snapdragon in the first place. optical fingerprint sensor instead of the faster ultrasonic one on the S23. the UBS-C port of the Pixel still doesn't support display out and there is no alternative for Samsung DeX. S23 is smoother while scrolling and apps open slightly faster and especially cooler altogether. The Face Unlock function on the Pixel 8 is not accurate as samsung. Most of the AI features on pixel are only gimmicks & will be available on the S23 soon too when update drops. ♦The Pixel has outdated hardware now already, that just doesn't make sense since Google is trying to lure people into buying it with the 7 years of updates promise, which is only a promise at this point.

Finger prints? Only fools use a phone without a case of some kind. Most phones are built with a slippery body easily dropped. A case increases grip and protection.

Overall S23 is better than this, and i have many reasons for that, no.1 is software, ONE UI is just ultimate, no.2 cameras, that 3x telephoto cam is amazing for portraits, no.3 is looks, no.4 trust on snapdragon 8 gen 2 for future, trust for samsung service, google doesn't have a lot of service centres in india and its a major issue if u want to use a phone for 3-4 yrs, no.5 charging speeds, i know s23 is not too fast in charging the phone but its better than pixel, no.6 resale
