What's your response to the tensor processor? The benchmark scores may not matter but pixel scores are way way behind to ignore in terms of sheer numbers. Did you experience that in day to day use?

Love the stylised cinematography and the colour grading. 90% tech channels look drab and boring with the MKBHD colour palettes and MWITB ADHD graphics. This looks refreshingly cinematic. Best of luck for future videos.

very good video and informative. I suggest you that if you always keep the results of phone A on left and Phone B on right, then keep it that way all the way till the video ends. Its very confusing when at one comparison iphone is on left and on next its on right and then back again in next comparison on left. Even with titles at bottom it gets confusing. Cheers.

I just ordered the pixel 8, updating from the 4a 5G so it should be a nice boost. I was a bit torn between the 8 and 8 pro but I just couldn’t bring myself to pay nearly 1000 for it (to get the 256g model). I decided to get the less expensive model. I love my pixel, but there are still a few things about the 8 series I think could be better. I figure get the base model and I will have a nice trade in phone if they make some real improvements for the 9 or 10

@@aileen8492 just a few little things, the face unlock uses a picture and not lidar so it doesn't work in the dark. The finger print reader also takes a picture whereas most other use sonic scanning I believe. They both work well enough, it's been a good phone so far. The 8 won't get access to Gemini either but I don't care about that. It has very good outside viewing brightness, best phone I've ever had as far as brightness is concerned

7:25 you put "locked" mode on, which IS NOT the strong stabilisation mode. It's a separate thing. The active stabilisation is the button on the right. Locked just crops in and whatever you point it at, it will not move from that until you push it out of frame

The iPhone has got a similar trick to the double press of the power button. Just need to go into the accessibility settings and map the power button to start the camera by triple pressing the power button….

A suggestion. It would help if for all comparisons you choose left for Phone X an right side for phone Y so that the use can use that weighing instinct in terms of the direction that they're 'leaning' towards. Its confusing when sometimes the iphone display is on the left side of the video and on the next comparison it is the pixel8 :) Great video otherwise, super helpful thank you!

Action mode is called action on pixel, not "locked", it's the icon next to it, with a person running. I think steven knows that, but won't show it due to the fact that it can do 1080p, 30 fps, unlike the iphone with 4k...

3:58 classic pixel problem, if you look closely your face is out of focus in the pixel footage. Why? Because the amazing engineers opted to set the focus to infinity (background is crisp) and then they try to fix it in post with face unblur. This has been an issue since since 7 series and NOBODY is talking about it. For a daily user this is a huge problem as every selfie is simply out of focus! Please someone make a video about it and make Google realise the blunder they have made.

Like when you said that the pixel has the "double click the power button to open camera" and for the iPhone you just said it's not that easy without even mentioning the on lock screen button. I will definitely make a test of the S24 Ultra's camera system once I get a hold of the phone. But judging from the launch specs I'm a little bit disappointed they went for 5x camera instead of 10x. The rest is yet to be seen once the phone is available over here

It's tough to choose because I want the iphone display. But I want the pixel rear camera. Sucks to have to choose either a reference display or a a reference camera. I think if I could only have one I'd go with the iPhone.
